3-Sterne-Hotels in Präfektur Niigata, Japan

My wife and I have had a 3-night stay at this Toyoko Inn Joetsu Myok Eli Nishi Gucci Room #1306 from 13 to 16 October 2025. The Hotel is just a 1-minute walk away from the Joetsumyoko Station. Similar to other Toyoko Inns, the modest reception is on the First Floor and it has limited parking lots on besides the Hotel, and also a bigger open car park about a 2-minute walk away. So we are grateful and thankful that we were given a lot for just ¥300 per day for 3 days at the open car park very nearby. The Hotel staff are polite and helpful, and are not quite able to communicate in simple English. As the Hotel is located quite away from the city centre of this very small city, so there is no shopping centre nearby except a few eateries are near the Station and within comfortable walking distance. The hotel room is the standard typical type whereby it is small but very clean. The bed and pillows are comfortable for our liking, and the small bathroom - again the typical Japanese type - is clean and its has strong water pressure for a comfortable shower. Like all Toyoko Inns, the Hotel provides daily breakfast of simple home cook styles; varieties are limited, but it is very comforting that gives a nice start for the day. Also, it offers free coffee and tea via machines 24 hours daily. At SGD S$97 per night with breakfast, we find it value for money and we will choose to stay here if we travel to Joetsu or Myoko again.

Das Badezimmer ist sehr groß, es ist sehr gut, aber es ist sehr bedauerlich, dass die Entfernung von der Wäsche sehr weit ist, so dass der Boden zu Bichobicho geworden ist. Außerdem sind die Bequemlichkeitseinrichtungen nicht gut, aber andere Einrichtungen sind zufriedenstellend.

작은 더블침대를 두 사람이 같이 사용하였고, 시설이 깔끔하였습니다. 대욕장은 이름에 어울리지 않게 소욕장이었습니다만, 시설은 깨끗하고 좋았습니다. 호텔자체가 조용하고 깔끔하였습니다. 조식도 화려하진 않았지만 비교적 만족하였습니다.

Dieses Boutique-Hotel ist eine absolute Freude. Mit insgesamt nur fünf Zimmern bietet es eine intime, ryokan ‑Stilerfahrung, wo jeder Gast einen gewissen, aufmerksamen Service erhält. Das Personal präsentiert den Geist der japanischen omotenashiquiet, ehrlich, und immer einen Schritt vor Ihren Bedürfnissen. Da das Hotel so wenige Gäste beherbergt, ist die Atmosphäre ruhig und unverschämt. Sie fühlen sich nie wie nur eine andere Buchung, stattdessen fühlt es sich, als ob das gesamte Team gewidmet ist, Ihren Aufenthalt außergewöhnlich zu machen. Der Abendessenskurs ist ein Highlight, das man einfach nicht verpassen kann. Es ist schön gefertigt, saisonal und klar mit großer Pflege zubereitet. Nur sicher, mindestens zwei Tage im Voraus zu buchen, da die Küche Zutaten speziell für jeden Gast bereitet. Zu meiner Überraschung überschreitet die hier insgesamt auch einige bekannte japanische Luxusmarken wie Hoshinoya. Es ist persönlicher, ruhiger und schließlich erinnerebarer. Ein perfekter Aufenthalt für alle, die eine echte Gastfreundschaft suchen und einen friedlichen Rückzug.

Es ist ziemlich ein Spaziergang vom Bahnhof, aber das Hotel bietet einen Shuttle nach Echigo ‑Yuzawa, obwohl die Frequenz etwas begrenzt ist. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt wirklich nett. Meine einzige kleine Beschwerde ist, dass sie nur zwei kleine Flaschen Wasser für einen zweiten ‑ Nachtaufenthalt lieferten.

Erstens. Das Gebäude ist erstaunlich. Die Dekoration ist wunderschön, die Zimmer fühlen sich völlig japanisch und es gibt so viele gefüllte Tiere, Kunstwerke und dekorative Dinge überall im Haus. Das öffentliche Bad war auch sehr sauber und er sah großartig aus. Leider Das Wasser war zu heiß für mich, um zu baden. In meinem Zimmer traf ich 3 Ladybugs, ich habe sie gerade aufgehoben und aus dem Fenster geworfen. Die Rezeption wird von einer alten, aber freundlichen Dame verwaltet, die nicht ein einziges Wort Englisch spricht, aber ich konnte noch mit ihr kommunizieren und sie hat sogar meine Schuhe getrocknet. Die Toiletten sind sehr alt und ich empfehle, das WC auf dem Feuerboden zu nehmen, weil sie moderner sind. Das Haus selbst ist nahe den Wäldern. Der Eincheck war reibungslos. Das Zimmer mit Handtüchern, einem Yukata, einem Kühlschrank, TV und Klimaanlage

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage. Gegenüber gibt es eine Autovermietung und einen großen Supermarkt. Abends gibt es in der Nähe nicht viele Restaurants. Es gibt ein rauchiges Yakitori-Restaurant und ein westliches Hamburger-Restaurant. Das Frühstück ist einfach und man kann essen, was man will. An der Rezeption arbeitet ein taiwanesisches Mädchen, das Chinesisch spricht. Es liegt ganz in der Nähe des Busbahnhofs. Man kann auf das Dach klettern, um die Sterne zu beobachten.

The hotel's outlook/renovation is to a point it felt like travel back in the early 80's or in a move set. Even all the details as big as the sofa and as detailed as the mat to put the vase in the room. So if you are looking at an old style japanese place there it is. We booked two rooms for a family of 6 and we love the space-  there is a tatami room and also a living room accross which is perfect to handle skiing items. There are 3 onsens and we tried all. One is big and the other two is small (if you prefer some privacy). Breakfast is nice. If you a looking at a tranditional japanese experience - this is the place. It's a small walking distance (less than 5 mins) to the ski lift at the Akakura Onsen ski area. 

A truly enjoyable stay with beautiful views and a wonderful atmosphere I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The view from the room was amazing, and the Japanese-style room added a special touch that made the experience feel authentic and relaxing. I also loved the library and the overall cultural atmosphere of the hotel -- it created a calm and inspiring environment. The movie experience offered by the hotel was a great addition and made the stay even more memorable. Breakfast was also excellent: very nice, beautifully presented, and delicious. Overall, it was delightful stay, and I would love to come back again.

Nice hotel withe rooms of various sizes. For me it was spacious enough. Bed was comfortable, would have liked one more cushion. Room was clean an I liked that i could open the window. It was quite hot in the room because the heater was turned on. Even if i turned it off hot air came out. Room was clean and had everything i needed. You can also get things at the front desk. Breakfast was buffetstyle and really very good with a lot of choises, both Japanese, local and western. Location was very convenient near the train station. About max a 5 minutes walk. Near the hotel there are a lot of places to eat or have a drink. At the station is a shopping mall.
