Firstly, I was given a room in an extension block that seemed to have been built recently. It was modern but lacked the charm and character of a true heritage property. The main building, with its fireplace and historic ambience, was nowhere to be found. This was especially disappointing considering the premium price I paid, comparable to what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. The lack of attention to detail continued throughout my stay. When I checked in on a rainy day, I had to walk to the extension block without an umbrella despite the muddy road. The staff seemed unbothered by this inconvenience. Additionally, the room didn't have slippers, and the floor was cold, with no heating available (although they did provide a basic room heater when requested). To make matters worse, I had to call the front desk to confirm my room for the second day, which should have been done automatically as part of their standard procedure. This lack of efficiency only added to my frustration. The toiletries were also woefully inadequate, with only basic soap and shampoo provided. Power cuts were frequent, and I had to notify the front desk each time, which seemed like a hassle the hotel should have anticipated. The breakfast buffet was uninspiring and lacked flavour. To make matters worse, I had dinner at their restaurant, which was rated top in Ooty, but my experience was average at best. To add insult to injury, they got our order wrong, substituting Nasi Goreng (fried rice) with Mee Goreng (fried noodles). When I brought this to their attention, they made no effort to compensate for the mistake. In conclusion, Hotel King's Cliff fails to live up to its reputation as a heritage property or even a 2-star hotel. The overpricing and lack of attention to detail make it a poor choice for travellers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Ooty.

Vielen Dank für das herzliche und gastfreundliche Personal von ibis sipcot, ich hatte eine tolle Woche in Chennai. Das Zimmer ist sauber und das Bett ist sehr bequem. Die Angestellten im Hotel sind unglaublich! In der Nähe des Hotels befindet sich ein großes Einkaufszentrum und ein großer Supermarkt. Gehen Sie 10-15 Minuten. Die Straße in Indien ist etwas schwierig zu gehen. Tatsächlich gibt es daneben eine Saftbar und man kann bewertete Getränke und Wasser kaufen

We had booked a room at this Hotel for Aug 19th on the Hotel's website and had paid an advance of Rs.1000. We had an email confirmation received for our booking also. However, on arriving at the Hotel on 19th, we were informed that they cannot give us a room because of some ongoing event in Madurai. Not only that, till date, they have not refunded the booking advance despite emails and phone calls. However, I am grateful to one gentleman at the Hotel who was kind enough to point us to another alternate Hotel which had a room available where we could stay that night. If they had constraints for which they were canceling our reservation, they could have easily informed us on phone or email they won't be able to honour the reservation and should have returned the booking advance. Clearly, the Hotel does not think either one is necessary.

Ibis ist wirklich ein schöner Ort zu bleiben. Die Lage ist im Stadtzentrum, wo Sie alle leichten Zugang zu wohin Sie gehen wollen. Das Transportsystem in der Umgebung ist sehr freundlich. Sie können einen Toktok Motorrad bekommen, um Sie zu jedem Ort, wo Sie sehen wollen.

This property is within walk able distance from the main Rly station and in a quite place.. Its well maintained, clean and hygienic. rooms are spacious and well furnished, quality of the food was delicious. All the staff were very polite and courteous. Unfortunately in my room, the toilet door broke down and so i was not able to close it. The flush was leaking and no mug was available. I will appreciate if the management provides uniforms to their staff to maintain its standard.and if the House keeping in charge can check the room etc once a guest check out and ractify any short comings.

Ich würde dieses Hotel sicher jedem empfehlen. Der Service war gut. Besonders für das Personal des Front Desk Person Name Srijita, die bei mir und meiner Familie teilnahm. Sie machte unsere Ein- und Auscheckung abbreeze. Ein anderes Personal namens Rengasri, dessen Kundenservice ausgezeichnet ist. Beide machten unser Aufenthalt komfortabel und angenehm. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer und alles war gut zu kümmern. Ich bin froh, dass Marriott solche Mitarbeiter hat und sollte anerkannt werden. Meine Familie und ich sind sehr glücklich mit dem Aufenthalt.
