4-Sterne-Hotels in Großraum Reykjavik, Island

Die Lage des Hotels ist akzeptabel, nur eine Viertelstunde zu Fuß von der Rainbow Street entfernt. Wir hatten für drei Tage ein Familienzimmer gebucht und der Innenbereich war recht groß. Das Einchecken an der Rezeption dauerte lange und gab mir die Zimmernummer 444. Ich fragte den Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, ob ich die Nummer ändern könne, und er sagte ohne nachzudenken, keine Option. Er sagte, dass die Zimmer belegt seien. Ich war sehr wütend und zeigte ihm Booking/Ctrip und fragte ihn, welche Zimmer auf der Plattform verkauft würden? Dann sagte er, komm in einer Stunde wieder. Sehr unzufrieden mit diesem Service. Das Frühstück war nicht schlecht, aber es waren zu viele Gäste da. Es gab Gruppen europäischer und amerikanischer Senioren und der Ort war voller Menschen.

Die Lage ist fantastisch, direkt an der Bushaltestelle 13, was sie ideal für Tages- und Mehrtagesausflüge macht; das Hotel ist sauber und ordentlich, mit einem Fitnessraum sowie Innen- und Außen-Thermalbädern zur Entspannung; das Frühstück ist ordentlich; gegenüber befindet sich ein authentisches isländisches Restaurant (siehe Bild).

Very friendly reception, good variety of food in breakfast. What I enjoy most is the room, good view and size especially when you travel long distances and have a complementary parking spot right in front of the hotel. Strongly recommend.

We started our travel to Iceland by driving around Iceland in a campervan, so we were hoping for a relaxing hotel stay in Reykjavik at the end of the trip when we pre-booked. We were not disappointed by the Eyja Guldsmeden. The location was only a few blocks away from downtown where there were tons of shopping and dining options, and the hotel itself was beautiful. In the lobby, we grabbed (included) coffee in the mornings and a reasonably-priced drink for happy hour. The service at the front desk was friendly and cordial. The room itself had a nice view of the mountains and was warm and cozy. It was a great stay and we would definitely go back to this hotel again if we are ever back in Iceland! Our only difficulty, understanding this is mostly outside of the hotel's control, is that some of the sidewalks on the walk to downtown were extremely icy and slippery after a day or so of wintry mix that froze over. We had to be extremely careful making our way down to Laugavegur, which had much safer sidewalks. There were even a few buses and cars that couldn't make their way up or down the icy, hilly streets and had to work their way around. So if you are going in the Winter, be cautious and walk slowly!

Das Hotel liegt unweit des Stadtzentrums von Reykjavík, im Winter in etwa 30 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Es ist sauber und komfortabel, und für Tages- oder Zweitagesausflüge werden direkt am Hotel ein Abhol- und Bringservice angeboten – sehr praktisch. Auch Flughafen-Shuttlebusse halten am Hotel. Angesichts der Preise in Reykjavík ist das Hotel preislich durchaus angemessen.

Zunächst einmal ist die Lage erstklassig. Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum der Stadt. Direkt vor dem Hotel gibt es viele Essensstraßen und Einkaufsstraßen. Zur Kirche und zur Rainbow Street sind es nur fünf bis acht Minuten. Auch zum Einkaufen ist es sehr praktisch, da die Bushaltestelle Nr. 1 ist. Natürlich sind die Zimmer nicht mit manchen Hoteleinrichtungen in Hongkong und auf dem Festland zu vergleichen, aber sie haben einfache Betten und sind komfortabel, aber die Badezimmereinrichtungen sind relativ alt und die Möbel relativ einfach. Was die Hygiene angeht, setzen sie sich auch für Umweltschutz ein, daher ist die Reinigung durchschnittlich. Es war Heiligabend, als ich eincheckte. Ich traf den Schalterspezialisten und er war nicht sehr positiv, also habe ich sie später nicht um etwas gebeten!

I loved this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! One of the outstanding features is that they give you a cell phone to use during your stay. The phone already has helpful apps installed for taxis, restaurants, etc. We are from the US so did not have international cell service so having this phone with us was helpful, especially for using maps. Reykjavik is a walkable city, and the hotel is located on the most popular street, so it has easy access to everything. The staff was very helpful and there is also a bar/restaurant onsite with amazing cocktails. There is an included breakfast buffet which featured hot and cold items. We had a room on the 4th floor that included access to large patio. We loved this feature as we could wake up and go outside to check the weather and enjoy the views of the mountains and water in the distance. The hotel was also extremely clean. Another nice touch was that they knew we were celebrating our wedding anniversary so when we entered our room, we found a bottle of wine, chocolate and romantic decorations!

Overall, we were very happy with our stay. The dishwasher made it easy to cook our own meals, which was a big plus given the high cost of dining out. The underfloor heating kept everything cozy, including the bathroom. The blackout curtains were excellent, and the location was ideal for a walk around town. We would happily stay again

Гарний готель. Дуже стильний екстер'єр. Готель дуже зручно розташований на шляху з аеропорту Keflavik до Рейк'явіку. Ми зупинялися в день заїзду в Ісландію та в два останні дні після подорожі по всьому острову перед поверненням додому. Гарний сніданок. Дуже важливо, що є свій ресторан, якій працює з 18:00 до 22:00, бо в Ісландії знайти поїсти після 17:00 це челендж ще той... Безкоштовний паркінг. Поруч (метрів 500 пішки) є супермаркет. Також поруч з готелем зупинка автобуса Аеропорт-Рейк'явік (50 метрів) для тих хто не орендує автомобіль. Дуже рекомендую, якщо під час бронювання Вас влаштує ціна на цей готель! З мінусів вода в крані пахне сіркою, але це ж Ісландія - країна геотермальних джерел!)) P.S. в готелі для відвідувачів є безкоштовно купальня з геотермальною теплою водою + сауна. Працюють до 22:00.
