2-Sterne-Hotels in Suðurland, Island

We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!

Location: right on the main road of Hofn. A supermarket is almost next door but it closed at 19:00 pm. Room was spacious. Nice staff. Host response to my message quickly regarding the check-in information. In the meantime, the host also informed me that some free snack and cereal were available. This was very good to me because I was very hungry when I arrived the guesthouse. Even though the guesthouse didn't serve breakfast, some additional snack were served. Cleanliness: staff would clean the chair and table once the guests left the kitten (common area). It would be very appreciated. 'Shared kitten' was stated on the booking page. Actually, there was no cooking stoves. It would be good to have a microwave. I failed to get the hot water in the shower room. Having tried different ways, I gave up finally. Luckily, it was still cold.

Die Selbsthilfe-Check-in ist sehr bequem, die Anweisungen sind auch sehr klar, die Lage ist sehr gut, das Zimmer ist auch sehr komfortabel, die Küche ist ein bisschen unrein, aber das ist auch das, was die Mieter getan haben, sie haben nicht sauber, aber die Küche ist sehr komplett, alles

Clean and simple room. Shared amenities. Unusual breakfast. We were given a plate with croissant, juice, apple, hard boiled egg, rasher of cold bacon and cheese and cucumber. Not what I was expecting. Seemed a bit wasteful as I really don't desire cucumber for breakfast. Croissant was fresh and lovely.

自行入住，大門沒鎖（但門很重，要拉大力一點），房間使用密碼鎖；停車方便，可停路邊（不用錢） ，也可停飯店自己的停車場；廚房設備齊全，可惜桌椅不多；有小交誼廳，整體公用空間不多；打掃蠻乾淨的；最大缺點可能是房間不大。

es ist ein Gästehaus mitten im Nirgendwo. wir mussten es nehmen, weil wir in der Gegend nichts gefunden haben. das Zimmer ist sehr klein, aber es gibt einen Gemeinschaftsraum, wo man draußen sitzen kann. Sie können hier parken.

Beim Einchecken gab es einen kleinen Zwischenfall. Wir wussten nicht, wie wir an das Passwort kommen sollten. Mit Hilfe von Ctrip fanden wir den Vermieter. Sein Lächeln vertrieb unsere Reue. Er schenkte uns außerdem eine Schachtel Kuchen, die uns an diesem seltsamen Ort ein warmes Gefühl gab. Die Matratze ist bequem, die Küche groß und gut ausgestattet und der Aufenthalt angenehm. Wir haben hier auch überall am Himmel Polarlichter gesehen. Dies ist ein guter Ort, um Polarlichter zu beobachten, mit wenig Licht und einer wunderschönen Landschaft in Peking!

Room was clean, tidy and adequate for a family of four. The guesthouse is located conveniently to a cluster of restaurants, and easily accessible from the main road.
