Das Hostel liegt etwas außerhalb, verglichen mit den anderen, man ist jedoch in 10 Minuten zu Fuß in der Stadt. Das Bad und die Küche sind recht ordentlich, es gibt direkt Steckdosen am Bett. Leider gehen die Vorhänge nicht ganz zu. Ich hatte leider keinen schönen Aufenthalt weil einige männergruppen sehr laut nachts geredet haben. Allgemein sind hier eher ältere Leute und vor allem Männer. Als Frau würde ich es daher weniger empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Handtücher kosten $3.

Clean, tidy, and generally comfortable stay. The room was quite compact, but there was just enough space to store and open large suitcases, and there are heavy drawers under the bed for storage (no lock provided). The building itself is narrow and compact, with quite a few stairs required to access the kitchen, bathrooms, lounge areas, and some rooms, which may be inconvenient for those with heavy luggage or limited mobility. Our ground-floor room was directly below the shower units, and with thin walls, noise from water running, footsteps, and street traffic (as it’s centrally located on a main road) was noticeable. Light sleepers may find this disruptive. Facilities are good, with two shared kitchens (stovetops, toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge, cutlery, and crockery), indoor and balcony seating areas, and a large lounge (TV plays DVDs only). There are multiple shared unisex bathrooms, including single units and a space with two showers and toilets. This may not suit everyone. Cleaned in the morning but gets dirty by end of day. On a positive, there are plenty of bath mats, liquid soap, and a hair dryer are provided. Laundry is available via QR code payment (around $6 per wash or dry), and on-site parking is offered at $40 per night. Towel available for hire ($4). Staff super friendly.

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt für vier Tage und drei Nächte. Erstens ist die Lage sehr gut. Es dauert drei Minuten, um den Nzone-Laden zu erreichen, drei Minuten, um Info&Track zu erreichen (der Bus fährt nach Glenorchy), fünf Minuten, um Fergburger und Fergbaker zu erreichen, und zehn Minuten, um Kiwi Park und die Seilbahnstation zu erreichen . Bis zur Haltestelle des Flughafenbusses Nr. 1 sind es fünf Minuten zu Fuß. Das Restaurant befindet sich im vierten Stock. Die Umgebung ist ziemlich gut und es sind nicht viele Leute da. Es war sehr ruhig und ich konnte mich in den letzten Tagen gut erholen. empfehlen.

Das Bad ist etwas klein und Kochen ist nicht wirklich praktisch. Die Betten sind bequem, der Balkon ist schön und der Grüne Supermarkt ist direkt nebenan. Auch zum See ist es super nah. Insgesamt gut, mit einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Kirschen vom Grünen Supermarkt waren günstiger, frischer und leckerer als die aus der Obststadt.

Schöner Ort mit zentraler Lage der Stadt Oamaru, in der Nähe des Supermarktes Woolworth, einige schöne alte Mode-Stätten und Strand. Sehr schön zu besuchen und Fotos zu fangen. Das Hotel hält die Originaldekoration, die Sie mit dem Feuerplatz und Holzmöbeln warm fühlen können. Aber das Zimmer ist sauber mit modernem Stil.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this retreat. The place itself is absolutely spectacular — very calming, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by breathtaking views. The deck is stunning, and it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The owners were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and looked after throughout my stay. Their hospitality genuinely stood out. The dogs were lovely and added so much warmth to the experience. Breakfast was excellent, and the variety of teas available was out of this world. As a female solo traveller, I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well cared for, which is something I value highly. The atmosphere is peaceful and nurturing — exactly what you want from a retreat. The only minor downside is that it’s a bit far from the shops (around a one-hour walk). However, this was easily managed as Uber is only a 6-minute drive, and the hosts were also kind enough to offer lifts when possible. Overall, an absolutely stunning place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay

Die Lage des Grundstücks bei unserer Ankunft war nicht akzeptabel, viel unter den grundlegenden Standards der Reinigung, Sicherheit und Komfort. Während unseres Aufenthalts haben wir überall mehrere wichtige Fragen aufgetreten: Der Waschmaschine war voll von standhaftem, stagnierendem Wasser bei unserer Ankunft, so dass es bis zum Entsorgen unbrauchbar war. Die gelieferte Kochware war flüchtig, mit fetten, verbrannten Rückständen auf den Pannen, die vor der Verwendung schrauben mussten, deren Reinigungsmittel bis zur Anfrage nicht geliefert wurden. In den Wänden des Hauses sind sichtbare Löcher. Besonders bemerkenswert waren die Badewanne Lichtanordnungen los und sichtbar aus der Decke hängen/fallen, was eine echte Sicherheitsgefahr darstellt. Die allgemeine Reinigung war schlecht. In den Badezimmern zeigte die Decke und Dachbekleidung einen bemerkenswerten Schmutz und Grimm-Aufbau. Die Lounge Suiten sind geschnitten, ausgeschmückt und aktiv abfallen, bieten weder ästhetische Anreize noch grundlegende Komfort. Darüber hinaus waren die Betten extrem unkomfortable, die unsere Fähigkeit, über die vier Nächte schlafen schwer beeinflussen.

Really nice looking room and a very good price performance ratio. And you even get a complimentary drink. Room was nice and warm upon arrival. I didnt really understand the self checkin for a second, cause i didnt know the rooms were directly at the parkinglot, where the whiteboards and the name are written. Really easy and useful for a fast checkin and checkout. I would stay there again.

Amazing campsite! The staff are super friendly, everything you need is on site, and the views are incredible. We stayed in the Denver tent and it was so comfortable and very clean. Would highly recommend you stay here!

I stayed at the Law Courts Hotel recently, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. The building is very old and hasn’t had much renovation. The bathroom still has those separate hot and cold taps, which are inconvenient, and the carpet looked quite worn and not very clean—it definitely feels like the place could use some updating. That said, the location is fantastic—right in the heart of Dunedin, so it’s super convenient for getting around. It’s also very affordable, which is a big plus if you’re on a budget. Just keep in mind that being so central means it can be noisy; Saturday night, in particular, was hard to sleep through with all the street noise. Overall, if you’re after a budget-friendly place in a great location and don’t mind the quirks of an older hotel, it’s worth considering. But if you’re looking for something more modern and comfortable, you might want to look elsewhere.
