That's the end of our stay at this hotel in the executive suite. What we liked: Hotel location; Gorgeous landscapes from the room window; Pool area; Spacious swimming pool; Spacious room; The pool is properly planned; Very cute dogs and cats. They cheered us up.; The staff is very polite and tries to help with everything.; Relaxing massage; There was oatmeal on the breakfast menu, which is rare in the Philippines.; Your requests are being listened to. What didn't you like: A small selection of paid breakfast. There is no buffet and you need to choose from the menu. But you can only choose 1 dish and drink for each one. In other words, don't expect to try even a couple of dishes for prepaid money. Here you can choose only 1 dish for breakfast. The rest is paid. It became clear only on the 3rd day of the stay, as they could not understand how the breakfast system worked. We were charged 390 Philippine pesos for SPAM (or rather, three slices of local ham). It's expensive for this kind and quantity of food. •On the last day, the cost of paying for a fruit plate increased. It was 350 pesos, it became 400. •When ordering tom yam, we asked for additional shrimp (+250 pesos). We were served soup with 7 shrimp halves. We still haven't figured out how many shrimps there would have been without the extra ones we paid for. 🙈We thought they forgot to add additional ones. Then we saw the bill and additional shrimps were deposited. •Few seafood dishes. Considering that you are 50 meters from the sea. There are also few products with vegetables. We suffered because of this. There was no light food. •The leaves in each salad were stale. •Service fees were from everything. We understand when the service fee is for food, but we still don't understand why the fee was for a massage. That is, the fee for the massage + the service FEE for the massage. •There were also fees for filming shark swimming on our phone. We also did not understand why the fee, if the tour itself cost 7,500 pesos + 300 pesos was a service fee (again, we do not understand why it is not included in the total cost of the tour) + 260 pesos for shooting on the phone; I was disappointed that when booking an excursion to swim with sharks for 7,500 pesos, fishing was included, but no one offered it to us. They just took us, we swam and brought it back. They say the tour took 5 hours, but it was two and a half hours. •Hand soap has not been refilled in two days; • The automatic circulation of water in the pool was rarely turned on, so we swam with flies for two days... trying to catch them from there; •The performers were an hour late for the first tour, and 30 minutes late for the second. We don't understand why our time wasn't respected. • One shower wasn't working. There was no water coming out of it; • Often they didn't bring half of the dish. That is, if you ordered a meat plate with grapes, cheese and crackers, be prepared that I may not bring you crackers, but there will be 3 pieces of cheese. That's for 590 pesos. We ordered this plate twice, and two times we didn't get any crackers. The second time we asked and they informed us. Also, when ordering mashed potatoes with chicken, they brought us chicken without mashed potatoes. We asked and were informed. Everything was already cold. They didn't add a banana to the banana pancakes. Unfortunately, curtains are not blackout, for those who cannot sleep without them, bring a sleep mask. I write absolutely all the little things, as I am very careful about the service. I really liked this hotel. In any case, I recommend it wholeheartedly. After all, they communicate politely with you here, there are gorgeous views from a spacious room, and there is a large swimming pool. But I have to write down the little things so that the management can improve the quality of service so that staying at this hotel leaves only positive emotions for absolutely everyone! After all, the hotel is really beautiful!

