This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! I really had a pleasant stay. Everything about the hotel was relaxing and although I didn’t sleep well (due to being in a different bed to my own) there was nothing I could complain about. Staff were great, breakfast was ok (selection of cooked breakfast, pastries, toast,cereals & fruit) and you’re greeted with that famous cookie! :)

Das Zimmer war größer als erwartet und hatte einen Patio zu sitzen, das Bett war komfortabel und alles ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von den Mews Zimmern gelegen. Ich bemerkte, das Badezimmer war etwas schmutzig und das heiße Wasser für die Dusche ging heute Morgen komplett. Der Wartungsmann musste rauskommen und den Kessel reparieren, um die Frage zu korrigieren. Die Lage ist absolut erstaunlich und die Gärten sind gut gepflegt. Es ist wirklich ein schöner Teil des Vereinigten Königreichs und das Hauptgebäude ist wunderschön. Das Gardenia Restaurant ist ein paar Tage der Woche für Abendessen und auch Frühstück geschlossen, was ich nicht für ideal gehalten hatte. So mussten wir draußen essen, da das Spa Restaurant nicht wirklich was ich suche, für ein schönes Abendessen. Für das Frühstück mussten wir zum saugen Spa Restaurant gehen, das eine sehr begrenzte Auswahl an Lebensmitteln hatte. Es gab etwa 6 Gerichte zu wählen, sagten sie, Der Koch kocht nicht geschrotet Ei, das ist ein Frühstück wesentlich, so dass ich grundsätzlich eine Toastplatte. Da ich nichts wollte auf dem Menü und mir wurde gesagt, dass die Schmiermaschine zerbrochen war, so konnte ich nicht einmal dafür entscheiden. Das geschah unmittelbar nach dem heißen Wasser war weg, so war ein bisschen Dampfer. Ich kam vor ein paar Jahren zum Hotel, als Sie nicht für den Spa-Zugang bezahlen mussten, aber jetzt tun Sie das etwas irritierend. Besonders, da Sie nur während des Frühstücks oder Abendessens besuchen können, auch mit der Zuschlag von £20. So dann müssen Sie entweder sehr spät am Abend essen oder einen späten Mittagessen sonst die £20 wird nicht gut verbraucht und Sie werden das Spa nach einer Stunde verlassen müssen

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel overall. The service was friendly and attentive, with staff always willing to help. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, which made the stay relaxing. I also enjoyed the food — there was a good variety, and everything tasted fresh. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Großer Preis für Geld. Das Hotel wurde für einen schnellen Halt vor der Reise verwendet. Großes Zimmer, ein wenig altmodisch, aber kein Problem zum Preis, den wir gezahlt haben, zu erwarten. Alles im Zimmer, was notwendig war und sehr sauber. Kein Aufzug zum zweiten Stock so ein wenig schwierig mit schwerem Gepäck, aber wir haben es geschafft. Würde wieder bleiben, wenn in der gleichen Situation.

Meine Frau und ich blieben drei Nächte lang, um unsere Geburtstagsfeier zu feiern. Unser Aufenthalt war außergewöhnlich und vor allem alle Mitarbeiter, die nicht genug für uns und mit einem Lächeln und guten Humor tun konnten. Der Service war auf dem Platz wie das Essen im Restaurant, wir essen dort alle drei Nächte und genossen Top-Küche, Wein und Bier. Ein besonderer Hinweis war die 'Happy Anniversary' Schlauch mit ein paar Coconut-Eissüße! Die Frühstücksbuffets waren schön vorgestellt und perfekt gekocht, obwohl wir den Bacon nur etwas hart, aber völlig ätbar gefunden haben. Superb gepflückte Eier! Als Kommentar frische Fische wären ein schönes Zuschlag beim Frühstück gewesen, obwohl Rauchlachs verfügbar war. Das Bett war sehr komfortabel und das Zimmer ohne Spott und mit den meisten Einrichtungen man erwartet. Es wäre hilfreich gewesen, einen nicht-slip-Mat zu haben Für das Bad sowie eine Griffhandle für die Sicherheit. Auch Seifen-Versorger neben der Dusche wären hilfreich gewesen. Da der Sommer extrem heiß ist (2026) Klimaanlage war sehr willkommen! Die Spa-Anlagen waren auch schön!

Perfekt großzügiges Zimmer, schön eingerichtet, das Hotel selbst ist riesig und so gut dargestellt. Sehr schönes Schwimmbad. Viele Platze zu sitzen und zu essen, wenn Sie auch möchten. Es gibt auch ein Fitnesscenter und ein Spa (Wir haben diese nicht verwendet, aber wir wissen, dass sie da sind) gibt es Telefone in den Zimmern, so dass Sie Zimmerservice bestellen können, wenn Sie wollen. Die Mitarbeiter klopften am zweiten Abend auf unsere Tür und fragten, ob wir gerne irgendwelche Füllungen auf Teebagen Kaffee oder Zucker oder irgendwelche frische Handtücher. So gut mannig und polit. Nur ein überall schöner Ort zu gehen und es buchstäblich neben Brands Hatch, wo wir brauchen zu sein. Kann nicht fehlen diesen Ort..

Hotel is conveniently located by the M2 motorway, close to the town of Gravesend. Hotel staff were polite and helpful and the cleanliness of the hotel throughout was acceptable. Room was cozy, soft bedding and plenty of tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom was small but well equipped, decent water pressure and temperature. Restaurant attached is nice affordable and fast service.

Schöne Wochenendereise für ein Paar, zwei Lagerhallen, Sauna und Pool alle offen und in guter Zustand

The hotel is a bit dated but for the price we paid, it was good value. In terms of location, it was great for us as we were guests at a wedding at Leeds Castle and this hotel was literally around the corner. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did not use the leisure centre, but was told by family that it was really nice, especially the swimming pool. Regarding the room, as soon as you walk in you can smell the drains in the bathroom which is by the door but it's not that bad that you can smell it in the room. We had a family room which was large and had a king and two singles. The room was ok regarding cleanliness, some missed areas and dead insects which may have flown in through the big windows. Breakfast was nice with a decent selection of food and good choice of drinks which was needed after a hot weekend. Overall we are pleased with our stay and would recommend it.
