Wir gingen Schneeboarden in Zao, aber alle Unterkünfte wurden vollständig reserviert. So entschieden wir uns, in Yamagata zu bleiben. Es ist toll, dass wir in Yamagata geblieben sind, da es mehr Restaurants und Orte gibt, um umzuhängen. Es dauert nur etwa 30 Minuten, um nach Zao zu fahren. Das Hotel ist sehr gut, geräumig, sauber. Mein größter Fehler bei dieser Reise nach Yamagata ist, dieses Hotel zu buchen. Es ist ein gutes Hotel, aber es ist in der Mitte von niemandem. Sie möchten um die Stadt Yamagata, die auch die Stadt Yamagata genannt wird, nur so können Sie zu berühmten Touristen-Spots. Allerdings ist dies 4 Stunden von all diesen entfernt. Ich musste ein anderes Hotel reservieren, so dass ich 1 Tag in der Stadt bleiben kann, wenn ich diese Orte besuchen wollte und die Reisezeit hat mich nur völlig erschöpft. Es dauerte wie 1 Tag, um zu einem Ort zu gehen und 1 Tag, um zurückzugehen. Es war so schrecklich, ich weinte. Dieser Ort ist am Flughafen Shonai nicht Yamagata Flughafen geschlossen, so dass ich auch einen weiteren Flug von Shonai buchen musste. Ich habe so viel Geld für den Transport vergeudet. Es war so eine schreckliche Erfahrung. Das Hotel ist jedoch unglaublich schön mit intelligentem Design in allem. Ich liebe den Onsen sehr. Wenn es nur ein Urlaub/Ruhe für entspannende Zwecke oder sich von dem menschlichen Wort isolieren, ist es die beste Wahl für Sie. Da es in der Mitte des endlosen Reisfelds ist, gibt es nichts zu essen, außer für sehr hohen Preis zu essen im Hotel Restaurant. Und das Essen war nur ok. Die Schönheit dieses Hotels war wie eine Falle. Wie ich war blind von seiner Schönheit und konnte nicht alle anderen Nachteile sehen.

A wonderful Onsen hotel in the heart of Atsumi Onsen. The facilities and staff were excellent. Onsen was clean and hot. Rooms very spacious. Plenty of car parking available and the staff will direct you where to park.

Wir hatten einen erstaunlichen ryokan Aufenthalt in Takamiya mit seiner reichen Geschichte und Kultur. Unser Zimmer war auf der höchsten Etage, was uns schöne Aussichten auf die Stadt gab. Das zubereitete Essen war lecker und das Personal war willkommen und hilfreich. Der ryokan befindet sich oben auf einem Flug von Treppen, und es gibt nur Treppen innerhalb des Komplexes, so dass diejenigen mit Mobilitätsfragen Schwierigkeiten haben würden. Das Personal wird bei der Ein- und Auscheckung jedoch mit Ihrem Gepäck aussehen, und alle Einrichtungen sind verfügbar!

Es liegt auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Innenstadt vor dem Bahnhof, sodass es sich etwas einsam anfühlt, aber es ist nur 2-3 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt. Direkt neben dem Hotel befindet sich auch ein 7-Eleven. Das Innere des Hotels ist sauber und das Personal hat eine gute A**osphäre. Auch der Preis ist im Vergleich zu umliegenden Hotels angemessen. Ich würde es gerne wieder verwenden.

We were going to Zao Onsen for skiing, but the onsen town was fully booked out. Searching a little farther, we found Tsukinoike offering rooms and Kaiseki dinner + breakfast for a reasonable price, and that's how we decided our booking. To our surprise, the images of the hotel is accurate, as the hotel was newly renovated. There's design elements and details at every corner, and our stay was perfectly pleasant. It's only a 30 min drive from Zao Onsen, making the commute fairly reasonable. Lastly, the food was absolutely worth the price, as the chef creatively used local ingredients to make delicious Kaiseki dinner. We stayed for two nights, and the food did not repeat. Tsukinoike has been an unexpected gem during our trip. 

This hotel is located right next to the ropeway to see the Snow Monsters, which is very convenient. You can easily walk to line up for tickets early in the morning. Another advantage is that the hotel provides some covered parking spaces, so you don’t have to clear snow off your car in the morning. Initially, I accidentally booked a room without dinner included. I tried emailing the hotel to request adding dinner, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response. The room has a private hot bath, but you need to fill it yourself with hot water. The room size is relatively small, and the condition feels quite old. Overall, compared to the very high room price, I don’t think it offers great value for money.

We arrived late (20:15) due to temporary closure of Sendai Airport (tsunami warning), and obviously we were late for the hotel dinner after having to travel all the way up from Narita instead. We were tired and hungry when we arrived, but the hotel disappointed us even more for not reserving our paid dinners for us, nor was there a reimbursement. Did they just throw the food away after all the preparation work? The (presumably) manager's attitude was one of inflexibility and apathy, so atypical of Japanese etiquette. The restaurants nearby were all closed already and we had to starve for the first night there. Very unpleasant and inconsiderate arrangement.

The room is spacious and in traditional Japanese style. Was expecting a private onsen in the room but it was only a bathtub. The staff couldn’t communicate well in English which caused some misunderstanding during our stay but they’re friendly and responsible enough to solve the problem for us so it’s still a great experience overall. The breakfast was very traditional and got more and more abundant every day. We had a great 4nights stay in Hayamakan. The highlight has to be the nearby restaurants. The hotel will give you some recommendations nearby, please make sure you try some of them!

Excellent location with good service, parking is easy and many restaurants nearby. Walking distance to malls and train station. Good customer service, good room size.
