Good location, close proximity within few minutes walking distance to KSL and many eateries. Nicely decorated and clean unit, aircon is powerful and wifi is working well. Thanks to the host for helping us book the Karaoke room, my family had a great time singing. Unfortunately our stay is too short and we didn't get a chance to use the pool table when we realised the apartment also has one. Only shortcoming is the pungent smell especially in the common bathroom coming from the sewage, but I realised it is very common in most apartments in JB that I have stayed so far. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Abit had a bad trip for this time as water heater dont have hot water... The hairDryer spoil i cant even blow dry my hair. Hopefully can check everything ok before pass key to tourists as this is my 2nd time visit hope is not the last time.

We booked this accommodation at the last min as we were looking for a play to stay. Location was great, near CIQ and Komtar JBCC. Room wasn’t very clean but liveable for one night. There was a stain on our comforter and bedsheet (as seen in pic) and we told the staff to change it but I think due to miscom they gave us a thin piece of blanket (?) instead. So we basically slept without a comforter but it’s fine cos the aircon wasn’t very cold. It got colder towards the morning. There wasn’t any hair dryer too. We could also hear vehicles passing by and people closing their doors etc, the area wasn’t very soundproof. Still, we managed to get a good rest. Would recommend if you’re not fussy and looking for cheaper alternatives.

Pros: The location is excellent, with plenty of halal dining options nearby and a small shopping mall just a few minutes’ walk away. The hotel is conveniently located about 25 minutes from the Mini Zoo and only 10 minutes from Desaru Beach. The room rates are affordable, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a connecting room, which we greatly appreciated. The room was also clean and comfortable. Cons: One major inconvenience was that the refrigerator automatically switched off whenever we left the room. After spending a long, hot day outdoors, it was disappointing to return and find our drinks no longer cold. On our first night, we requested an extra towel and toothbrush set since there were three guests in the room. Unfortunately, the items were not delivered, even after we followed up at the front desk. There was also no floor mat provided. Thankfully, our experience improved the next day thanks to Zamre at the front desk. He was friendly, helpful, and made sure we received everything we needed. He also ensured our room was ready by 1 PM. Zamre’s excellent service truly stood out and made a positive difference to our stay. He is probably the main reason we would choose to return to Fives Desaru on our next visit. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, and with improvements in housekeeping responsiveness, the experience would be even better.

Room large but TV outdated, aircon not cold, no USB plug for charging despite hotel had undergone recent renovations, check in/out very slow despite only 2 guests in the line. Hotel location is great with many food outlets within walking distance and also night market on every Monday evening . Next to main road and also very near to JB town. Price wise very competitive. Would still choose to stay here the next trip.

this is best apartment stay thus far. location of apartment is good. the unit itself is well maintained, clean and considered quite new. will want to stay again! (oh swimming pool is big! kids love it!)

Das Design des Hotels ist sehr gemütlich und wie sein Name impliziert, ist es auf ein japanisches Tatami-stilte Thema gebunden. Meine Familie liebt es und die Betten sind komfortabel. Basis Toiletten, Wasser und Kaffee werden auch bereitgestellt. Service ist ziemlich standardisiert und herzlich. Das einzige, was von der angenehme Erfahrung weggenommen werden könnte, wäre die Lärmfestigkeit der Wände und Zimmer. Der Lärm ist hörbar und Sie können die Details Ihrer Nachbarn klar hören.

Das Hotelzimmer ist super geräumig im Vergleich zum Fives Hotel im Stadtzentrum. Wunderbares Personal. Die Kons sind kein Frühstück und die Lage ist nicht sehr bequem für diejenigen ohne Auto. Aber es gibt ein paar Essen und Komfortladen in der Nähe.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Honestly, this is one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced in my life. First of all, the bed is unbelievably hard — it feels more like sleeping on a wooden board than a mattress. On top of that, the air conditioning is extremely noisy, making it almost impossible to fall asleep or stay asleep throughout the night. What made it even worse is the pillows. They are excessively hard and uncomfortably high, causing serious neck discomfort. I genuinely do not understand how any guest is expected to get a proper rest under these conditions. I even called the front desk to request a different pillow, but was told that all pillows are the same and cannot be changed. This kind of response is completely unacceptable for any hotel that claims to provide comfort and service. Overall, this stay was a terrible experience. I will definitely not return, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values a good night’s sleep. ------------------------------- Saya sangat kecewa dengan pengalaman menginap di hotel ini. Das Hotel Almas ist eine hervorragende Erfahrung von Anfang bis Ende. Die Unterkunft war sehr komfortabel und gut gepflegt, bietet eine entspannende und angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Mitarbeiter waren aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell, sichergestellt, dass alle meine Bedürfnisse schnell erfüllt wurden. Die Lage war bequem, so dass es einfach zu erreichen nahegelegene Attraktionen und Einrichtungen. Insgesamt empfehle ich Almas für jeden, der einen hochwertigen Aufenthalt mit großer Service und Komfort sucht. Es überstieg meine Erwartungen und ich würde definitiv zurückkehren.
