The hotel itself was a great experience and we did enjoy the novelty of staying in the prison which I would recommend to anyone.
Upon arrival we were welcome by the team but very basic information was given, leading to us missing a tour of the hotel which we were told was included in the price. The manager then offered for one of the team to do a later tour for just the two of us which was cut short, very awkward and definitely not worth the money paid for. If we had been advised of the tour with the bigger group when checking in we may have had a better experience.
We decided to book dinner at the chapel to experience it as much as we could but dinner was poor. We had to wait for our table, 3 different people asked for our name before we sat down and then again a fourth person checked once we were sat down. With minimal staff on the service was poor to say the least and The burger ordered was pretty much raw, I did not finish it. Once we had finished no one came to ask if we wanted anything else or to look at a dessert menu. We left the restaurant with no one even there working! Not sure where the team had disappeared to.
Breakfast was good and would recommend it.

A mixed experience. We booked for the pool facilities, which were great. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening - excellent food and very good service. The breakfast was good too. Some buts, though. Our room had a very uncomfortable bed, a strange electrical light show from some devices in the ceiling once we turned the lights out and a repeated electrical buzzing sound all through the night which disrupted our sleep.The staff moved us to a much more comfortable room on the second night. The floors upstairs were so bouncy that it felt like the hotel must have the underlying structure of a rickety prefab - very odd and a little unsettling. And the restaurant had no character at all - an almost sterile feel. All a bit odd. While the pool, the food and the service really were great, and the many golfers who visited were clearly delighted, some of the spaces do need a refurb and a rethink.

Amazing little hotel few mins walk from train station and short walk into Newquay town, close to all amenities; friendly front desk staff easy quick check in process and helpful with our luggage! Bougie chic room and the decorative style of hotel was very chic and upmarket would definitely recommend 💯

I'm not really sure where to start reviewing the Harbour Hotel in Fowey - part of me doesn't want to publicise how fantastic this place is! We really enjoyed our stay - we really didn't want to leave! The helpful and friendly staff (Karina on our last evening at dinner was particularly brilliant), excellent food (we had a cream tea, breakfasts and dinner) and a superb room with a stunning view over the bay. The hotel's position in Fowey is fantastic - allowing short walks to the centre, the harbour and walks - as well as having those jaw-dropping views from the bar/restaurant. Thank you for your hospitality and we'd love to come back and stay again!

Fantastisch! Das Personal war so willkommen und hilfsbereit. Nichts war zu viel Problem. Die Parkplatz unter dem Hotel war so bequem. Das Frühstückszimmer über den Hafen war erstaunlich. Das Frühstück war erstaunlich. Viele Wahlen und hervorragende Qualität. Unsere Zimmer waren geräumig und komfortabel. Kann nichts fehlen und würde definitiv zurückkehren.

We felt very welcome as soon as we entered. The staff were polite, professional and down to earth friendly. We only live 6 miles away but will certainly be staying again. I think we have found our place for getting away from the children

Wir blieben am St micheals für unser Jahrestagsende und liebte es! Wir blieben im Deluxe König und es war ein schönes Zimmer mit viel Platz. Das Frühstück war ein schönes kochiertes Frühstück mit vielen Optionen von Obst und Waffeln, schöner Blick auch! OOlly reviewsKing Arthur’s Arms ist fantastisch in der Nähe eines riesigen Autoparks, aber auf Fore Street, die ist die Main Street, die durch Tintagel laufen und ca. 3 Minuten zu Fuß bis zum oberen Hügel führt nach unten zum Tintagel Castle von English Heritage. Bei der Ankunft wurde uns von Jess in der Bar mit einem sehr freundlichen freundlichen freundlichen Empfang überprüft. Der Geruch der Sauberkeit entstand uns, als wir in unser riesiges Zimmer mit Doppelbett, Schrank, Kleidung Tisch, einfachen Stühlen und riesiges Badezimmer mit Doppelwand im Dusche, Dusche, Toilette und Heizungsstrahlrätin gelaufen. riesiges Zimmer für Cornwall und unschädlich. Wir kühlten und wandten sich um Tintagel Castle und dann zurück zum Pub zum Abendessen. Es ist ein umfangreiches Menü mit riesigen Teilen. Es gab kein Problem mit Pub-Geräusch und wir schliefen gut, wach für ein umfangreiches Frühstück, das mit einer Auswahl von Getreide und Getreide beginnt, dann Full English, Tee, Kaffee und Saft! Wir konnten dann ein paar Stunden nach dem Auschecken um 10 Uhr parkieren, um um Tintagel zu wandeln.
Es kann nicht wirklich empfehlen, King Arthurs Arme genug und vor allem nur für alle Eltern mit Kindern sicher, freundlich und untergebracht und schreien nach Jess für einen super freundlichen Service überall!

GGastnutzerHas everything you may need for a night's stay. Bed was comfortable. It wasn't very clean, with cobwebs in every corner of the room and a couple spiders aswell. I had to get rid of a few mosquitos as well. There was dust on light fittings and lamp shades, the bathroomlifght switch didnt look like it had been cleaned. The room had a very noticeable damp smell in the air and there were small spots of what looked like mould, on the bathroom ceiling. The toilet seat was stained a yellow colour 🤢(its only a few quid for a new 1🫤). The carpet hadn't seemed to be hoovered before I arrived as there was some dirt and dead insects lying around. Luckily I didn't have to spend too much time in the room, most of the time I was sleeping, otherwise I would have asked to stay in another room to be very honest. The breakfast was really good though!

Additionally, it's only about a 20-minute drive to Hayle Bay and around 25 minutes to St. Michael's Mount, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. The rooms are impeccably clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend The Penventon Park Hotel for anyone visiting the area.

GGastnutzerI can't begin to tell you how great the choice of this hotel was. We booked it as was going the the theatre to see the Luther tribute band who were amazing at the Hall for Cornwall. Under a minute from the hotel.
There was free parking right in the centre of the town which we managed to arrive early and use this facility.
We booked a queen size bed which was huge and very comfortable. The rooms are a tad tired but totally acceptable.
The staff in the bar were lovely and accommodating. This went from day and night staff!
This is the perfect hotel for shopping in Truro too.
Can't wait for our next visit! Fitted in a visit to Truro Cathedral too, truly inspiring!

AAna SakandelidzeAbsolutely loved our stay here! The location is perfect—right by the river and close to beautiful gardens and stunning views. We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant; the food was incredibly delicious and way beyond our expectations, especially for the price. It felt like a fancy dining experience without the hefty bill.
We had requested a non-carpeted room, and were so happy they accommodated it. The view from our window was just gorgeous. Everything about the place was peaceful, and the facilities were top-notch—jacuzzi, warm indoor pool, saunas, and even options to try golf or tennis.
Overall, such a great experience for the price. We both left feeling relaxed and grateful. Thank you!

Das Frühstück war sehr gut – frische Zutaten, schmackvolle englische Optionen und schöne Gerichte. Der Avocado-Toast und die klassische Frühstücksplatte waren beide ausgezeichnet.
Die Service war freundlich und professionell über meinen Aufenthalt. Das Restaurant war sauber und gut organisiert.
