We had a lovely short stay in Aarya. Starting off with convenience: by being transported by the vehicle arranged by the hotel from the Intl Airport at no extra cost. This was a lovely touch by the hotel as sometimes travellers may want to avoid the hassle of negotiating with taxi drivers and firms. Then being greeted by the wonderful staff at the reception with khada & a glass of refreshing drink. The check in was smooth and seamless. The hotel itself was remarkably decorated to a classic Nepali ‘Newari’ culture which was very impressive. Located in the heart of Thamel, but slightly away from the drawing music & hustle and bustle of the streets to provide a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that we certainly needed after a long flight. Our room was spacious and kitted out with all the amenities and not forgetting, wonderfully decorated again. The facilities provided in the Hotel, from the Gym to the swimming pool was again impressive considering we were in the heart of Thamel. I particularly enjoyed the view of Sundhara Dharahara and SkyWalk tower whilst running on Treadmill and going for a swim and also the view of Swayambhu whilst doing weights in the Gym. The Sora restaurant at the top floor provided us a majestic view of the city whilst dining both during dinner and breakfast. The glass floor at the dining area was also something unique at the hotel which we have not seen in Nepal. Food was of the highest quality, and we were thoroughly satisfied with dinner and particularly the wide range of options available on the breakfast buffet, from nepali classics such as Sel Roti and Puri to modern cuisine such as Masala Omelette and Sausage & Bacon. Truly a stay to remember and we have already recommended it to our friends and family and will definitely come back to stay here again!! One of the finest properties in Nepal — perfect location, beautiful ambience, and excellent amenities. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to accommodate every request. We stayed for a birthday celebration, and their thoughtful service made it truly special. If you’re looking to create unforgettable memories, this 5-star resort is the place to be.

This place is such a gem. Take slightly more than an hour direct from the Kathmandu airport. The views from the hotel is breathtaking. The room was clean and big enough for 2 pax. I like the balcony where i could just sit to take in the views and gaze at the stars at night. Bathroom was impeccably clean and the towels are really good. I participated in their morning hike organized by the hotel. The 1 hour i wished would lasted longer. We got a glimpse of the life around Nagarkot with amazing vistas. I must commend all the staffs at the hotel. Top notch service from everyone. With smile and very friendly. Special mention of Binod who has been very attentive in his service.

Ich habe drei Nächte im Hotel Barahi Katmandu geblieben und hatte eine angenehme Erfahrung. Das Hotel ist modern, sauber und komfortabel gelegen, so dass es einfach zu erkunden die Stadt. Das Personal war freundlich, aufmerksam und immer bereit, zu helfen. Besonderes Dank an Nicha für ihre hervorragende Service und Gastfreundschaft. Das Frühstück war gut und erfüllte die Erwartungen, obwohl das Menü während meines Aufenthalts weitgehend gleich blieb. Ein wenig mehr Vielfalt würde für Gäste, die mehrere Nächte verblieben, geschätzt werden. Der Fitnessbereich ist gut gepflegt, aber ziemlich klein, und die Betriebszeiten sind etwas begrenzt. Der Pool ist attraktiv, obwohl es eine begrenzte Privatsphäre bietet, da es sich neben dem Restaurantbereich befindet. Aufgrund meiner späten Eincheckung wurde ich ursprünglich ein Zimmer auf dem oberen Stock zugewiesen. Das Zimmer fühlte sich kleiner und weniger komfortabel als erwartet, und ich erlebte Probleme mit der Warm- und kalten Wasserkontrolle. Glücklicherweise bot das Personal proaktiv einen Zimmerwechsel an, und ich wurde später in ein Zimmer im vierten Stock verschoben, das viel geräumiger, komfortabel und besser ausgestattet war. Die Lage ist eines der starksten Punkte des Hotels, obwohl Verkehrslärm aus dem nahe gelegenen Kreuzung manchmal bemerkbar sein kann. Insgesamt habe ich meinen Aufenthalt genossen und die Professionalität und die Bereitschaft des Personals zur Lösung von Problemen geschätzt. Mit seiner bequemen Lage, sauberen Einrichtungen und hervorragenden Service empfehle ich Hotel Barahi Katmandu.

Das Hotel ist nur OK. Es ist als fünf-Sterne-Hotel aufgeführt, es fühlte sich mehr als ein drei-Sterne-Hotel. Das Restaurant war sehr teuer und die Qualität der Nahrung war wirklich nicht anders als viel von dem Nahrung, das ich in einem normalen Restaurant in der Stadt zu einem Viertel des Preises bekommen konnte. Das Zimmer war angemessen, aber das Bett war nicht so komfortable und die Blätter und Schleifen und Kissen waren super unkomfortable. Sie fühlten sich nicht wie Qualität, die aus einem fünf-Sterne-Hotel kommen würde. Ich habe in drei Sternhotels geblieben, die höhere Qualitätsblätter und -blöcke und Betten hatten. Der Service ist wirklich gut und alles im Hotel ist ziemlich schön, aber es ist definitiv nicht fünf Sternen wert.

Clean. Nice selection of breakfast. The concierge was professional and helpful. The valet staff was very helpful with the taxis. The reception desk staff was not quite familiar with his work. 1. Couldn’t find my booking. 2. Miscalculated the number of nights to stay 3. Didn’t realize the room was prepaid and was going to charge again. But he acknowledged his mistakes.

Da der Flug spät am Morgen ankam, waren die jungen Leute an der Rezeption sehr enthusiastisch und boten einen guten Service. Obwohl die Hoteleinrichtungen nicht sehr neu sind, ist die Umgebung sehr komfortabel und hat einen anderen exotischen Stil. Nach zwei Tagen Aufenthalt war das Frühstück in Ordnung, aber das Mädchen, das für das Frühstück zuständig war, begrüßte die Europäer und Amerikaner nur und reichte ihnen Kaffee, drückte aber ein Auge zu und ignorierte mich.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, cozy, and exactly what I needed after a long day of exploring. The location is unbeatable too, just a short walk from the main attractions. Would definitely book again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

I stayed at Hyatt Centric Kathmandu and was pleasantly surprised — the room was actually better than in the photos! Spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with stunning views of the mountains, the city, and even the Monkey Temple. Definitely a highlight of the stay. The rooftop pool was decent, not too crowded and with a nice ambiance. I also ordered room service once — the food was just okay, and the breakfast was a bit underwhelming, especially for a Hyatt. The selection was quite limited for this brand's usual standard. One downside was my arrival experience. I came down from a taxi and noticed there were no bellboys or concierge staff outside to help with my luggage — maybe due to a staff shortage? Only once I approached the lobby did a staff member assist me and take my bags to the room. Thankfully, check-in itself was smooth and fast, and I appreciated being allowed to enter my room before the standard 2 PM check-in time. The welcome drink was also a nice touch. All in all, the room and view were excellent — probably the best part of this Hyatt. Just a bit more attention to guest arrival and food variety would make the experience even better.
