Lage sehr bequem: Stein’s werfen vom Bahnhof und direkt in der Stadtzentrum in der Nähe des Schlosses und einige wirklich schöne Bars. Diese Bar serviert auch gutes Essen und ist ein Angemessener Ort für einen späten Abenddrinken. Beachten Sie jedoch, dass die Fronttür um 10 Uhr geschlossen ist und Sie nur Zugang vom Buzzer in der angrenzenden Bar erhalten können und sie sind ziemlich strikt auf den Zugang der Gäste. Wenn Sie ein Paar sind, stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie für 2 wählen, wenn Sie die Buchung machen. Das Frühstück ist jedoch groß und die Zimmer sind bequem, so dass die Daumen insgesamt hoch sind.

During our recent stay at Rafters Gastropub and Accommodations in the heart of Kilkenny, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The accommodations provided were comfortable and cozy. While the beds were satisfactory rather than luxurious, they offered a decent night's sleep, which is essential for any traveler. The en-suite bathroom, though small, was clean and functional, providing all the necessary amenities. One of the highlights of my stay was the continental breakfast. The selection was ample, featuring a variety of fresh pastries, fruits, cereals, and beverages, all of which were of high quality and well-presented. It was a delightful way to start the day before exploring the beautiful town of Kilkenny. The gastropub itself is a gem. The ambiance is both rustic and refined, offering a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal or a drink. The menu features a diverse range of dishes, all prepared with local ingredients and served with a creative flair. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Located in the heart of Kilkenny, Rafters is perfectly situated for anyone looking to explore the town. Everything is within walking distance, making it convenient to visit local attractions, shops, and cultural sites. Perfect location and rooms were lovely. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the beds were very comfortable. There are definitely some things that could be better. Would let guest know its over bath shower in advance of stay, people have mobility issues and with modern bathrooms assume these things might be accessible but climbing into bath for a shower was not ideal. After a long day driving and touring would be nice to have tv reception in room, it was really bad reception and very few channels to browse. Breakfast ‘hot’ foot was not hot and got even colder with only having cold plates to put the food on to. Toasters are so slow, need to put toast on 10 minutes before rest of food. Iron and table in room would be good. These things wouldn’t put us off staying but they are all things that take away the shine of a nice place.
