LLiam and JennyAttended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. Cchachacoolcat⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Komfortable Aufenthalt und große Lage Ich blieb im Holiday Inn Taunton und hatte eine sehr bequeme Erfahrung. Das Hotel ist einfach zu erreichen, nur von der M5, wodurch es eine bequeme Basis für die Erforschung von Somerset oder die Unterbrechung während einer längeren Reise. Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig, mit allem, was ich ein komfortables Bett, eine gute Dusche und ein Desk-Raum benötigt. Wi-Fi funktionierte gut, und ich schätze die Tee-/Kaffeestation. Obwohl die Dekoration in einigen Bereichen etwas datiert ist, war alles gut gepflegt. Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und das Restaurant hatte auch eine schöne entspannte Atmosphäre am Abend.

GGastnutzerWir reservierten 2 Nächte für ein entspannendes Spa-Wochenende. Basierend auf der Tatsache, dass es sich um ein Spa-Hotel handelt. Wir planen, für das gesamte Wochenende im Hotel zu bleiben.  Als wir ankamen, wurde uns gesagt, es gab kein Restaurant oder Bar, das wir nur für Veranstaltungen verwenden können.  Wir hatten dann ein Mittagessen im Spa-Café. Das Essen war ok. Der Service war schrecklich.  Wir gingen dann ins Zimmer, als wir inchecken konnten. Der Reiniger war noch da. Sehr entschuldigend sehr freundlich und wunderschön. Das Zimmer war absolut wunderschön. Großes Schlafzimmer Badezimmer und Wohnzimmer.  Wir gingen raus und fanden ein Pub fürs Essen. Als wir zurückkehrten, um in dem Zimmer zu entspannen, fanden wir die Party direkt unter uns und in voller Schwung. Sehr laut und laut und das Rauchen war direkt außerhalb unseres Fensters. Wir riefen Rezeption, aber sie wurden vollständig reserviert. Ich freue mich, es alles um Mitternacht zu sagen.  Wir gingen zum Frühstück bei 9.30. Nicht viel übrig und das gesamte Frühstück war kalt. Als wir es fragten, wir wurden gerade gesagt“gut es ist seit 7” es hatte gerade auf der Seite in Silber-Taschen für 2.5 Stunden sitzen, keine Heizung oder Option zum Wiederheizen. Es war nicht essend.  Wir haben das Frühstück überschritten, das wir am zweiten Tag bezahlt haben.  Wir dachten, wir würden etwas Zeit im Spa verbringen. Ha! Nun ist der Pool klein, kein Ort, um nur ein paar Kunststoffstühle zu entspannen, keine Spa überhaupt. Es hatte eine sehr kleine Sauna und Dampfraum. Der Jacuzzi funktionierte nicht, es war nur ein Pool von wolkenfreiem Wasser mit wenigen Blasen.  Es scheint, als wäre es gewöhnt und könnte ein wunderbarer Ort zu sein, aber er wurde übernommen und verloren seine einzige. So schämlich wie das Gebäude und die Boden sind wunderbar.  Ich muss die Reinigungspersonal hinzufügen und die Lady auf der Rezeption waren wunderbar, willkommen und freundlich.

GGastnutzerAmazing value for money; simple selections of food, compact no frills chalets: could do with a bit of attention to detail with deep cleaning; decent bedding and towels, fantastic and varied entertainment generally throughout the day and late into the evening; most acts are really good. Nice to be able to set up to work remotely in the ballroom during the day and take in the fun that holiday makers are having. The Blue Coats are an engaging team. Drink prices are OK for a setting like this. We are 53 and 58 and on the younger scale of most holiday makers but whatever age, this adult only holiday park delivers quality for money hands down. Bus travels from the road outside the site to Weston Super Mare hourly during the day; beach is just a walk away down the site entrance. Taxi's are affordable if a comfi trip into town is wanted. Can imagine how amazing this establishment will be in summer (and they don't seem to hike the prices to eye watering levels during the warmer months). The range of themed weekday stays (4 days Mon-Fri) and weekend (Fri-Mon) are varied. We need to be in the WSM area for a couple of months - staying at various hotels / establishments, but now we have found Sand Bay, we have chosen to book here for several weeks back to back. For that reason, we have brought our own bedding with us, to personalise our chalet and make it more homely for our extended stay. Reception team are generally welcoming and efficient and Jade the holiday booking team member is ever so helpful. Well done Sand Bay!

QQingshuixichenDas Hotel ist etwas alt, aber sehr charakteristisch, die Rezeption ist ein Griechen, sehr enthusiastisch und erlebt sich anders. Das Zimmer hat keine Klimaanlage, es ist alle Heizungen, nach dem Aufenthalt geöffnet, so dass es sich gerade ein bisschen kalt fühlt, als wir ins Zimmer gingen. Wir haben ältere Menschen. Der Kellner hat einen weiteren Heizungsgerät hinzugefügt, und die Nacht ist heiß. Darüber hinaus ist das Hotel ein Leuchtkörper, das hinter dem Aufzug ist, und es gibt auch einige Treppen, wenn es ein Radschlitten gibt, ist es immer noch nicht sehr bequem.

GGastnutzerCentral location helps to overcome the cramped feeling staying in the annexe. The car was parked at the other end of town and drop off was difficult to say the least but it is what it is. I had no reason whatsoever to check out the main building reception, breakfast area perhaps a bar and lounge area too because nothing pointed me there! So generally, it was a room in a loft space built to an ”average” measure. I never like shower cubicles where I tend to bang elbows and worry about breaking something when I drop the soap. Breakfast price was horrendous so no inclination to walk in on the hop to check it out for the 2 nights stayed. I felt detached, cramped and in a bed-sit like accommodation. It is what it is.
