Das Hostel liegt etwas außerhalb, verglichen mit den anderen, man ist jedoch in 10 Minuten zu Fuß in der Stadt. Das Bad und die Küche sind recht ordentlich, es gibt direkt Steckdosen am Bett. Leider gehen die Vorhänge nicht ganz zu. Ich hatte leider keinen schönen Aufenthalt weil einige männergruppen sehr laut nachts geredet haben. Allgemein sind hier eher ältere Leute und vor allem Männer. Als Frau würde ich es daher weniger empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Handtücher kosten $3.

Das Zimmer war sehr kompakt, aber es gab nur genügend Platz, um große Koffer zu lagern und zu öffnen, und es gibt schwere Drahtstutzen unter dem Bett für die Lagerung (kein Verschluss vorhanden). Das Gebäude selbst ist eng und kompakt, mit ziemlich wenigen Treppen benötigt, um die Küche, Badezimmer, Lounge-Gebiete und einige Zimmer zu erreichen, was für diejenigen mit schwerem Gepäck oder begrenzte Mobilität ungünstig sein kann. Unser Bodengeschoss war direkt unter den Duscheeinheiten, und mit dünnen Wänden, Lärm aus Wasser laufen, Fußgänger und Straßenverkehr (als es zentral auf einer Hauptstraße liegt) war bemerkbar. Lichte Schlafer finden diese störend. Die Einrichtungen sind gut, mit zwei gemeinsamen Küchen (Stoftops, Toaster, Mikrowelle, Kessel, Kühlschrank, Geschirrspüler und Kälteschrank), Innen- und Balkon-Sitzbereiche und einem großen Lounge (nur TV-DVDs spielen). Es gibt mehrere gemeinsame Unisex-Badezimmer, einschließlich Einzeleinheiten und einen Raum mit zwei Duschen und Toiletten. Dies kann nicht jeder passen. Morgens gereinigt, aber am Ende des Tages schmutzig. Auf einer positiven, gibt es viele Badematten, flüssige Seife und ein Haartrockner. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt für vier Tage und drei Nächte. Erstens ist die Lage sehr gut. Es dauert drei Minuten, um den Nzone-Laden zu erreichen, drei Minuten, um Info&Track zu erreichen (der Bus fährt nach Glenorchy), fünf Minuten, um Fergburger und Fergbaker zu erreichen, und zehn Minuten, um Kiwi Park und die Seilbahnstation zu erreichen . Bis zur Haltestelle des Flughafenbusses Nr. 1 sind es fünf Minuten zu Fuß. Die Haltestelle des Überlandbusses befindet sich ebenfalls in der Nähe, sodass das Laufen mit Koffern überhaupt nicht ermüdend ist. Auch der Service an der Rezeption ist sehr freundlich. Obwohl das Zimmer klein ist, können 2 Koffer unter das Bett gestellt werden und es riecht nicht seltsam im Zimmer. Obwohl die Küche klein ist, ist zu den Hauptkochzeiten fast niemand da. Das Restaurant befindet sich im vierten Stock. Die Umgebung ist ziemlich gut und es sind nicht viele Leute da. Es war sehr ruhig und ich konnte mich in den letzten Tagen gut erholen. empfehlen.

At first glance, the place seems lovely and inviting. However, on closer inspection, there are quite a few maintenance issues that need attention. Several lights weren’t working (only about 2 out of 5), the carpet wasn’t as clean as it initially appeared, and there was mould in the shower. There are also signs of wear such as plastering around the sink, and the hairdryer made an unhealthy noise when used. The toilet bolts were loose, which was concerning. The bathroom lacks an extractor fan, so it becomes very steamy. The shower head is quite small with low pressure. While there is an outdoor area, it doesn’t offer much privacy as the motel is right on the road. Parking is available on-site, which is a plus, but there are no laundry facilities. There is a makeshift kitchenette with a toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge, and basic cutlery and crockery. However, it’s not suitable for cooking proper meals, and the lack of a sink makes washing up or even filling the kettle inconvenient. On the positive side, the location is excellent—right next to a New World supermarket and very central. Overall, the place is reasonably clean, tidy, and comfortable, but it would benefit from some maintenance.

Nice place with central location of the Oamaru town, near Woolworth supermarket, some nice old-fashion places and beach. Nice to visit and grab photos. Hotel keeps original decoration you can feel warm with the fireplace and wooden furniture. But the room is clean with modern style.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this retreat. The place itself is absolutely spectacular — very calming, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by breathtaking views. The deck is stunning, and it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The owners were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and looked after throughout my stay. Their hospitality genuinely stood out. The dogs were lovely and added so much warmth to the experience. Breakfast was excellent, and the variety of teas available was out of this world. As a female solo traveller, I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well cared for, which is something I value highly. The atmosphere is peaceful and nurturing — exactly what you want from a retreat. The only minor downside is that it’s a bit far from the shops (around a one-hour walk). However, this was easily managed as Uber is only a 6-minute drive, and the hosts were also kind enough to offer lifts when possible. Overall, an absolutely stunning place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay

Dies ist in fast jedem Hotel (in Neuseeland) so. Die Matratze ist super bequem und stützend. Sehr guter Schlaf. Hygiene: sauber, makellos, zufriedenstellend, kostengünstig Umgebung: Ruhige Wohngegend. Ich habe morgens ein Kätzchen gesehen. Amazing campsite! The staff are super friendly, everything you need is on site, and the views are incredible. We stayed in the Denver tent and it was so comfortable and very clean. Would highly recommend you stay here!

I stayed at the Law Courts Hotel recently, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. The building is very old and hasn’t had much renovation. The bathroom still has those separate hot and cold taps, which are inconvenient, and the carpet looked quite worn and not very clean—it definitely feels like the place could use some updating. That said, the location is fantastic—right in the heart of Dunedin, so it’s super convenient for getting around. It’s also very affordable, which is a big plus if you’re on a budget. Just keep in mind that being so central means it can be noisy; Saturday night, in particular, was hard to sleep through with all the street noise. Overall, if you’re after a budget-friendly place in a great location and don’t mind the quirks of an older hotel, it’s worth considering. But if you’re looking for something more modern and comfortable, you might want to look elsewhere.

Loved this hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good and loved game zone in the hotel. Overall very nice experience. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
