3-Sterne-Hotels in Apulien, Italien

Unfortunately this was a stay of two halves, and I wish I'd heeded other people's low reviews about the host's attitude before booking. The place itself was lovely. A cute, clean little room that seemed authentic and had some nice finishing touches. The area around was beautiful and it's a great location. I was excited to see the room description, stating a spa, billiards room and other amenities that would account for the higher cost of this place. I saw the warning that the booking was non-refundable but took a punt.... I was wrong for doing this. Soon after booking, I received the first of many messages stating the jacuzzi in the photo was an extra 209 euros, which was apparently written in very small print, the large fridge in the photos was just for show and alongside this were given a set of house rules including not being allowed to eat in the room! I didn't like the attitude from the messages and I tried to cancel, over 2 weeks before our stay, but was refused. Cut to the day of stay I was sent another set of rules, this time warning us that if we change the temperature of the air conditioner or any other settings then ”the consequences will be on us”, it also told us to re-read the rules carefully and reminded us we couldn't eat or drink in the room. Self-check in was simple, although on the website it states there's a front desk and luggage storage on site... There isn't. It was 39 degrees outside and 27 inside. I messaged saying that in the heat setting, 24 degrees, was too warm and asked if we could lower the temperature, she refused, I asked for a fan, she pretty much accused me of lying, saying it WASN'T too warm, and after a long and draining conversation she ”allowed” us to change it to 18 degrees. After this, I tried to be civil and she responded with some suggestions of places to eat and visit. We ”respected the people who work for you” as she demanded in the messages. The apartment was equipped with basics but for the price, would have expected extras like small toiletries or glasses for water. It all went well until the last day on check out, I suggested some things to make the stay better such as a friendlier manner, trash cans in the room and more toiletries, as this was quite an expensive stay. I suggested she revisit the description of the hotel and that she didn't send ”the rules.” She didn't like this. In all honesty, the woman, I believe, is a narcissist, and can't take responsibility for her mistakes. She wouldn't accept there were areas for improvement and when it came to asking for help that linked to her apartment, she took it as a criticism on her part and went on the attack. She sent a final message which was copied from one previously sent, so this suggests she's had similar issues before. I had to block her because she wouldn't stop messaging me! I have all the messages saved and complained to trip.com who have been extremely helpful. If you want to stay in a nice place, this is lovely, but there are similar ones out there with nicer hosts. Don't give this rude lady business. I never did get to play a game of billiards.

Bei der Buchung auf Trip.com wurde weder darauf hingewiesen noch klar darauf hingewiesen, dass der Check-in-Prozess ungewöhnlich ist. Er war kompliziert und nicht rechtzeitig und es wurden klare Anweisungen zum Einchecken gegeben. Das Fehlen rechtzeitiger, klarer Anweisungen war für uns sehr unangenehm. Wir kamen früher an, weil es nur eine (Nacht-)Fährüberfahrt nach Bari pro Tag gab. Also mussten wir das Hotel suchen, um zumindest unser Gepäck abzustellen. Aber der Hoteleingang (oder das Tor?) war geschlossen oder wir konnten es einfach nicht finden. In unserer Verzweiflung baten wir an diesem Morgen in der strömenden Kälte einen Passanten um Hilfe. ENDLICH, nach einem langen, langen Gespräch im Regen, bei dem wir den Gastgeber kontaktierten, durften wir endlich einchecken. Diese Frustrationen hätten vermieden werden können, wenn die Anweisungen früher gegeben oder die Gäste früher vor der ungewöhnlichen Art des Eincheckens gewarnt worden wären. Wir erhielten keine Anweisungen, bis wir es schafften, den Gastgeber über eine freundliche italienische Seele zu kontaktieren, die Englisch sprechen konnte, um uns zu helfen. Einige Passanten, die wir ansprachen, konnten kein Englisch oder ignorierten uns, weil es stark regnete.

What an amazing experience to stay in a Trullo at this property! My husband and I booked our stay in mid-Nov., which is the beginning of the off-season in Puglia. When we arrived, the concierge/manager, Ugo, graciously upgraded us to a loft/superior accommodation. It was fantastic! He personally walked us to our charming, Trullo, which was not only impeccably clean, but also completely modernized despite being an historic, antiquated structure. We arrived on a chilly day to find that the marble floors are heated and very toasty! The queen bed was comfy, and the updated bathroom was enormous, with a huge shower. The little dwelling even had a very well-equipped, modern kitchen if one were to stay for a longer period. Finally, I left my small jewelry box in bathroom when we checked out. We took a 20 minute taxi ride to a train station, and apparently, during the ride Ugo tried to contact the driver to inform us that they'd found the box. Ultimately, when I discovered my oversight at the next hotel and contacted Ugo, he kindly express-shipped my jewelry back to my home in the U.S. I can't praise this property or its management highly enough. Don't hesitate to stay here!

