The breakfast was perfect. Workers were polite. BUT the room was moldy, smelled bad, disgusting. The picture can't show how disgusting it was.. it almost looks clean on my pictures sorry. It was really worst I asked for a better room that was actually better but still not good enough. Respect yourself and your health choose another hotel.

My recent stay at Hotel Kadoman left me thoroughly impressed. The generously sized rooms provided ample space to unwind and relax, adding an extra level of comfort to my stay. What truly stood out, however, were the culinary offerings. Both dinner and breakfast were a culinary delight, with each dish crafted to perfection and bursting with flavor. The service was equally commendable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant and memorable experience. If you're looking for a hotel that offers spacious accommodations, delicious dining options, and excellent service, look no further than Hotel Kadoman.

Location is very good, walking distance to the shopping streets. We had everything we need from the amenities area. Breakfast is very good range, and most important YUMMY! The staffs at the breakfast area were very friendly and helpful too, they even helped my son (5yr old) with his drink he wants 🥰 We loved the bath, face and hand towels that are used in the hotel. They feel so soft to the skin!

Pros- spacious villa, quality bedding and large private indoor onsen( see picture 13). We also like the public outdoor onsen in the sister ryokan nearby. There is a little cafe there you can buy drinks and coffee, run by an adorable old couple, very nice and polite. We spent a lot of time there just chilling and listening to the music. Cons- Living room: we were only able to book the western style villa as it’s a little last minute trip. The living room is basic, bland, with sofa, instead or tatami. Our room 512 is next to the car park. Parking lot in front of your main door is not very pleasant. Food : just soso. Nothing extraordinary. See picture. No horse sashimi, the presentation of the steak is really ordinary - disappointing. Perhaps because we had such an amazing meals in the previous ryokan this became a massive letdown. Dinner served in a large public dining room, lack of the privacy and intimacy ther ryokan provide ( we had private dining room in another ryokan 野之花during this trip). I got to see other couples but also feeling like we are being watched. Service- served by young people, not much attentiveness you would expect in traditional ryokan, lack of the warmth and ritual. Reception- 3 star at best. A basic room with uncomfortable chair while you wait to be checked in. We arrived around 2:30pm, and was told that check in can only start at 3pm, and please wait. So we sat at the hard chair and forced to watch the promotional video until 3pm. Conclusion - 3.5 star ryokan, not the most exciting or exclusive villa we have stayed. Maybe it would get better once the trees grow thicker and staff better trained. The sister Ryokan nearby has better feel of environment and feels more established.

Die Lage ist etwas abgelegen. Vom JR-Bahnhof Aso aus fährt man mit dem Bus zum Bahnhof Uchimaki (ca. 20 Minuten) und geht dann noch 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Hotel liegt inmitten einer sehr ruhigen, ländlichen Gegend. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr komfortabel. Im Zentrum befindet sich ein kleiner Innenhof, der zum Entspannen einlädt. Ein familiengeführtes Onsen (Thermalbad) steht zur Verfügung. Die Küche des Hotels besteht hauptsächlich aus lokalen Gerichten aus Kumamoto, die mir sehr gut geschmeckt haben. Der Service war exzellent. Nur ein nepalesischer Mitarbeiter sprach Englisch, aber seine herzliche und zuvorkommende Art hat mich sehr beeindruckt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Der Aufenthalt war sehr komfortabel und alles war großartig. Das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel für einen Alleinreisenden wie mich und ich hatte eine gute Ruhe. Es war einfach mit Zugtrassen vor dem Hotel zu erreichen. Ich würde bei Besuch von Kumamoto wieder bleiben!

Es ist 200 Meter vom Bahnhof Aso entfernt und es ist sehr bequem, den Bus zum Vulkan zu nehmen. Zum Essen muss man ins Restaurant am Bahnhof oder ins nahegelegene Lawson gehen. In der Lobby im Erdgeschoss gibt es kostenlosen Kaffee und heißes Wasser, was sehr benutzerfreundlich ist. Die Management- und Servicestandards von Marriott sind online verfügbar, wenn Sie mit JR reisen.

Es liegt gleich links vom Bahnhof Kumamoto. Das Schild ist schon von weitem zu sehen. Ich persönlich rate davon ab, die Überführung zu benutzen; im Sommer ist es dort unglaublich heiß und es gibt keinen Schatten. Man kann auch links vom Bahnhofsgebäude Kumamoto über die Straße gehen, was ebenfalls eine gute Option ist. Das Zimmer war nicht sehr groß und es gab keinen Kleiderschrank. Das Frühstück war nicht sehr abwechslungsreich, aber das Brathähnchen und die Pommes waren in Ordnung.

Es war die beeindruckendste Unterkunft, in dieser Reise für mich zu ruhen und zu leben. Der Preis ist vernünftig. Personal/ Besitzer ist sehr hilfreich und freundlich. Sie hat mich über ihren eigenen Platz vorgestellt, auch wenn ich recht spät angekommen bin. Ihre Dekoration und Anlage ist super. Die Küche hat eine Menge Dinge, die der Reisende benötigen wird. Es fühlt sich wie zu Hause zu leben, aber im Hostel. Lage ist gut, in der Nähe der Zug. Auch, Gemeinsames Zimmer, Dach oben, das Badezimmer sind schön zu Ruhe. Das private Zimmer (Schlafzimmer) ist nicht zu klein - zu groß, aber es war sehr gemütlich zu bleiben und Ihre Sachen zu verwalten. Ich kann ein wenig morgens in ihm strecken. Liebe es! hoch empfohlen für Mädchen und andere Reisende 💗

Very beautiful place, and the room was truly excellent: spacious, bright, warm, with impeccable bedding and cleanliness. The bathroom is large and includes a bathtub, and the room is very well equipped (electric kettle, small kitchen, large refrigerator). It was also possible to arrange horseback riding and get onsen tickets, which is a real plus. However, for backpackers, this accommodation is not ideal at all. It is very far from everything: – FamilyMart: about a 27-minute walk – Bus stop: about a 21-minute walk – Mount Aso Museum: around 1h15 total (including 20 minutes on foot) – Aso Station: about a 1h15 walk A small anecdote: we first climbed up to the accommodation carrying our 10 kg backpacks, only to see on the door that check-in is actually done at the bottom. It would be helpful to indicate this more clearly downstairs, or at least make it easier to notice for foreign travelers, as we missed the information 😅 Finally, for those planning to walk to the Aso Museum or hiking areas, the path indicated at the end of the residential area near the accommodation does not exist.
