2-Sterne-Hotels in Quebec, Kanada

Good location, close to other services (restaurant, coffeeshop..), close to downtown . Room is large enough, can be cleaner around back door, fresher odor is needed. Staff is ok, some use language more fluently than others. Kitchen/ breakfast is full, relaxing. Parking is safe

The locaction is perfect, right at the heart of old quebec. The hostel offers a complimentary walking tour of the city for guests, that was really interesting. Front desk were very nice and provided us with great recommendations of places to eat. The breakfast and cleanliness of the bathroom could be better. There were several nice shared spaces for the guests to enjoy, coffee maker and vending machine for drinks at extra cost.

Very unique looking decor. Everything looked new and was very clean. Super amenities. I prefer hotels to Air BnB and this had the extras like a stove, fridge, cooking pots and pans, dishes, utensils, kettle, and a N'Espresso machine. There is even a Metro grocery store around the corner and restaurants outside The downsides are that it appears to be in an ”interesting” part of town (I would not be comfortable walking alone as a woman), and stairs, no elevator. It was a challenge to bring up the luggage even to the second level. Otherwise a great place in Quebec City and within walking distance to the train station, which is why I chose it.

Auf der Plus-Seite befindet sich dieses Hostel in einer PRIME-Position. Wir gingen über Old Quebec und liebten es! Die AC arbeitete GREAT. Die Betten waren ziemlich komfortable. Wir waren nicht sehr glücklich darüber, dass wir ein Zimmer durch Trip.com reserviert hatten, das ein eigenes Bad hatte. Als wir ankamen, sagten sie, dass die Buchung das nicht spezifiziert, aber ich zeigte ihnen die tatsächliche Buchung und es DID sagte, wir hatten ein privates Bad. Sie sagten, es sei nichts, was sie dazu tun könnten, und als ich sagte, dass ich, da ich PAID für ein privates Bad habe, zumindest einen Rabatt bekommen sollte, aber sie waren auch nicht bereit, das zu tun. Meine Reisepartnerin sagte, sie hörte andere Leute an einem anderen Tag Checken und sie hatten ein ähnliches Problem mit dem geteilten Bad, also fragen wir uns, ob es ein Badewanne ist und etwas mit dem Hotel wechseln. Wir sagten ihnen auch am ersten Morgen, dass das Licht über dem Tauch in unserem Zimmer ausgebrannt oder gebrochen wurde und sie sagte, sie hätten jemanden, der es ausprüfen würde, wenn sie eintraten. Keiner kam je. Das geteilte Badezimmer war ok, aber es konnte definitiv verbessert werden, indem ein Papiertücherhalter hinzugefügt wurde (es war eine Rolle von Papiertüchern auf der Schale für ein paar Tage, aber letztendlich wurde alles verwendet und es wurde nicht ersetzt, bevor wir verließen.

Once you enter the hotel hallway, you would know right away that it's old. The room was pretty and you would see passers-by from the window. The shower curtain was reasonably clean, not spotless, but acceptable. the hotel was very close to bus stops, Frontenac, and Dufferin terrace, and almost any destination (in Old Quebec) a tourist would love to see. Breakfast at Sagamite was lovely. The only issue I had with service was that the mode of payment for this hotel was supposedly 'Pay at the Hotel,' but my card was charged earlier before the check-in. The thing that confused me was that it was under Hotel Maison du General instead of Louisbourg so I thought I was hacked. Anyway, after some Googling and Trip.com customer service emails, we found out it was under Hotel Louisbourg. Another downside of the service is that there's no active number if u wanna contact the hotel directly. They just have the Sagamite Restaurant on the internet, where recipients there do not know anything at all about the hotel booking once u reach them.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Wir kamen spät an und mussten deshalb außerhalb parken. Das Management war aber sehr hilfsbereit und wir konnten für den Rest unseres Aufenthalts kostenlos parken. Die Lage ist wirklich super, alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Das Hotelzimmer war groß, sauber und komfortabel.

Pros: The rooms are big, clean, comfortable, and have everything you need. The breakfast is quite abundant and varied; it would only need some boiled eggs, cheese, or another source of protein to be perfect. The reception staff are friendly and polite. Cons: The pet fee is ridiculously high ($40, and they also charge taxes on top of that, which makes no sense). Total = $46. It is the highest pet fee I paid during my trip from Montreal to Calgary. For example, in Ontario, Winnipeg, and Saskatchewan, many motels don’t even charge a pet fee. What some other places do is charge a refundable deposit in case of damages, rather than a non-refundable fee for no particular reason. For this reason, I would not return. Noise: You can hear absolutely everything from the adjacent rooms. In fact, a couple was arguing quite loudly and aggressively during my stay, including shouting, which affected my sense of safety. Staff members who were nearby at the time, should be vigilant and intervene in this kind of situation.