Der Gastgeber gab mir seine WhatsApp Nummer und war sehr hilfreich und freundlich während meines Aufenthalts, der nur eine Nacht war. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und modern und hatte auch einen Balkon , die Lage war auch ein wenig aus dem Stadtzentrum von Bari . Ich habe es gekämpft, und die Codes für die Außentür und die Innentüren wurden irritierend, aber wieder antwortete der Gastgeber mir sofort und hilfte mir, er gab mir auch Informationen über lokale Restaurants und Bars sowie Richtungen zum Ferry Port und lokale Taxis, ich dachte, er war ausgezeichnet und ging aus seinem Weg, um mir zu helfen und sicher zu haben, dass ich einen tollen Aufenthalt hatte! Danke!!! Ich verstehe, dass die Türcodes für Sicherheitszwecke sind und war nicht viel es war nur ein kleiner Quibble. Ich würde sicher noch einmal hier bleiben 💯 wenn ich in Bari war und eine Unterkunft benötigt! An Amazing Palazzo situated inside the ZTL. We loved the architecture and staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked two suites for our family of four but were put on two different floors. One suite on 2nd floor is as beautiful as shown in the picture. Another suite is located on the top floor which feels like a maid room in the old days. It was ok but because it’s on the top floor the temperature in the room was higher despite the Air conditioning. Nonetheless we enjoyed the stay. There are also many restaurants, souvenir shops, cafes and gelateria right outside and along the streets where is hotel is located. Nice vibes but not noisy. Dinner at their restaurant (La Bocca) was alright . Beautiful pasta but second course dishes were average. and there were many mosquitoes around the area of our table and we all got bitten badly.

Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend, sehr nahe dem Strand und in der Nähe von Fußgängern des Stadtzentrums, was es einfach und angenehm zu erkunden das Gebiet. Es gibt auch eine gute Verfügbarkeit von Parkplätze, die sehr bequem ist. Ich hatte jedoch keine gute Erfahrung in der Nacht. Der Rauchdetektor wurde direkt über dem Bett gestellt, mit einem grünen LED-Licht alle wenigen Sekunden. Das machte es extrem schwierig zu ruhen. Um schlafen zu können, musste ich die Matrix aus dem Schlafzimmer und in den Korridor in der Nähe des Badezimmers platzieren, um von der Licht weg zu kommen, was eindeutig in einer Hotelumgebung nicht akzeptabel ist. Dies sollte entweder durch Anpassung der Lage oder durch Verringerung der Auswirkungen des Lichts überprüft werden. Insgesamt, obwohl die Lage ein starker Punkt ist, hat diese Frage meinen Aufenthalt erheblich beeinflusst.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful trullo! The location is excellent, right next to a landmark church. We loved hearing the historic church bells every hour—it wasn't loud or bothersome at all, just very charming. It is also an easy 10-minute walk to the main tourist area. For those driving, we managed to find a safe and free parking spot just a 5-minute walk from the property. The host was wonderful and very thoughtful, leaving us a sweet welcome gift that included a bottle of white wine, bottled water, biscuits, and a local map. The only downsides were that the sofa was a bit saggy and the bed in the loft was too soft. Also, since there is no air conditioning, it got very hot at night during the heatwave. Overall, it’s a beautiful place with great hospitality, but something to keep in mind if you visit during peak summer!

Excellent location, 20 minutes walk from train station and back door gives direct access to the brilliant centro storico. Very pleasant stay at the Arryvo Hotel. Very modern interior, modern room design, with comfortable bed and clean rooms. A nice seating area on the first floor and a sizable coffee shop/restaurant. Breakfast is a la carte from the menu and was a refreshing change from the norm of buffet breakfasts. The onsite washing and drying machines were a massive bonus. Extremely warm welcome at reception on check-in, extremely helpful and similar upon checkout. Id absolutely stay again if I return to Lecce in future.

This is one of those big old hotels that was once probably quite fancy but it now very faded and tired (but as such also cheap and totally acceptable for a short stay). The location is great. In the middle of downtown Taranto. I was there Sat night and it was buzzing. But my room (328) looked out onto the internal courtyard which was a little miserable but at least not noisy. As to facilities…they work. Shower was hot but slow. Large air con unit installed in the room was ugly but worked. Single bed small and hard but quite adequate. About 30min walk from the station but a beautiful walk along the harbour.

This hotel was the highlight of our trip. Despite arriving 30 mins early to check in, a staff member was immediately sent to help us and arrived within 10 minutes to get us settled. The room was immaculately kept and had really fresh crisp sheets. We loved wandering the grounds in the morning, and the trees were bursting with citrus, figs, grapes and olives. Despite a small language barrier, we felt so welcome and the food was incredible. The vending machines were also a nice touch for fresh cold water. We couldn’t recommend this place enough for a more secluded, peaceful and serene stay near Ostuni.
