GGastnutzerThe pension is easy to find, and staff are very helpful. Beds are comfortable; coffee and tea are available; everything is clean. The only difficulty might be is there is only one bathroom for all the guests. We were here in low season, so didn't have much difficulty, but I can imagine problems in the high season. The pension is in the old part of San Sebastian, so visiting the most picturesque parts is easy, as is visiting nearby villages. Local food is excellent. I highly recommend this pension; excellent value for your money. It's the best base for exploring this part of the Basque Country.

GGastnutzerStay: 2 nights in February 2026 Review: 1. Very cold room and bathroom. The room and especially the bathroom were extremely cold. When the air conditioner is turned on for heating, it blows directly onto the heads of people sleeping in the bed, making it uncomfortable and difficult to breathe. 2. Very noisy. The room faces a busy street. People were talking and making noise outside throughout the night. The sound insulation is very poor. 3. Extremely small room. The room is clearly designed for one person (this is even indicated on the hotel’s floor plan), but we were accommodated there as two guests. There is almost no space to place luggage or personal belongings. The bathroom also has no shelves at all. 4. Uncomfortable toilet placement. The toilet is positioned in such a way that it can only be used diagonally, which I consider completely unacceptable. 5. Missing desk shown in photos. The room photos showed a writing desk, but it was not actually present. We had to spend time requesting and arranging for a desk to be brought to the room, as it was necessary for work. 6. Parking information is misleading. The hotel description states that parking is available, but in reality it is about a 15-minute walk away. This is very inconvenient when traveling with luggage. We only discovered this upon arrival. This information was not communicated in advance. There is also nowhere near the hotel to stop even for 5 minutes to unload luggage. Additionally, there is no reception desk at the hotel, so it is difficult to quickly ask for assistance.

GGastnutzerGreat hotel and location, clean, provides all the amenities, great service and has a lovely coffee shop at the reception too. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family. One small improvement I would suggest and this is just personal preference, not something that should deter someone from booking, it would be great if there was a fridge in the room so you could keep drinks cool whilst you are spending time there.

GGalina EfimovaI have a great stay! The location is fantastic — just a few steps from the Guggenheim Museum, which made exploring the city super convenient. The room was very cozy, clean, and comfortable — exactly what we were hoping for. However, there's one detail that could be clearer: the hotel advertises ”private parking,” but in reality, it's a public city parking lot located about 450 meters away. It costs €20 per day, and there is no parking directly at the hotel. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to know in advance.

GGastnutzerLiebe meinen Aufenthalt im Hotel Arriaga! Die Lage ist absolut perfekt – im Herzen aller Dinge und super einfach zu gehen überall. Das Zimmer war sauber, modern und das Bett war super komfortable. Das Personal war wirklich wunderschön und gab uns einige tolle Tipps für die lokale Pintxo Bars. Die Vibe ist entspannt und unvorstellbar, was wir geschätzt haben. Kleine Bemerkung für leichte Schlafer: bitte um ein Zimmer weg von der Straße, da es etwas lebendig in der Nacht (aber das ist Teil des Charme von in einer tollen Lage!) erhalten kann. Wifi war auch ein bisschen spitzig. Insgesamt, fantastische Wert für Geld. Wäre sicherlich noch einmal hier für einen versehentlichen Stadturlaub! Perfekt für: Reisende, die einen zentralen Platz ohne den Fancy-Preis-Tag wollen.

PPaul407Ein ganz besonderes Hostel. Mit Einsatz und Liebe zur Arbeit geführt. Vieke Details, die für Reisende wichtig sind, werden berücksichtigt. Zum Beispiel sehr viel Platz für sichere Gepäckaufbewahrung. Genügend Duschen und Toiletten, die permanent sauber gehalten werden. Die große Küche (leider nur Mikrowelle) bietet Platz, exzellent sauber gehalten und als Highlight einen Jura Kaffeeautomat auf hohem Niveau, der jeden Kaffeetrinker erfreut. Rund um die Uhr leckeren Kaffee ohne Extrakosten. Der einzige sehr große Schlafraum bietet durch die Anordnung und verschließbaren geräumigen (!) Betten eine höchst private Atmosphäre. Spiegel, Kopfhörer, Monitor, Licht, Steckdose... Alles da. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt im Colo Colo.

GGastnutzerI stayed one night in a shared mixed dorm. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and spoke English, which made check-in easy. Breakfast was basic but free, with bread, coffee, and juice. The hostel is not in the city center, but there is a bus stop right outside that takes you to the center in about 15 minutes. There is also a kitchen if you want to cook your own food, and lockers for your things. Good choice if you want something affordable and quiet.

GGastnutzerIt was a pretty satisfying stay. Internet is very good and the bed/chair are comfortable. Check in was easily arranged too and there was no issues. Minor negative is that the room is too dark and there is no fridge. - However I guess that is expected with the price. Most annoyingly this is the first ever hotel I have been where they restrict the internet! Even worse they have the cheek to block certain VPN protocols. Pathetic, too need to use a VPN to fully use the internet! Nanny hotel!
