Der frühe Bahnhof ist etwa 22 Gehminuten entfernt, der Weg ist größtenteils eben. Da Nebensaison war, bekamen wir überraschend schnell ein Zimmer. Die meisten Hotels in Europa haben keinen Wasserkocher, dieses Hotel aber schon – ein Pluspunkt! Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Auch das Frühstück war reichhaltig und zufriedenstellend.

I stayed at Apukka Resort and it was truly unforgettable. Everything was perfect, from the spotless cleanliness to the peaceful location near the airport. The service was exceptional; they even picked us up by car from the reception and drove us directly to our room, which made everything feel so warm and personal despite the -30°C weather. Sipping hot chocolate in the freezing Arctic air felt surreal, and our private sauna session was incredibly relaxing, the perfect way to end a snowy day. But the most magical moment? Watching the Northern Lights dance right in front of our room. So vivid, so clear, so unreal. It was honestly one of the best experiences of our lives. A dream I will never forget.

We stayed at Pyhalinna and overall found the apartment itself to be decent. The facilities inside the unit were quite complete and convenient. However, the cleanliness was disappointing — the bed sheets were not clean when we arrived. The funny (and slightly frustrating) part was that after we reported it, someone came to do a light cleaning of the room (even though we were previously told mid-stay cleaning required an extra fee), but the sheets still weren’t changed. The property is ski-in/ski-out and located next to the “family slope,” but there are many areas that really need improvement. First of all, for beginners without a car, it takes around 30 minutes to walk down to the base area to rent equipment(experienced can use the shop on the mountain), and the path is quite unsafe. Honestly, this alone almost made me give a one-star review. Secondly, the so-called family slope wasn’t fully open, and the upper section was surprisingly steep — definitely not what we expected for a family-friendly run. Returning the rental equipment was also inconvenient; you must ski all the way to the bottom because the shop on the mountain doesn’t accept returns. After returning our equipment, we were very lucky that the ski patrol officer Markus kindly offered to take us back up the hotel. We really appreciated his help — without him, it would have been another long and difficult walk. There are simply many practical issues that should be improved. I truly hope the resort can learn from more established ski destinations to create a safer and more beginner-friendly experience. The positive interactions with the staff were the main reason we didn’t give this place a one-star rating — they truly made a difference despite the other issues. Northern Lights Village in Saariselkä is an absolutely beautiful resort with an atmosphere that truly lives up to its name. During our stay, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights every day and almost every night, without needing to go outside for aurora hunting at all. Some nights, the aurora was incredibly strong, with vivid green and even red colors clearly visible. Seeing red aurora was especially rare and felt truly magical. One of the most unforgettable experiences was being able to lie comfortably in bed and watch the Northern Lights through the glass roof, right from the room. It was simply breathtaking and deeply impressive. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, with warm smiles that make guests feel well taken care of. The room is comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with heated floors, which is very nice in extreme winter conditions. On the first night, the room felt quite cold due to a power outage, so we had to sleep wearing warm clothes. On the second night, the temperature was much better and comfortable. Considering that the outside temperature dropped to around -40°C, the room may feel slightly cool at times, but overall it was still comfortable enough to sleep well. Bathroom amenities are mostly complete; however, toothbrushes and razors are not provided, which would be a nice improvement for a resort of this level. Other amenities are well prepared. Overall, Northern Lights Village offers an extraordinary and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being able to see the Northern Lights so clearly and frequently, right from your bed, makes this place truly special. Highly recommended for anyone who dreams of experiencing the Northern Lights in the most comfortable and unforgettable way.

Auch die Ausstattung des Hotels ist recht vollständig. Die Lobby ist geräumig und hell und bietet einen komfortablen Sitzbereich. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr freundlich, checkt schnell ein und versorgt uns mit lokalen Reiseinformationen, sodass wir unsere Reiseroute klarer planen können. Das Zimmer, in dem wir wohnten, war sauber und komfortabel, mit moderner Einrichtung und sehr weichen Betten. Das Zimmer ist mit kostenfreiem WLAN, einer Minibar und einer Kaffeemaschine ausgestattet. Auch die Badezimmerausstattung ist hochwertig und die Warmwasserversorgung ausreichend. Insgesamt schneidet das Hotel hinsichtlich Service, Ausstattung und Lage gut ab und ist eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunftswahl.

Bad management during check in. I book an Apartment for 2 nights for this stay but I got the room for 1 night each. Staff told me I have to change room tomorrow and check out at 12PM. So that mean first night I stay and tomorrow check out 12PM and wait for a new room. Also, the apartment is very far from reception. Luckily, I have a car. Imagine if I don't have a car, I have to carry big luggage from the apartment to reception to check out and wait for new room later and move my luggage to new room again, how was it? Moreover, when I check out at 12PM staff told me the room will ready for check in around 2 hours. Then came back to check in again for second at 3PM another staff told me the room is not ready yet and policy for the Apartment check in time is 6PM. ***!!! I said I need the room now because this is unacceptable. Then staff told me the room is ready and give me the key card. So, for this situation I waste the time for half day to pack my luggage, move a lot of luggage to my car with a lot of snow, check out, go to reception for check out, wait the new room, wait, wait, wait, and come back to check in and got very bad answer that she told the room is not ready, and go to check in again, move my luggage to new apartment with a lot of snow, and take a rest. VERY BAD!!!!!