Ich schreibe diese Bewertung in der Hoffnung, dass sie Reisenden nach Bohol hilfreich ist. 1. Lage: Da das Hotel weit vom Alona Beach entfernt liegt, musste ich für den kostenlosen Massagetransfer zusätzlich 300 Pesos pro Strecke bezahlen. 2. Ausstattung: Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel und hell, ideal zum Schminken. Matratze und Bettwäsche waren angenehm, und die Einzelbetten hatten zwei Kissen, was sehr komfortabel war. 3. Pool: Das Wasser war sauber und wurde regelmäßig gereinigt, sodass man wunderbar schwimmen konnte. In anderen Resorts bin ich nie ins Wasser gegangen. 4. Verpflegung: Das Frühstück war inklusive, einfach, aber sättigend und lecker. Es war auch schön, jederzeit weitere Mahlzeiten bestellen zu können, die ebenfalls sehr gut waren. 5. Service: Die Mitarbeiter waren alle freundlich, und da es sich um eine ruhige Gegend handelt, boten sie einen Hoteltransfer in die nähere Umgebung an und bestellten Tuk-Tuks für weiter entfernte Ziele. Grab war nicht verfügbar. 6. Insgesamt: Ich würde dieses Resort wieder buchen, wenn ich einen ruhigen und entspannten Aufenthalt suche, allerdings war die Entfernung zum Stadtzentrum etwas unpraktisch. Das Resort ist ideal für Wassersport. Ich habe im ICM für 400 Pesos pro Strecke eingekauft, bin aber gerne in der Umgebung herumspaziert und habe mich deshalb am Alona Beach vergnügt. Da das Resort von Bergen umgeben ist, gab es so viele Mücken, dass ich schätzungsweise zehn pro Tag getötet habe. Fragen Sie nach einer elektrischen Mückenspirale, um die Plage zu minimieren. Ich kann dieses Resort wärmstens empfehlen, der größte Nachteil sind jedoch die Mücken.

Die Sraff sind schön. Nach dem Frühstück ließ ich mein Handy auf dem Tisch liegen und das Mädchen gab es mir zurück. Ich bin so dankbar dafür. Das Zimmer war ok, wenn man nicht wählerisch ist. Das Badezimmer ist wirklich klein. Um die Toilette zu benutzen, muss man nach dem Öffnen der Tür in die Dusche gehen und die Tür wieder schließen, um zur Toilette zu gelangen. Ich gehe davon aus, dass nicht alle Badezimmer denen des Zimmers entsprechen, in dem wir übernachtet haben.

It's a mixed bag. The location is excellent, offering a different, good sea every day. For safe swimming, you need to follow the tide schedule. The hotel grounds and plants are very well maintained; they're beautiful and clean. There's a long stretch of beach for strolls. Logistically convenient – there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops selling travel essentials, and a market with fresh produce nearby. A major drawback is the large construction site nearby, which can be heard all day, especially in the bungalows nearby. The rooms and bungalows are in fair condition. However, there are some serious downsides: every other day, it was impossible to shower due to low water pressure; when the pressure was low, the water heater wouldn't turn on; and the water had a strong sewer smell. At breakfast, the restaurant won't offer you salt, pepper, or sauces unless you ask. Drinks include juice from concentrate or coffee. Only after a week did we discover they offer tea for breakfast. The breakfast is very basic, and there's no fruit at all, which is surprising given the price of fruit on the island. There was trash on the beach all week, just a little bit, washed up by the sea. It was cleaned up quickly, as it didn't require much effort. But why is the beach cleaned only once a week? The hotel website advertises a shuttle service, but I advise against it. Personal experience: I sent a text message and email to the hotel on time; our ferry departed at 5:30 PM. We arrived on the island around 7:00 PM. We weren't met. We got there ourselves. A hotel security guard met us at the hotel and gave us our room keys. It immediately became clear that the light switch in the bathroom was causing lightning and could shock us, and the water heater wasn't working. The security guard said, ”Take this up with the management tomorrow; my concern is safety.” Information about room problems is not passed on to the management. So, we spent the first night without hot water or power in the bathroom. After we contacted them, they gave us a working room mid-way through the second day. They didn't apologize for the missed shuttle service, and they didn't offer the stated compensation for our independent transfer. Moreover, I received a welcome email from the hotel after only one day of my stay. The hotel has adequate staff, and the people are positive and friendly. However, management, quality control, and leadership are seriously flawed. The rooms are overloaded with text reminders, rules, and restrictions, many of which would be confusing to a normal person. Or does the hotel manager think only people with dementia stay at their hotel? Reminders and restrictions are completely unnecessary if guests are greeted promptly and the necessary information is provided electronically in their native language.

