Nestled in the lush highlands near Ella, my stay around Ravana Falls was nothing short of breathtaking. The property, often referred to locally as “Ravana Rabge,” perfectly captures the charm and serenity that make this region one of Sri Lanka’s most beloved travel destinations. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the stunning architecture and its seamless blend with nature. Built across multiple levels on a hillside, the structure offers panoramic views of rolling green mountains, dense forests, and the distant valley below. The design is both modern and rustic, with warm wooden finishes, open balconies, and large glass windows that allow natural light to flood in throughout the day. Early mornings here feel magical—the soft golden sunlight gently touches the hills, while birdsong creates a peaceful wake-up call. One of the highlights of the property is its beautifully maintained outdoor space. The pool area is particularly inviting, offering a refreshing escape after a day of exploring nearby attractions. Sitting by the pool, surrounded by greenery and fresh mountain air, creates a sense of calm that is hard to find elsewhere. Himmel auf Erden! Absolut vermasselt jeden Morgen mit Frühstück auf ihrem Dach übersehen den berühmten Ella Rock. Vielleicht der beste Schlafzimmerblick, den ich je gesehen habe. Wir reisen im April, das bekanntlich muggen und heiß ist, aber die elektrischen Fans sind sehr mächtig und halten uns schön und cool in den Abenden, sie haben sogar einen Schlaf auf sie gesetzt! Ich hätte nicht mehr gefragt. 5 min TukTuk nach und von der Stadt (500sr oder £ 1.50). Oder einen ruhigen 10-minütigen Spaziergang. 11/10 würde empfehlen

Wenn man bedenkt, dass dies ein 3-Sterne-Hotel ist, sind die Pluspunkte die großen Zimmer mit Balkon und fantastischer Aussicht (zumindest für uns). Der Pool ist sauber und ziemlich groß, ebenfalls mit fantastischer Aussicht und einem Wasserspiel aus Beton mit Elefantenmotiven!!! Die Lage des Hotels ist auch ziemlich gut – weit genug von anderen Hotels entfernt, um ruhig zu sein, aber nah genug an Ellas Hauptstraße, sodass man sie in 10–15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen oder einem Tuk-Tuk-Fahrer den doppelten Preis von Colombo zahlen kann, um hin und zurück zu kommen. Der große Minuspunkt für uns war, dass das Zimmer nicht täglich gereinigt wurde, obwohl uns beim Einchecken gesagt wurde, dass es gereinigt würde. Und mir wurde als Grund dafür genannt, dass wir unseren Schlüssel nicht abgegeben hätten – was seltsam erscheint, nachdem ich jahrzehntelang in Hotels gewohnt habe und nie dazu aufgefordert wurde oder musste, einen Schlüssel abzugeben, um eine normale tägliche Zimmerreinigung zu bekommen. Die Unterstellung, es sei unsere Schuld, dass wir keinen Schlüssel abgegeben hätten (nicht, dass uns das beim Einchecken gesagt worden wäre), war extrem ärgerlich. Das Essen war ok, aber überteuert, sodass wir woanders gegessen haben (es gab viele Möglichkeiten). Es gab viele Kleinigkeiten in den Zimmern, die man leicht hätte verbessern können – auf jeden Fall keine zerrissenen Badetücher und keine leere TV-Halterung von der Wand (als ob da mal ein Fernseher gehangen hätte, aber jetzt nicht mehr – oder war es nur in unserem Zimmer so, wer weiß). All diese Kleinigkeiten summieren sich zu einem Zimmerpreis, den ich wirklich zu hoch finde – aber wir sind in der Hochsaison hier, also ist das vielleicht einfach der übliche Preis.

Dowa Elegance Resort is a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful nature. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxation. A great place to enjoy the beauty of Sri Lanka with warm hospitality.

Großes Hotel, mit unschlagbarer Aussicht auf Ella Rock auf dem Balkon. Allerdings hatte das Zimmer keine universellen Plug-Sockets, das Hotel hat einen Haartrockner, aber nicht passte die Plug-Socket. Es ist auch sehr schwierig mit Taschen zu erreichen. Gut, wenn Sie zurückpacken, aber das Befördern von Taschen auf dem massiven Hügel ist sehr schwierig. Vielleicht sollte das Hotel in der Kauf ihre eigenen Tuktuk für Fährkunden auf und nach dem Hügel schauen. Nicht jeder ist ein Rückpacker!

Ich möchte nicht nur eine Bewertung, sondern vielmehr ein herzliches Dankeschön für ein paar Tage absoluter Ruhe und Freude teilen. Es war nicht ein Standardruhe, sondern eine echte Belastung. Diese Villa befindet sich am schönsten Ort , inmitten von grünen Hügeln , Teepflanzungen ! Die Zimmer sind geräumig im Hotel sind nur 2 , sie haben Balkone und Panoramablick . Alle sauber und sauber . Wir reisen vier und es ergab, dass das Haus nur unseres war! Es war lecker! Wir kochen Frühstück im Zeitverlauf , in 2 Tagen war es vielfältig. Große Services , alle sehr leckere Früchte , Mund , Burger , mehrere Optionen von Eiern , Pancakes und Getränke für die Wahl . Es gibt eine scenische Brücke in der Nähe , ein Restaurant mit lokaler Küche . Zum Stadtzentrum 10 Minuten auf einem Squeeze auf Serpantin . Ein separater Dank an den Hotelbesitzer und Manager, waren immer bereit, zu helfen/zu sagen und zu helfen! Wir werden froh sein, zurückzukommen !

Perfect Stay in the Heart of Ella! We recently stayed at Bridge Front Inn and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything about this place is excellent. The staff here are incredibly attentive and friendly; they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We were greeted with a complimentary freshly made passion fruit juice, which was a delicious way to start our stay. The location is simply ideal — right next to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, making it super convenient for exploring Ella's main attractions on foot. Although we didn't use their shuttle service because we weren't aware of it when booking, the owner kindly agreed to drive us to a restaurant one evening, showing true hospitality. The food was another highlight, absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet deserves a special mention as there is an enormous selection of dishes to choose from. Our room was spotlessly clean with fresh bed linen and brilliantly white towels. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay at Ella Rawana Den Hotel in Ella. The location is excellent — just a short walk to town, making it very convenient for restaurants, cafes and exploring the area. One of the highlights was the beautiful balcony view overlooking the lush green hills. It was the perfect place to relax in the morning or evening. The room was big, clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. However, it’s important for older guests or anyone with mobility issues to know that the hotel is located up a very steep hill. Cars and tuk-tuks cannot access the property directly, so you need to walk up, which can be challenging — especially with heavy luggage. Because of this, it may not be suitable for elderly or disabled travellers. One small improvement would be for the hotel to provide a hairdryer in the rooms, as this would be very helpful for female guests. Overall, a great stay with beautiful views and kind staff — just be prepared for the steep climb!

We stay here for 3 nights and it was a lovely experience! The rooms were clean and tidy, we got fresh towels each day and new bottles of water! They were happy to tidy the room each day which was the first time we had this on our whole journey in Sri Lanka so was a lovely extra touch for us but we were happy with just new towels and water! They are currently renovating downstairs to build a restaurant so we were a little confused when we first arrived but this did not take away from the experience of the hotel, the staff were super friendly and accommodating! The hotel is in the perfect location on the main road through Ella with bars, restaurants and shops everywhere! With the train station a short 5 min walk everything is accessible. We would 100% recommend to stay here for your trip to Ella
