3 friends went on a 1-night staycation in Johor Bahru for a girls’ night out, and we had such a great experience! 😊 It can feel a bit unsafe walking along the roadside late at night, but the hotel front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, which made us feel much more at ease. They even surprised us with free foldable recyclable bags (the red packet in the photo), which was such a thoughtful touch! The room was spotless and very well-maintained. We were also pleasantly surprised to be given a high-floor room on level 20 even though we only checked in around 11 pm — such a nice bonus! The view was amazing, overlooking the customs area and parts of Jalan Wong Ah Fook, especially at night. Location-wise, it’s super convenient — only about a 10-minute walk to Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, where there are plenty of food and café options. Overall, we had a really pleasant and enjoyable stay. It’s definitely great value for money, and we would absolutely come back again for another girls’ trip! 💖

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht über meinen Aufenthalt. Einer der Hauptgründe, warum ich dieses Hotel gewählt habe, war für das Bad, aber leider konnte es nicht verwendet werden, da der Stopp nicht funktionierte. Daher konnte ich überhaupt nicht ein gutes Bad genießen. Darüber hinaus war die Haltung des Front-Desk-Personals nicht sehr freundlich oder hilfreich, was die Erfahrung noch enttäuschender machte. Insgesamt erfüllte dieser Aufenthalt nicht meine Erwartungen. Ich hoffe, das Hotel kann diese Fragen ernst nehmen und Verbesserungen für künftige Gäste machen.

5mins walk to CIQ. Komta shopping mall is just opposite the hotel. Taking grab from hotel is easy. Hotel room is facing Komta shopping mall is abit noisy as there is a pub beside the hotel. Live band singing is very loud and did not stop until 12 midnight. You can’t take a quick shower as you need to have patience to adjust the hot/cold tap to the right temperature otherwise you may get “burnt” from the hot water. We managed the water technique as we stayed the hotel for 2 nights. Hotel bed is comfy and the staff is very nice and helpful.

Allerdings machte die Lage des Zimmers gegenüber dem Park und der Hauptstraße es ziemlich laut, vor allem während der Spitzenstunden. Wenn Sie empfindlich für den Klang sind, empfehle ich Ihnen, ein Zimmer auf einer ruhigeren Seite des Hotels zu beantragen. Insgesamt, ein guter Aufenthalt mit ausgezeichneter Reinigung, aber Lärm kann ein Problem sein.

Das Hotel ist ziemlich sauber und komfortabel zu bleiben, nur eine Sache nicht gut genug, das ist die Sound-Isolierung sehr schlecht. Wir können die nächste Zimmergruppe von Malay Mädchen Chit Chat und lachen sogar um Mitternacht etwas und auch am nächsten Tag früher Morgen um 7.30 hören. Dies ist ziemlich irritierend, weil wir unsere Ruhe stören. Andere sollten ganz ok sein.

This hotel is very old, water leaking from aircon duct, rain splashing in from the top window. Other than that, it’s still clean, and location is great, there’s food street beside, lots of eateries nearby And ksl is not far away as well The price is reasonable, if they are able to fix the broken window and aircon duct, that be perfect!

Während meines ersten Aufenthalts wurde ich auf eine Suite upgradiert, die mir einen sehr guten Eindruck gab. Leider war dieses Mal das Zimmer, das ich gegeben hatte, sehr enttäuschend. Das Zimmer war klein und hatte keine Fenster, was den Aufenthalt unbehaglich machte. Beide von uns erwachten sogar am nächsten Morgen mit roten, juckenden Marken auf unseren Beinen. Das Bad war sehr dunkel und nicht praktisch. Das Frühstück war genau das gleiche wie zuvor, ohne Verbesserung oder Änderungen. Der einzige Vorteil ist die bequeme Lage, da es hinter dem Hotel ein lokales Gericht gibt, wo man leicht gute lokale Lebensmittel finden kann. Aber früh am Morgen, wenn man den Aufzug zum Frühstück oder beim Check-out nimmt, gab es einen starken Geruch an Ölfutter, was unbehaglich war. Insgesamt erfüllte dieser Aufenthalt meine Erwartungen nicht, und ich werde in Zukunft andere Unterkünfte in Betracht ziehen.

Stayed at Miico Hotel Mount Austin previously and recently tried Miico Hotel Permas Jaya. The Permas Jaya branch is relatively new, so everything feels fresh and clean, which is a plus. The corridor ambience is calming with subtle decor and classical music, adding a nice touch to the overall experience. However, soundproofing is limited—I could hear conversations from the corridor and adjacent rooms. The room door was slightly stiff to open fully, and there was a mild unusual smell in the toilet. Occasional loud noises at night were also noticeable, likely from outside the hotel. Overall, a decent short stay with a pleasant atmosphere, but improvements in soundproofing and minor maintenance would enhance the experience.

I stayed at this budget hotel and had a pleasant experience. The hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable for a budget stay. The self check-in kiosk was very convenient and easy to use. The location is very strategic, with restaurants, kedai mamak, 99 Speedmart, and other food stalls all within walking distance. It made everything very convenient, especially for meals and daily needs. Overall, it’s a good value for money, and I would consider staying here again.
