Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir vergessen unsere Zahnpasta und Zahnbürste und wir fragten an der Front-Desk und erhielten ein Zahnkit auch aus Tee und Zucker lief. Schwimmbad war schön.

A Wonderful Stay at the Lowfield Inn – A Hidden Gem on the English-Welsh Border We had a fantastic stay at the Lowfield Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Our family room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with plenty of room to relax, including a sofa. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep in a quiet and peaceful setting. The inn features a lovely common area and a roof terrace with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The scenery is stunning and perfect for enjoying long walks along the border between England and Wales. The pub itself is a true highlight—offering a great selection of traditional cask ales and a very welcoming beer garden where you can enjoy the evening sun. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff are genuinely helpful and accommodating. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as pencils and paper provided for children. As for the food: it was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The menu offers a wonderful mix of traditional English pub fare and Indian dishes, all prepared with creativity and care. The starters were delicious, the mains were generous and satisfying, and the desserts were absolutely indulgent. The children’s menu was also well thought out and very appealing. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide selection and very generous portions—no one left hungry! There’s also plenty of parking space, which made everything even easier. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return the next time we’re in the area.

I received good service from the reception when checking in, ideally wanted a walk-in shower but no room was available. Matthew however managed to find us the perfect room after a lot of juggling so was well pleased. Fortunately, the new room was in a cooler part of the hotel than the original one which was full on sun and since there is no air conditioning would have roasted even with a desk fan which is provided in every room. Breakfast was disappointing since the serving plates are cold and although the selection was reasonable for those who prefer the standard English breakfast there is no facility to order poached eggs, vegetarian sausages, porridge etc, you had to have what was presented. The continental side was ok although limited at times. Found the general service in the hotel was very good and friendly when speaking to the receptionist and staff members. Room service was ok but felt the laminated flooring in the room needs a good clean looking at the state of the bottom of my slippers when packing them away.

The Feathers is well located in the centre of Ludlow and is an old building that is full of charm. However, this also means that it is a bit of a rabbit warren inside, making it challenging to find your way around the long, branching corridors - a definite nightmare in event of a fire. The carpark was full when we arrived, despite it being much larger than I expected, but there was a council carpark behind the hotel and only a short walk away, which was free from 6pm to 8am, which is very convenient. Our bed was large, clean and comfortable and the room was well resourced: tea and coffee making facilities with a wide range of teas and milks; complimentary canned water in the mini fridge; iron and ironing board; plenty of sockets including USB, at the bedside and a variety of products in the bathroom, though no toothpaste which was the one thing we'd forgotten to pack! One of the spoons was dirty, hence only 4 stars for cleanliness. The guest wifi was strong and easy to access. We didn't have time to use the reception areas downstairs, but they looked beautifully presented and were full of character, offering a very attractive space to have a drink or meal. Staff at reception were pleasant and professional.

We booked for the Shrewsbury School speech day and leavers ball so the whole town was fully booked. Thankfully there was a suite available at my favourite local hotel. We needed a room for 3 and the hotel staff were super helpful in accommodating our needs. It’s family owned and the culture of care is pervasive. It’s a hotel where the staff like to say yes. Not to mention the character of the hotel itself. It’s a mixture of 12th, 15th and 17th century architecture forming an elaborate maze of rooms covering the block. The Matthews family have truly created a 5 star hotel experience. I was even offered a glass of sherry by the night watchman when I checked in on once at 1am. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Das ist ein schöner Ort, wir blieben im „Wohnung“, das mehr als ein annehmbares Gebäude war und es hatte zwei Zimmer, von denen wir ein besetzten. Das Zimmer war gut, wir genossen Frühstück im Essensraum und das Frühstücksmenü hatte auch eine Menge Wahl, die war großartig. Es gab Optionen für ein komplettes englisches Frühstück, aber auch Optionen für Getreide und Obst usw. Wir haben uns entschieden, ein Abendessen im Hotel zu versuchen und wir waren sehr glücklich mit unserer Wahl. Das Essen war ausgezeichnete Qualität und sehr genießbar. Das Hotel ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang ins Zentrum, sehr nahe dem Schloss, das einen Besuch wert ist und Sie können das Schloss von der Straße sehen, die Sie von dem Hotel zur Stadt gehen.

I needed a hotel near the Telford International Centre and this was the closest based on cost.  The connected restaurant was really good and there were shops close by such as Asda Express, Burger King, Greggs and Subway at the petrol station next door.  The hotel provided complimentary tea and coffee and clean towels.  The only toiletries in the bathroom was shower cream/shampoo and hand wash.  If you need hair conditioner, bring your own.  Also, there were no tissues provided.  But the room itself was clean with extra pillows provided if needed.  The aircon was also a godsend in this current heatwave!

Das Zimmer verfügt über einen Kühlschrank, Eisen, Eisenböden, Kühlflächter, Haartrockner. Das Spa hatte ein Eisbad Sauna heißen Pool und ein paar andere Spa-Behandlungen Ich habe vergessen lol wirklich gut zu bleiben Das Frühstück ist ein kontinentales Buffet plus Englisch Frühstück.

Insgesamt war kein großer Aufenthalt, krank halten es kurz und süß und nehmen positive und negative anstatt ins Detail gehen Positives - Alle Mitarbeiter freundlich und hilfsbereit, schöne Lage, wenn Sie ein Deluxe-Zimmer buchen können, so erhalten Sie ein erstes Stockzimmer mit Außentisch und Stühlen und Aussicht auf den Golfplatz. Behandlungs- und Spa-Einrichtungen waren gut, obwohl es keine jaqoozi. Komfortable Bett! Negative - Organisation, ich hatte Spa-Tag und Mittagessen, es wurde nicht erläutert, wo das Mittagessen war oder was in das Einbezogen wurde ich alle Fragen zu stellen. Ich wurde nicht über die 15-Pfund-Grenze für das Mittagessen gesprochen, so dass ich überging und sie erwarteten, dass ich den Unterschied bezahle, aber sie stimmten zu, dass es unfair war. Zimmerreinigung, Bad war nicht groß, Nagelklippen auf dem Boden und 100’s kleine Haare rund um das Bad nachdem jemand rasierte! Zimmer war sehr warm und es war nicht einmal so heiß draußen, nehmen Sie einen Fan in heißes Wetter! Die Nahrungsmittelpreise sind sehr hoch für das, was Sie erhalten, nichts besonderes! Es dauerte 30 Minuten, um meinen Drink zu essen und 65 Minuten, um meinen Burger und Chips zu bekommen, scheinbar waren die Mitarbeiter krank und es gab einen neuen Barmann, der Drink verzögert hatte. Ich würde nicht zurück gehen für den Preis, den Sie zahlen müssen und was Sie erhalten

My stay was wonderful to the point I actually booked another 3 nites but due to an institution in London I had to cancel within an hr of purchase!Trip chafed me a 119.00 penily for cancellation!Nit even another hr had gone by I rebooked a hotel in London?Im very upset I didn’t get refunded that 119 charge since I immediately booked a new reservation!