It was an experience out of the world during our stay here. We arrived early wanting to drop our bags but they allowed us to check in early anyway as our room was ready. The cabin itself was clean and spacious enough for 2 people. The bathroom floor was heated which was nice. We got to even see the northern lights from our bed even though it only lasted for less than a minute. One thing to note is cabins are located quite near to one another and with the glass panels, you don't get total privacy. Make sure to request for a cabin off the stretch of main road to have more privacy. We had breakfast and dinner here. Options were quite limited but understandable given the location. All dishes were labelled clearly, and we had no issues as vegetarians. We even saw some neighbourhood squirrels enjoying their breakfast. The place is very modern and managed commercially as a business, with everything extra requiring extra charges (you may even pay for staff to pick up your bags from your cabin to the main reception, which is a 2-5 min walk affair). Despite this, we think it's still worth trying out for a night to have something that's different.

Awesome service, the front counter guy is really nice and patient to help us in any quires. The room is clean with nice sea view. Feeling quite well to see the sky stars when lying down on the bed in the night and the morning sky is super beautiful. Plus, the hotel price includes free tickets for experience 365, we enjoyed a lot there. .

Die Umgebung ist komfortabel und die Zimmer sind sauber. Es gibt Supermärkte und Restaurants in der Nähe. Es gibt jedoch ein paar Unannehmlichkeiten. - Das Zimmer ist sehr weit vom Restaurant, wo das Frühstück serviert wird. - Sie müssen Ihre Gepäcke in den zweiten Stockraum selbst transportieren, da es keinen Aufzug gibt, was ungünstig ist, wenn Sie große/schwere Gepäck haben. - Über dem Bett ist eine Seitenlampe. Es ist ziemlich groß und kann nicht bewegt werden. Sie werden sicherlich Ihren Kopf schlagen, wenn Sie aufstehen.. Auch gibt es keine Helligkeitsanpassung.   Andererseits gibt es keine Lampe auf dem Desktop.  Ich hoffe, das Hotel kann das verbessern.

Ich habe im Sommer ein Hotel in Rovaniemi gebucht. Das Hotel heißt Scandic Rovaniemi City. Der Preis pro Nacht mit Frühstück für drei Personen betrug mehr als 30.000 Rubel. Ich hoffte, dass die Grenzen von St. Petersburg bis Finnland offen sein würden. Doch im November 2024 wurden sie endgültig geschlossen. Ich habe versucht, zumindest einen Teil des für das Hotel gezahlten Geldes zurückzuerhalten. Da der Tarif jedoch nicht erstattungsfähig war, wurde jeder Antrag, selbst eine 50-prozentige Rückerstattung, abgelehnt. Schon in diesem Moment wurde mir klar, wie unkundenorientiert das Hotel war. Wie habe ich sie ausgewählt? In Bezug auf Bewertung, Lage und Preis war es der günstigste Preis aller anderen Optionen. Im Dorf Santa Claus kostete eine Übernachtung mehr als 100.000 Rubel. Die Fahrt von unserem Hotel zum Dorf des Weihnachtsmanns dauert 10 Minuten. Daher fiel die Wahl auf sie. Wir kamen gegen 11 Uhr morgens im Hotel an. Der Check-in erfolgte ab 16:00 Uhr. Allerdings wird bei der Buchung darauf hingewiesen, dass nach 15 Uhr. Das Hotel bewarb seinen schnellen Check-in-Service. Natürlich waren wir nicht um 11 Uhr eingecheckt. Nicht einfach so, sondern gegen Aufpreis. Sie sagten uns, wir sollten warten und dass ihr Hotel voll sei. Wir machten einen Spaziergang und machten regelmäßig Halt im Hotel. Wir wurden nicht um 13 oder 14 Uhr eingecheckt. Obwohl wir das Hotel um 12 Uhr verließen und einige Leute bereits selektiv eingecheckt wurden. Daraufhin bekamen wir nach 15 Uhr endlich die Zimmerschlüssel. Dann wuchs meine Unzufriedenheit mit dem Hotel nur noch. Für den Betrag, den ich für dieses Hotel bezahlt habe, bekam ich keinen Wasserkocher im Zimmer, Tee, Kaffee, Zucker, Tassen, Hausschuhe, Bademäntel, zu öffnende Fenster im Zimmer und einfaches Mineralwasser. Ich fragte an der Rezeption nach dem Wasserkocher – man sagte mir, dass es in der Nähe der Rezeption einen Automaten mit heißem Wasser gäbe und man dort vorbeikommen und Einwegbecher benutzen könne, die neben diesem Automaten stehen. Und dann stellen Sie sich vor. Ich kann 2 Gläser Wasser gleichzeitig tragen. Damit wir zu dritt Tee trinken können, muss ich zweimal vom 4. Stock zur Rezeption hinunter, um Wasser zu holen. Und Sie müssen auch einen warmen Pullover oder eine warme Jacke anziehen, da es dort kalt ist. Und da mein Mann ein wenig krank war, rannte ich ununterbrochen für dieses heiße Wasser. Wir wollten den Raum lüften, aber die Fenster hatten keine Griffe und ließen sich überhaupt nicht öffnen. Im Allgemeinen ist dies das schlechteste Hotel, in dem ich in letzter Zeit gewesen bin.
