Das Hotel war erstaunlich und Sie mussten nur eine Straße überqueren, um direkt am Strand zu sein. Die Frühstücksauswahl war etwas fehl (denken Getreide, Oatmeal und Muffins) aber war genügend, um den Tag zu verbrennen. Das Zimmer war sehr grainig mit Sand, aber das ist als Strandhotel zu erwarten. Haushalte war hervorragend, um die beantragten Blätter, Handtücher und Toilettenpapier in zeitnaher Weise zu liefern. Ein Unannehmlichkeit, die es wert ist zu erwähnen, ist, dass sie nur ein leicht zugängliches Plug in der Nähe von Geräten, so dass wir nicht die Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle und Fernsehverbindungen auf einmal haben konnten, Allerdings war das kein Problem in anderen Trip-Goers Zimmer, so vielleicht ist das nur ein einziges Zimmer Problem. Es gibt einige der Außenseite, die einen großen Entspannungspunkt lieferten. Die nachstehenden Fotos sind einige der Fotos, die von der Sicht von den Hotels Treppe. Das Hotel ist auch für ein Kind mit begrenzter Bewegungsfähigkeit sehr verständlich und bequem. Wenn Sie nicht nach etwas zu fancy suchen, sondern einen anständigen Ort, um während der Golf-Shores zu bleiben, ist das sicherlich ein Ort, den ich empfehlen würde.

Ich war geschäftlich dort und auch mit der Familie und es war sehr schön. Sie sind sehr schön und sauber! Tolle Gastfreundschaft von der Rezeption und dem Personal. Sie waren sehr höflich und höflich. Ich weiß, wohin ich gehen muss, wenn ich mit meiner Familie etwas unternehmen möchte, obwohl ich in Birmingham bleibe.

GGastnutzerThis was my second stay and, overall, another good one. First I,d like to say thank you for something you may not be aware of, my pillow. I have neck problems so when I find a good one that fits the way I need I take it with me. Unfortunately I left it in the room. I called the front desk that afternoon to hopefully get it back, having my daughter-in-law pick it up as she and my son and grandkids live close by. The clerk was very courteous and said it was likely in laundry but couldn't leave the front desk to check. He graciously said he would leave a note and someone could pick it up the next morning. My daughter-in-law did just that.
This is a budget no-frills hotel in a safe location. My son and his family live probably less than 2 miles from there so I am very familiar with the area in southeast Huntsville. I can't think of anything you can't get nearby as all the big box stores, numerous gas stations, restaurants, and a few small bars, etc are a stones throw away. As someone that used to travel with work with plenty of weekly and monthly motel stays I know how important convenience and room costs can be. There are cheaper motels nearby but I don't recommend them due to location(safety) and poor past experience as well as inconvenience due to traffic on 72. VIP has a restaurant on one side and a small bar on the other, both just across the parking lots. There are plenty of others within safe and easy walking distance.
The room: I'm a smoker and booked a smoking room. Those aren't easy to find anymore. That said, there were signs of it if you looked. Nothing to fault VIP for as I put that on previous guests and the room, at least to me, didn't smell like it. The most important parts, counters, tub, toilet, bedding, etc were clean but the floor, TV remote, and spaces you could only see when sitting down or looking under something could use some attention.
There was an issue with the TV box where every time I turned it on to watch I had to unplug the box and plug it back in to get it to wake up.
The water was just warm enough for a shower but never any hot water for my preference even after letting it run 3-5 minutes prior. Stayed warm for a long shower but forget about a hot bath. The drain was slow like it needed cleaning out. Not so slow that the shower didn't drain fast enough but slow enough that any water straight from the tub faucet would fill it faster than it could drain. Likely needed cleaning out. Not a housekeeping issue but more a maintenance issue since the ”hair catcher” or whatever you call it would need to be removed.
The towels would make good loofahs for exfoliating. A little fabric softener would be a plus.
The pillows were flat. Something to address for the next updates.
The floors are vinyl, much preferred over nasty carpet that always keeps something for itself even after a thorough vacuuming.
The door needs a new weather strip and/or threshold as I did have one unwelcome guest slip under it. Not the kind you'd have to worry about living there though and I simply evicted him with a flush.
I give VIP 4 out of 5 stars. I'm a realist and I know that keeping everything perfect isn't cost effective and could easily increase room rates but I also know that some of the small details would simply take a little more time and attention.
I try to be thorough not just for potential guests but also for owners, management, and staff are fully aware of any issues, grievances, or thumbs up.
I would definitely stay again.