Es waren traumhafte Flitterwochen!!! Ich habe auf dem ganzen Heimweg geweint. Die Besitzer, Mike und Sarah Tom, waren unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit, wie Familie! Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt!!! Es war wirklich ein wahrgewordener Traum. Der Service war exzellent, es fühlte sich so sehr nach Hause an, so viel schöner als die Rückkehr in mein beengendes Elternhaus. Wir wurden wunderbar gastfreundlich empfangen und hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Das Essen war auch sehr gut, und die Massagen waren sowohl preiswert als auch hervorragend. Ich möchte unbedingt wiederkommen und hier länger bleiben!

Habe eine Villa gemietet und wurde von einem Blitz getroffen, weil der Strom in über 75 % der Steckdosen falsch verkabelt war. (Villa 27?) Das Personal war großartig. Der Ort ist etwas veraltet und muss modernisiert werden. Der Pool ist okay, aber muss renoviert werden. Das Frühstück wurde auf Bestellung zubereitet und war großartig. Der Zimmerservice war ausgezeichnet und die Portionen waren groß. In der Regenzeit kommt anscheinend niemand hierher, und das ist schade.

Das Hotel an sich macht keine schlechte Eindruck auf den ersten Blick. Wir hatte Suite gebucht und ich muss ehrlich sagen, das Zimmer war alles anderes, aber nicht Suite. Die Fenster sind sooo dünn, dass man alles was auf der Straße passiert mitbekommt. Wir dachten erst es muss irgendwo Fenster offen sein, so laut war im Zimmer. Die Nacht war dementsprechend auch unruhig. Wir sind mehrfach wach geworden. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr nett und stets bemüht. Was uns richtig gut gefallen hat ist die rooftop Bar ganz oben. Die Drinks waren lecker und der Ausblick und Atmosphäre sehr schön.

We loved staying in this location. Our room was right on the water, giving some breathtaking views morning and night. Lots of storage space and big bathroom. The hotel has a great diving center that also rents all kinds of snorkeling equipment too until later hours. Pool was clean and there was even a tipsy bar within it. Our only issue was very low water pressure in the shower which made washing long hair ia bit challenging. While you are away from the “mail” street in town, walk us about 8 min and there are few other hotels/ restaurants and activity companies located right next to hotel entrance

Wir hatten einen rundum erholsamen und schönen Aufenthalt. Das Personal war freundlich, die Unterkunft sauber und gepflegt, und die Atmosphäre war perfekt für eine Auszeit. Das Essen war köstlich und der Pool fantastisch. Absolut empfehlenswert, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at the Blue Orchid, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a  view of the ocean over the treetops. It felt peaceful and private — exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for. The staff were exceptional — so friendly, kind, and accommodating. They helped me plan a surprise proposal for my fiancé, offering suggestions for the perfect location and ultimately arranging for us to use their private rooftop. They also coordinated a romantic dinner there just for us, ensuring we had complete privacy. It was an unforgettable evening, and I’m so grateful for the care they put into making it so special. The resort arranged our transportation both from our previous hotel in Mactan and later to Cebu Pier 1, which made travel stress-free. We also booked canyoneering and an introductory scuba dive through them. The instructors were fantastic — very patient and reassuring, especially when I became nervous underwater and couldn’t finish the dive. While the resort is a bit removed from the busier Panagsama Beach area, that was a huge plus for us. We wanted somewhere quiet, scenic, and romantic, and Blue Orchid delivered exactly that. The restaurant doesn’t have a massive menu, but the food was consistently delicious, portions were perfect, and prices were very fair. Even though there wasn’t a kettle in the room, hot water, coffee and tea was readily available and it was never an inconvenience since everything was close by. We also appreciated the mosquito net over the bed — it added to the tropical charm, though we didn’t need it because insects were never an issue. We even spotted a tiny gecko in our room upon arrival, but it was harmless and quickly disappeared — just part of the island’s character! Overall, the Blue Orchid was everything we hoped for: quiet, romantic, and welcoming. The staff helped make one of the most meaningful moments of our lives absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend it, especially to LGBTQ+ travelers looking for a peaceful and genuinely inclusive place to stay in Moalboal. When we do a return trip to the area, we will stay here again.
