Samal Island ist nur wenige Minuten mit dem Boot von Davao City entfernt. Discovery hat ein eigenes Charter-Schnellboot zum Anwesen. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir in die Hauptlobby begleitet. Von der Hauptlobby aus sehen Sie den Strand (weißer Sand, aber nicht so fein). Dort gibt es auch das Restaurant Haribsr und Morning Catch. Dann wurden wir mit Golfwagen zu unserem Schlafzimmer begleitet. Vom Schlafzimmer aus hat man einen Blick auf den olympischen Pool mit Blick auf Davao CITY. Das Anwesen hat auch eine schwimmende Kapelle, ein Kongresszentrum und Villen mit eigenem Pool. Das Schlafzimmer ist groß und hat eine eigene Terrasse. Insgesamt ist das Resort sehr schön. Erst ein Jahr nach der Eröffnung sind die Mitarbeiter sehr nett, zuvorkommend und gut ausgebildet. Besonders zu erwähnen ist einer der Mitarbeiter, der sich um uns gekümmert hat, Sir Ching. Er hat sich besonders viel Mühe gegeben, um uns ein Zimmer mit Kingsize-Bett mit Blick auf den Pool zu finden. Vielen Dank!

the location was good layout of bars and entertainment was good for samal island,, the location was also not far from the main town area which makes it good location, were other ” resorts” and that word is badly applied to most on samal island , where they charge more than what they ever give in facilities also , room per night cost vers what the room provided is excesive priced , the room hot water could not reach 26degs , , shower head was so blocked with water decay that is barely worked , the main shower head did not work , the ” bathroom” there is barely enough room to use the toilet and not hit your legs, sink placed on the wall was a likly to cause injury with the tap , again so corroded that there is next to no flow of water on the crubling wall , holding the structure up on the 2nd level, there is a 26” tv and kettle , the double bed is pushed so near to the wall a person ca not get out on one side , and room small The aircon did a good job , it is very small , no microwave, not doors on chipboard cupboards , its is the most basic room , where the plastic tiles move on the concrete floor , room had a glass sliding door where it was hard to close , would not line up with the frame. Entertainment is was good , but not when its the same thing 7 days a week , and the staff FAIL TO reduce the sound after 10pm EVERY NIGHT , regardless of anyone there or not , but make sure the glass door rattled on the room from the high base for 6 hours and only turned it off after 12 midnight, Theres is no built in pool on the property , but relies on beach tide to fill the front area for swiming , and low tide **** smells bad if you go walk near it i the morning , several ppl had skin rashes from swiming in the ” Ocean ” and i would never risk going in , unless you want a medical bill from water born contaminates NEVER EVER book this place for more than a 2 night stay , Pricing of food was high , and also were the drinks , but both ware of good quality , would i go back ? yes and no 1 night maybe cos of the enetertainment , and i could put up what the many , many short coming of a high priced place with low , low qaulity, for every other aspect of the property

Das Frühstück ist nicht luxuriös, schmeckt aber gut. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich. Die Rezeption beantwortet Telefonanrufe nur langsam. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob die Ausstattung mit dem Zimmerpreis zusammenhängt. Wir checkten um Mitternacht ein. Das Zimmer war sehr muffig und die Lichter waren schwach. Der Lärm der Baustelle am Tag machte es schwierig, gut zu schlafen. Nachdem wir es an der Rezeption gemeldet hatten, bot die Rezeption automatisch an, unsere Zimmerkategorie zu verbessern und uns in ein weniger lautes Zimmer zu verlegen. Da der Lärm höher ist, unterscheidet sich das gesamte Zimmer sehr vom ursprünglichen Zimmer. Der muffige Teil ist in Ordnung und die Lichter sind heller. Wir hatten zwei Tage lang weder WLAN noch Fernsehempfang, und die Klimaanlage tropfte. Wir haben bereits mehrmals einen Techniker gerufen. Auch an der Rezeption konnten wir uns nicht helfen lassen, aber man sagte uns lediglich, dass es keinen Empfang gäbe. Das war sehr ärgerlich, da wir den bezahlten Komfort und Internetzugang nicht nutzen konnten. Ich hoffe, dass diese Bewertung dazu beiträgt, dass das Hotel künftig besser auf die Anliegen seiner Kunden eingeht.

Das WLAN ist extrem langsam. Ich habe schon mehrmals angerufen, warum es so langsam ist, da ich arbeite. Ich habe zwar eine andere Verbindung bekommen, aber die ist leider auch viel zu langsam! Es gibt zwar eine Klimaanlage, aber die kühlt einfach nicht, egal wie man sie einstellt!

I had a good stay at Grand Regal Hotel. The hotel is a decent place to stay, especially if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful and relaxing. The pool area was actually one of the highlights… clean, spacious, and great for unwinding after a long day. However, the location is a bit inconvenient since it’s quite far from malls, convenience stores and other establishments. The rooms were also a little old and could use some renovation or upgrades. Overall, it’s a good hotel with nice amenities and friendly atmosphere, but not the best option if you prefer modern rooms and easy access to shopping or city attractions.

It was an amazing stay in Dusit Thani. Their breakfast have good variety everyday. If you request for bacon they will make one for you. The staff are very accomodating and i like how they greet the guests all the time. The spa is amazing very relaxing and the gym is clean and open 24/7. Pool is nice. We got the nice view from the 5th floor. Everyone is super mabait and amazing from the guards to reception, to staff and housekeeping. Will recommend this hotel to my friends who will visit Davao

If you are early before 2pm they won't allow you to enter the hotel. we tried to enter 3 times because we arrived early but they are strict to follow their check in time. good location because it is near the mall and other places to visit. they need to improve their customer service. My kids are excited for the swimming pool because they see it on the post of the hotel that they have it but when we ask for where the pool is to go for swimming they say it's not available and said under maintenance. We don't know if they don't like us to use it because we saw the pool and it's ok. They are disappointed. Check in again probably not? maybe if they improve their service. Need to maintain also the facilities and amenities.

Wir reservierten die Hochzeitssuite, da wir den Jacuzzi nutzen können, aber bei der Eincheckung war der Jacuzzi nicht einmal gereinigt und nicht bereit für die Verwendung. Das Zimmer war jedoch so geräumig, es kann 4 Personen bewohnen.
