4-Sterne-Hotels in Zentraluganda, Uganda

With my wife we had a great trip around this beautiful country Uganda. So after Kidepo we were really exhausted. We had about 6 hours to catch our flight back home so our very helpful guide recommended this hotel. The room was spacious comfortable and had a great view of the city. Downside: One: The restaurant doesn't serve lunch so we had to order from Cafe Javas and the driver guide delivered Two: For day use I was charged the full amount and given a printed receipt that showed the amount half day. Attempts to get back my bucks proved to be futile as the receptionist (name Isaac as per his tag and the receipt) who had been very helpful and friendly had turned into a super crook. This guy took advantage of our situation. I paid on check in and as we hurried to put the bags on the car when our guide (Gideon) came to pick us I remembered and asked my wife to get the receipt from the desk. A terrible experience at the tail end of what had been higher to a beautiful trip.

Das Hotel ist nicht groß, aber alle Aspekte sind vorhanden. Sauber, sicher und komfortabel. Besonders das Frühstück ist besonders gut. Die Sicherheit von Kampala ist nicht besonders beruhigend (eigentlich sollte es nicht so viele Gewehre sehen), so dass die Wangs nur mit Freunden ausgehen und die Wangshui Hui Fu-Familie begleiten. Das übliche Abendessen ist auch im Hotelrestaurant gegessen, im Allgemeinen ist es nicht teuer. Der Geschmack ist immer noch gut. Wieviel RMB könnte man mit dem chinesischen Rochenfisch mit Reis zerkleinern, der größer ist als das Gesicht?

There were many other hotels we could have chosen to stay in Kampala but having had such a great experience 4 months ago, we decided to return to the Protea Hotel by Marriott in Kampala. Joan and Charlotte were very good at checking us in quickly. Thank you so much as we were very tired having travelled nearly 20 hours by plane! Maurice, Noah and Rehema were excellent with their customer service by ensuring my mother and I had everything needed for a nice evening. Our room did not have a mini fridge so Maurice suggested he will go and check for a spare one. Maurice brought us one, given the fact that the hotel was almost full. Noah, thank you for all your help in making the tasks I needed completing easier and quick. Maurice, Noah and Rehema thank you for your great hospitality. You were all so kind. Jasper, Sampson and Issac looked after us when we were having diner in our room and made sure we had what we needed by being so quick with their service. They had to run to the kitchen back and forth and were very efficient although they were all very busy that night. In the morning, the breakfast buffet was great with a big variety of food choices. The chef on the night duty made some Poha upon our request, thank you for doing that for us. The Poha was delicious and so were the Indian pakoras. Chef Godfrey made beautiful omelettes as we wanted and went beyond his time to fulfil my mother's need with the chillies. Derrick made us teas the way we liked and the teas were perfect. Cissy and Aisha thank you for your kindness and service. Sharon it was lovely to see you and wish you all the best. The buffet was a mixture of continental and cooked breakfast with a couple of ”chef's speciality of the day” which were delicious! Well worth the money. Samuel, thank you for your speedy checkout and your advice. Thank you all again for your kindness and making another stay wonderful. We will miss you all but promise to return again in the near future. Each one of you have contributed to another great stay and made it even more special, you were all very friendly, courteous and very accommodating. The quality of each of you was very impressive. With regards to the hotel, it was great to see some improvements to the room. The bed was very comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud :) The room was very clean, spacious and the new decor was superb. However the shower gel needs to be changed back to the old style one as the new gel is so runny like water and not soapy at all! Also, the WiFi was a bit slow this time and got cut a few times. Still giving 5 out of 5 stars as each member of the staff were amazing and professional with their duties. Can not wait to see the refurbished version of the hotel in months to come :)

Aber Achtung: Bei Buchung „Gemütliches Studio Apartement“ erhält man die unterste Zimmerkategorie (Nr. 20) in Nähe der lauten Wirtschaftsräume, in denen Betrieb bis in die späte Nacht herrscht. Besser sind die „Standard Suite“, die vor Ort 50$ kostet und großzügigen Platz anbietet. Wichtig: Reisestecker mitnehmen.

Payment slow... The technology they use doesn't always work. Everything at front desk is slow. You feel that you are working for them. They charge 12 usd for a trip to the airport, which is absurd. Albeit the food and the room, i would not come here again

Ich möchte unbedingt zurück nach Uganda. Der Koch dieses Restaurants ist der beste, den ich in Afrika gegessen habe. Empfehlen

Wir waren zum Mittagessen und Schwimmen dort. Einer von uns war Veganer. Auf der Speisekarte gab es kaum etwas für Veganer. Was uns überraschte, war, dass der diensthabende Manager keine Ahnung davon hatte, Veganer zu sein (mehr Training). Das Essen war von mittelmäßiger Qualität und kam nach einer langen Wartezeit lauwarm. Die Kellnerin Doreen hat uns gut behandelt. Der Poolbereich war sauber. Die Rezeptionistin im Spa schien nicht interessiert zu sein. Besuchen Sie Kabira, wenn Sie einen schönen Tag verbringen möchten.

