Wir blieben im Chinchilla Motor Inn als Familie und hatten eine fantastische Erfahrung. Die Zimmer waren sauber, komfortabel und gut gepflegt perfekt für eine Familienstopp. Eine besondere Erwähnung für die schöne Dame auf der Rezeption, die unglaublich hilfreich und willkommen war. Hoch empfehlen, dass jeder durchquert oder in Chinchilla verbleibt!
Sehr schönes Hotel, ich habe meinen Aufenthalt genossen. Sie können schlafen und dem Rauschen des Meeres lauschen. Das Restaurant ist ziemlich gut und das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich.

Lovely hotel located at the other end of the Esplanade. The broad walk at the back of the hotel was nice to stroll along and an easy way to get to the city center. Kudos to the reception staff, Riccardo for leaving a really good first impression when I first arrived. He was so clear in explaining everything I needed to know before I checked in, and subsequent days when I saw him he was also really helpful with whatever requests I had. The room was big and spacious, very comfy beds!! The housekeeping staff were also friendly whenever I saw them as I head out for the day. Food from the room service was tasty. However, the breakfast buffet options were almost the same everyday though, wish there could have been more variety. But overall, I still had a rather pleasant stay here(:

Das beste Teil, den ich liebe war das Balkonzimmer 1502 ziemlich sicher, weil das ist in der 0th der frische Luft.
Und Zimmerservice schnell und erschwinglich.
Es gibt einen kostenlosen Parkplatz in der Innenstadt, aber ich muss etwas weiter fahren. Ich habe das Auto zuerst in der Seitenstraße geparkt und bin dann zum Hotel gelaufen. Sehr schöne familienfreundliche Anlage, mit 2 großen und schön gestalteten Pools. Wir haben unsere Kinder dort fast nicht mehr rausbekommen.
Das Hotel ist in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend gelegen, dank der Pools und der zwei Restaurants kann es etwas lauter werden. War aber vollkommen okay.
Die Anlage kann viele überdachte Wege, welche vor Sonnenschein oder auch Starkregen (wie bei uns) schützen.

Das Bett war nicht sauber, hatte roten Schmutz, Teppich und Boden waren klebrig, ein totes Insekt lag auf der Sofakante – all das stellte ich schon in meiner ersten Nacht fest. Ich hatte nicht um ein anderes Zimmer gebeten, da ich es erst spät bemerkte und nach dem ganztägigen Flug auch nicht zu müde war. Das war aber nicht das Schlimmste: Nachdem ich meine Wäsche gewaschen hatte, funktionierte der Trockner nicht richtig. Ich habe es dreimal versucht, aber er schaltete sich nach 10 bis maximal 20 Minuten von selbst ab. Ich miete zum ersten Mal eine Wohnung in Australien. Wenn Sie Ihr Zimmer reinigen lassen möchten, empfehle ich dringend, von einer Wohnung abzuraten. Suchen Sie lieber nach Serviced Apartments oder Hotels.
Really lovely hotel, it was a little out from Airlie beach centre but the shuttle bus was perfect and not very expensive! The only thing was it wasn’t always that frequent but this is not the hotels fault!
It was a great stay, really friendly staff and clean throughout.

But when it comes to booking and service this is another story .. for the money I paid to stay 2 night I thought this would be the perfect place to rest I’m 5 star style .. place yes , service a disaster. Firstly when I arrived at Swiss bel .. I went to reception to book in as I booked online a queen bed room he asked if I had a vehicle I said yes agreed to the $35 a night and he said he would just take it out of the bond I paid at end if that was ok I said yes perfect .. when I got up to my room it was 2 single I called reception and advised I had booked a queen bed and there is 2 singles he said oh the house keeper hadn’t changed the beds or didn’t look at booking , I asked if someone could just come up and fix .. he said there is noone to do this now come down and j will find another room for you . I went down stairs said I would go get something to eat and when I come back hopefully a room will be sorted. I came back he advised me that he had upgraded me and I asked if I could have the new key and I will switch rooms and come back down with the other key to save me bringing my luggage down and then back up again. I got to room and key didn’t work to go to 6th floor . So I brought my luggage down and told reception that key didn’t work . He said sometimes this happens with those keys /actually quite often said he would come up with me and check . Yes card did not work so he used his staff card to let me in said he would fix and come back . He came back 10mins later to test and it had been foxed . Not sure what the upgrade as as room was smaller than the first , had no shower gel (was empty container when I went into have a shower) thought it may have been replenished on next day with room
Clean still empty on second day and cleaner took face washers and never replaced them so I washed with shampoo and a hand towel .. when I came back on second day went to put card into open the car park and it didn’t work .. I went to reception to let them know I was trying to get into car park and the card doesn’t work, she (Asian lady) advised me that I hadn’t paid for parking .. I had to explain everything from the night before then asked me they will take it out of my bind I said yes that’s what I agreed with the night before . No apology just more interested in getting payment for parking. She added parking to

I later received a phone call from a lady called Theresa asking how my stay was and I explain that it has been the most disappointing experience I have had ever ! Explained the above she said she would come and replace the shower gel and face washers I said it’s ok I have already had my shower used a hand towel and shampoo because I’m already in bed .. she said that I hope that my stay apologetic on my experience already , I hope it is better from now and if I need anything to contact her and ask for Theresa I said thank you I appreciated the call … then then 10
Minutes later she comes knocking on my door I have to get dress to answer the door she knocks again I said I’m coming
She is at the door with the shower gel and face washers getting me out of bed . I understand why she brought it but I told her I was in bed and I had already showered . So then I go to hand my key in to check out to be told I have outstanding parking I need to pay .. I advised Theresa that it is coming out of the bond payed and this has been told now to 3 people .. as I said place is absolutely fantastic.. apart from missing shower gel and tissues
Not sure what or how I was uograded as the room was smaller and no window as in first room

Der einzige Nachteil war, dass ich am nächsten Tag in ein niedriges behindertengerechtes Zimmer umziehen musste. Ich habe nicht darum gebeten, das Zimmer zu wechseln, und ich konnte die Dämpfe aus dem Restaurant unten riechen. Es wird empfohlen, ein höheres Stockwerk zu buchen

GGastnutzerThe Hotel is good in good location. Room was clean. It has 24hr gym room, well equipped. Friendly staff.
But there was problem that the hotel wrongly charge me A$1316.88. I immediately talk to the night shift staff that she refund me A$1036.08 immediately. And I found there was still A$280 outstanding. The staff said would be settle within 2 days before I left the hotel. Unfortunately when I left 5 days that still un-settle. It took another 10 days to credit my credit card. That experience was not quite enjoyable.
PPHILLIP JAMESThe Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.

Please note the lift is currently under construction so you may need to use the stairs, the stairs are not suitable for children as they have horizontal rails with large gaps. The restraunts buffet looked like it had a decent selection but we did not have it as it was $16each our two and three year olds.
GGastnutzerSurfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.
