We stayed here for two nights to visit the castle and national trust gardens. The town is small so the hotel is within distance to the train station and to the castle. Room is fine although lighting is slightly dim. We requested an extra lamp that was promptly provided. Breakfast was typical English breakfast served in a very nice historical part of the hotel. The toiletries provided in the bathroom were very good quality and smells lovely. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Absolutely wonderful. Id stayed at Durham Royal County before with my girlfriend. However she didn't come with ne this time due to reasons that she had. The staff at the hotel were lovely about it and made me feel better about tge situation and a lovely note and complementary drinks for me to come back to in my room. All I can say is thankyou and I'll look forward to staying with you again soon. Thanks Matthew

Great stay for my birthday! The Pin is fab with lots of activities to keep you busy. We upgraded the spa which was well worth the £60 each (the sunny weather also made this a great experience). The room was a fab size (deluxe double) and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and have booked again.

Was a romantic get away, found that the drinks are expensive inside the hotel. we never ate at the hotel, as there is a couple of nice pubs close by. the staff were friendly, THe place is a bit of a maze but cool. they do run daily tours but its best if you book up in advance as when we tried to do day of the tour no availability. it is run via a 3rd party not the hotel itself.

Amazing stay. The customer service was impeccable from the off, very clean, all the necessary amenities, and a super comfortable bed and pillow.

The hotel has a very good location, which is definitely a plus and makes it convenient for exploring the area. However, we were disappointed by a few additional charges. Bathrobes are provided only for an extra £8, and the hotel parking is also paid, which was not very convenient and added unexpected costs to the stay.

First visit and it will not be last. Building is beautiful full of character. Sedgefield is a lovely village. However, the room we stayed in 416 needs soundproofing. When we went back to room on the night there was a loud constance noise like a furnace, on enquiring by staff I was advised room was next to kitchen its the extractor fans going. It did stop after evening service but was woken up early when they were put on again for breakfast and on constant till we checked out. On returning I will be requesting a room no where near kitchen.

A lovely traditional country house hotel. The public rooms were just what you expected, old world charm, the food excellent but the best asset  was the friendly and helpful staff. Unable to comment on bedrooms as we were in an accessible room which wasn’t great, good parking though. Needs attention to basic customer requirements, overall a great few days

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem kürzlich gebliebenen Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft war komfortabel und bietet eine entspannende Umgebung. Der Service, den wir erhalten hatten, war aufmerksam und wurde immer mit einem Lächeln geliefert. Wir genießen besonders die bequeme Lage und die angenehme Atmosphäre. Wir würden diese Einrichtung gerne anderen empfehlen.

Der Ort war brillant von Anfang bis Ende. Das Personal war erstaunlich, freundlich und super effizient. Das Zimmer war erstaunlich, sauber, gut mit heißen Getränkenangeboten gespeichert, der Fan liefert, weil es ziemlich warm war, alles, was Sie brauchen, ist da. Das Restaurant für Frühstück und ein Abendessen war fantastisch, das Essen ist schön, der Service außergewöhnlich und eine schöne Umgebung. Insgesamt hatten wir ein super Wochenende in einem fabulösen Hotel in einer erstaunlichen Lage.