DDevi Weems/Kenneth DuffieDas ist das Absolute schlimmste Hotel, das ich hätte buchen können. Vor dem Einchecken wurde mir gesagt, dass mein Zimmer kein Fernseher oder Mikrowelle hatte. Der Nachttisch-Verwalter sagte mir, dass ich meine Buchungsfirma kontaktieren und eine Erstattung würde trotz der Website gesagt, keine Erstattung. Da ich drei Tage lang da sein werde, habe ich beschlossen, dass drei Tage ohne Fernseher oder Mikrowelle unmöglich wäre, so dass ich nie angemeldet. Es hat über eine Woche gedauert, nachdem ich die Running-Running erhalten hatte, um herauszufinden, dass der Nachttisch-Verwalter gerade auf lügte. Ich habe keine Erstattung erhalten --nicht einmal eine teilweise Erstattung. Sie können wetten, dass NEIN DER Räume alles auf der Liste der Einrichtungen haben, weil ich alles im Büro hinter dem Tisch gesehen habe!!!! Wenn Sie hier buchen, Sie sind ein ****!!! Ich warne Sie vor der Zeit!!!!! Ich wünschte, jemand hätte einen Kommentar über ihre Erfahrungen veröffentlicht, ich hätte nie die Zeit, die es dauerte, um sie zu finden, vor allem, weil sie nicht einmal ein Signal hatten, Nur ein Banner, das Sie nicht nur nicht sehen konnten, sondern konnten nicht lesen, wenn Sie es gesehen hätten, weil es alles war aufgewühlt!!!!! REISERS WAHR:::: Dieses Hotel ist definitiv nicht wo Sie sein wollen!!!!! BESEITEN so weit weg wie Sie möglicherweise aus dieser ”Kette”!!!!!!!!!!

BBeasleyWir kamen zum Hotel und wir hatten kein warmes Wasser in unserem Zimmer, so das Hotel wechselte unser Zimmer und sagte, es war nur ein Problem mit dem einzelnen Zimmer, als das ganze Hotel eigentlich kein warmes Wasser hatte. So mussten wir alle duschen in kaltem Wasser. Sie bot uns keine Erstattung an, wo wir auch gehen und in einem anderen Hotel bleiben könnten. Es war ziemlich bedauerlich, aber oh, gut. Das Hotel war wirklich nett und sauber, aber die Leute gehen zu einem Hotel für einen Ort zum Schlafen und Duschen, wenn sie reisen. Zahlen Sie 169 $ und dann die Eisdusche zu nehmen ist völlig unannehmbar! Und sie wissen, dass sie mit ihrem heißen Wasser ein Problem hatten und nichts getan haben, um das zu beheben, bis am nächsten Tag nach jeder Auscheckung noch unzulässiger ist. Die richtige Reaktion wäre gewesen, unser Geld zurückzuzahlen, damit wir ein anderes Hotel finden konnten, das warmes Wasser bot. Es ist eine traurige Erfahrung nach einem wirklich langen Tag und Sie sind schmutzig und wollen nur eine heiße Dusche, dann muss man in kaltem Wasser baden. Es war nicht einmal Lukewarm.

AAnonymer BenutzerWe wanted to stay in Irondale rather than Birmingham and although this property didn't have great or CURRENT reviews,the description said that it was renovated in 2024 and no other property had a better review. It was indeed updated in some areas and our room was very nicely appointed with new upholstery and modern furniture but it was not clean. There was a layer of dust (construction?) on EVERYTHING and long, dark hairs on the bathroom floor. The window glass was filthy. The freezer was so in need of defrosting that the door would not shut and we were unable to refreeze our flat ice packs. I would guess that no one has stayed in the room since the renovation and the room had not received a post-construction cleaning. The elevator was very dirty,noisy, and a bit scary to ride to the 4th floor. The regular clientele is obviously traveling construction workers. Staff was very friendly but unprofessional.

GGuest UserDie Hilfe war sehr freundlich und zwingend. Auch hatte frühe Eincheckung für uns. Einmal in wir fanden das Hotel schlecht gepflegt und Staub auf Bettbahnen und anderen Oberflächen. Die Boden wurden gereinigt, wo gefüllt, aber die Räume wurden spürbar und schmutzig. Wieder einmal waren die Mitarbeiter freundlich und hilfreich, aber weniger als ausreichende Einrichtungen.
Wird in Zukunft das Rote Dach vermeiden.

I was on my way to our home in Florida and broke up the 12 hour drive with a halfway point stop for the night. The staff was helpful and pleasant both upon arrival and check-out. My room was clean and everything worked (tub drained well, refrigerator was cold, room temperature controls were responsive, etc.). I felt safe in the area which was also convenient to shopping and restaurants. Their well-stocked breakfast was a nice surprise! It was available in their clean, bright and spacious area and the eggs/sausage were hot and delicious. There were several other options as well that would easily accommodate a hungry family. This will now be my go-to hotel in the future along I-65!
