Beautiful exterior, but the interior feels very dated. The whole place would benefit greatly from some investment. Economy rooms resemble dorms: creaky floors (charming at first, but disruptive at night with people using the shared toilets), sagging mattresses, a broken bedside light, only one chair, no decorations, and no ceiling light. I realize we booked an economy room, but this felt extremely basic. On the first night, a party went on until 1:30 am. Guests should be informed in advance, and events shouldn’t run so late if the property also functions as accommodation. It’s also a shame that tours of the abbey come at an extra fee; this could easily be included for guests. Overall, the place feels more focused on making money than investing in guest experience. Lots of potential, but currently disappointing.

Good stay near Valkenberg station, but tight for early conference goers The hotel is conveniently located near Valkenberg station. My room was nice and clean. I especially liked the leather chair – it's soft but still firm enough to sit and work for long periods, which was perfect for me. Breakfast was good, even though the variety was somewhat limited. However, breakfast starts at 7:00 AM. Since I had a conference at MECC (about a 14-minute walk plus a 20-minute train ride), I had to rush every morning to get there on time. If you have an early start, just be aware of that. Overall, a pleasant stay if your schedule allows a bit more flexibility in the morning.

Ziemlich teuer für so ein Hotelzimmer. Es war ein kleines Zimmer mit Bad und Toilette. Alles im Badezimmer ist schief. Der Handtuchhalter hing aus den Schrauben. Die Dusche war dreckig, die Kalkwände könnten etwas Farbe gebrauchen. Die Kopfstütze des Bettes ist kaputt und das Leder blätterte ab. Die Tagesdecke auf dem Bett war schmuddelig. Die Türklinke an der Haustür war kaputt. Beim Vorbeigehen muss man aufpassen, dass die Kleidung nicht beschädigt wird. Sehr teuer für so ein Zimmer. Das Frühstück war teuer, aber es war lecker. Das Personal ist nett. Vorteil: Sie befinden sich in der Nähe des Zentrums von Maastricht

I choose this hotel because it is just 5 min walk from train station. And also very close to shopping and dining area. Check in is all automatic and is very easy. Room is big and clean the location makes it one of the best hotel for traveller

Nice modern Hotel, nice room and confortable bed. In the morning an essential continental breakfast was proposed. Very cordial staff. Just ine small suggestion: one small bottle of water in the room would have been appreciated.

Great location; walking distance to the centre. Friendly staff and appreciate the welcome snacks and lounge area with free coffee and tea. Definitely will stay again when on business trip again in the city.