I don’t remember all names but the housekeeping team was super clean. Grace at the restaurant was just amazing.Definitely coming back !!!!

Koki hotel is in central Kampala. It's a prime location being so close to many banks, the market and the taxi buses to get to other parts of Uganda. So location is 10/10. Customer service is also first class. I was served by Juliet who reserved me a room as I was checking in at night. The room itself was excellent - tea and coffee check, water bottles check , AC and big screen Tv check, fridge check, iron and ironing board check. The only thing missing was a safety deposit box for my valuables. But the hotel itself was secure. The next morning I was too tired to go to breakfast so for 10k ($3) I got breakfast in bed. And a good buffet it was too. All in all a wonderful relaxing time in a suppers value for money hotel in central Kampala. I will mow def stay here in all my future trips to Uganda. Every staff member I met was courteous and welcoming. Congrats Koki hotel.... you have every right to be cocky !!!! :)

Exzellenter Entebbe-Halt über dem Hotel. Wir haben hier 2 Nächte vor und 1 Nacht post safari geblieben. Es ist sauber, sicher und am See vor. Wir genossen, am See zu gehen, durch den Pool zu lesen und fanden die Lage perfekt für Ruhe und Ruhe. Das Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend und der Flughafentransfer war rechtzeitig und professionell. Lake Front Restaurant im Besitz des Hotels ist gut und erschwinglich.

Die Lage war die beste. Sie können alles bekommen, was Sie für eine Geschäftsreise in der Victoria Mall, Lebensmittel, Supermarkt, Geldwechsel, es gibt sogar ein Kino und ein schönes LC Waikiki Store auf Ebene 2 des Malls. Die Hoteleinrichtungen waren gut, die Hauspflege kann jedoch verbessert werden, die ersten beiden Nächte waren es ziemlich viele Anzüge auf dem Tisch und den Rüstchen. Ein Morgen nach unserer Rückkehr war das Zimmer teu, aber die Rüstungsstuhlen fehlten haha, sie vergessen, die Handtücher auch zu ersetzen. Frühstück war ok, für ein paar Tage passable. Insgesamt ein gutes Hotel, werde ich noch dort für die Lage und Preis bleiben

We had a great stay at K Hotels. Our family was here to attend a work conference. The overall hotel was very comfortable, very clean, and all staff personnel that I encountered were very friendly. I thought the bed and pillows were very comfortable and I slept well every night. The shower was also excellent with great water pressure. The conference rooms were very nice and did a great job meeting our needs. Our group loved having our dinners at the rooftop bar every evening. I had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Als ich spät abends im Hotel ankam, war mein erster Eindruck nicht so positiv: Bauprovisorien am Flur, eine Bar mit ”sozialistischem” Flair. Mit zunehmender Verweildauer wurde meine Einschätzung allerdings immer positiver: sehr große, elegant eingerichtete Zimmer, sehr großer Balkon mit Blick auf den Viktoria-See, tadellose Qualität und Service im Restaurant, sehr schöner und gepflegter Außenbereich mit Pool, Cafeteria/Restaurant. Traumhaft ein Abendspaziergang am Seeufer. Der Flughafen ist zwar in unmittelbarer Nähe, es gibt aber so gut wie keine Lärmbelästigung. Das Stadtzentrum ist mit dem Auto/Taxi in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Resumé. eine sehr empfehlenswerte Oase: geeignet sowohl für geschäftliche Aufenthalte als auch um einfach ein paar Tage auszuspannen and das Ambiente zu genießen.

Als ich auf dem Büro gefragt habe, um diese Artikel, wurde mir gesagt, dass 'Haushalte geschlossen. Es war 7:00 Uhr. Meine Empfehlung, dass jemand uns Milch aus der Küche holen wurde ignoriert. Wir hatten ein Essen im Restaurant ein Abend und Zimmerservice nächstes. Beide Male Wir mussten eine Stunde auf den Service warten. Meine Frau hatte Tee mit Milch gebeten. Was angekommen war, war ein kleiner Teebeutel voller warmer Milch und kein Teebeutel. Ich hatte für uns beide einen Flughafenschiff von 15 Dollar ausgehandelt, Anstatt der $15 jede angekündigt. Auf der checkout gab es ein anderes Mitarbeiter, der versuchte, die ganze $30 zu belasten. Neben der Tatsache, dass die meisten Hotels in Entebbe einen kostenlosen Shuttle bieten, hinterließ die Episode einen schlimmen Geschmack. Schließlich zeigte mir der Empfänger zuerst den Betrag, der als Gesamtrechnung zu zahlen ist, und war unwillig, mir eine offizielle Rechnung zu geben. Als er es schließlich mir gab, war die offizielle Rechnung $30 weniger, als er versucht hatte, mich zu zahlen! Ich werde nicht wieder da bleiben.
