Wir checkten am Weihnachtstag im 23. Stock ein. Obwohl es sich um einen seitlichen Meerblick handelte, war die Aussicht wunderschön. Bei Sonnenaufgang sah man auf der einen Seite die Bucht und auf der anderen rote Häuser. In der Ferne war sogar der Signalberg zu sehen. Alles verwandelte sich von Rosa zu Gold, und in den Glasfassaden des gegenüberliegenden Hotels spiegelten sich die aufgehende Sonne und die goldene Meeresoberfläche wider, als wären die Gebäude vergoldet. Das Hotelfrühstück hatte ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, war gut organisiert und bot einen Blick über das gesamte Meer. Ein Spaziergang in der Bucht unterhalb des Hotels vermittelt das Gefühl eines reinen Qingdao im Winter. Sehr empfehlenswert.

I found what looked like an engorged tick or bedbug crawling up my bed. The hotel is pretty and I booked it for 1 night as a luxury treat so I could get a good rest for my layover stop to another destination. My room smelt like stale smoke unfortunately, though I had asked for non-smoking. I paid extra on my booking for breakfast and had to wake up at 6am, eat breakfast at 6.30am and go to the airport at 7.20am. My room had a bathtub so I took a bath before bedtime and went to bed at midnight, I got up to go switch the lamp off at 1am and found this bug crawling up the side of my bed going towards me. I think it's either a tick or a bed bug, the body was full of blood. It had 6 or 8 legs, difficult to see but I took a video which doesn't allow me to upload. I don't have any problems with normal bugs such as spiders, but if it is a tick or bedbug it is a big problem. I was really worried there were more hiding inside the bed, I called reception for help and they looked at the bug which I caught in a glass cup. They apologised deeply and changed my room, so I had to move at 1.30am. I explained I was already tired and have to wake up early. In the new room I was unable to sleep as I kept worrying about bed bugs. I got up multiple times to check my bed. And there was a noisy couple next door talking loudly until very late so I couldn't sleep. For a luxury hotel you should not need to loose a whole night's sleep because you are worried about bedbugs or ticks biting you. Nor should be able to hear noise from other guests through the wall. I was extremely exhausted the next day and did not have any appetite. I asked if they could refund the extra I paid for breakfast because I couldn't eat it, but they said it wasn't possible. So I forced myself to try eat 1 egg and some small rice porridge but couldn't finish it. Really expensive to pay for breakfast and hardly eat, it's a shame they couldn't refund the breakfast considering I had no sleep. For a 5* hotel, I would like to have good rest and peaceful sleep. But it was not like that. The staff were very kind and helpful, but it's not so easy to travel here alone. It was not easy to book a taxi for the following morning to the airport and it took 40 minutes of assistance, the man was very kind and helpful, but the hotel should make an easier system for foreign guests to book taxi. When I first arrived in Jinan airport, I had no idea how to get to the hotel. There is no ATM inside the hotel so you cannot withdraw cash, and you cannot pay with foreign card to book a taxi. The shangri-la website did not provide any details for public transport. It simply said bus transfer was available but did not say which number bus. I would give the details here but I have forgotten the route name and bus number now as it was hectic and I was very tired, sorry. I had to waste a lot of time trying to ask for help at the airport as the staff did not speak English. Luckily someone helped me. The bus will cost 20yuan and take you into the centre where you will see the intercontinental hotel and a large shopping mall on the left side of the bus, get off at that stop, it takes 1 hour. From there it's only 5 minutes walk to shangri-la. For a big hotel they should provide easy instructions on the website to guests.
The staff apologised deeply for the bug on the bed, and offered 10% reduction of the room rate. Although when I checked out no refund was given and they didn't mention anything about it, I think they just charged full price. Personally I think 10% is not enough anyway. Nobody wants to change rooms at 1.30am because of bugs crawling on the bed. I didn't get any sleep at all and felt itchy because I kept thinking about bugs and couldn't eat the breakfast. This was my second stay at the hotel and once again, it was excellent. From the location to the service to the amenities, everything was top-notch. The Sheraton has become my preferred hotel in Zibo and I will definitely be back.

Ich habe vorher gezögert, Hilton zu buchen, aber die Lage war ungünstig, also habe ich mich schließlich für Pullman entschieden. Es hat sich gelohnt!

Mein Aufenthalt im InterContinental Jinan Guiyang war einfach fantastisch! Die Rezeptionistin, Frau Chen, war ein wahres Juwel. Von meiner Ankunft bis zum Check-in begrüßte sie mich mit einem Lächeln. Geduldig beantwortete sie meine zahlreichen Fragen zu Parkplätzen und nahegelegenen Sehenswürdigkeiten und gab mir sogar hilfreiche Hinweise zum Zimmer. Ihre Herzlichkeit und Professionalität haben mir sofort das Herz erwärmt.
Das Zimmer selbst war wirklich außergewöhnlich. Die Einrichtung strahlte mit exquisiten Details und weicher, bequemer Bettwäsche ein Gefühl von Luxus aus. Ich fühlte mich vom ersten Moment an rundum wohl. Der Blick aus dem Fenster war weitläufig, das Zimmer war makellos sauber und die Ausstattung war umfassend und durchdacht. Es hat meine Erwartungen an einen hochwertigen Aufenthalt voll erfüllt.
Dieser Service und diese Atmosphäre verdienen eine 100-prozentige Bewertung. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten, wenn ich Jinan besuche!

Ich hatte keine hohen Erwartungen, aber dank der Mitarbeiter erwies sich es als eine sehr gute Erfahrung.
Zuerst kümmerte sich Nicky um mich bei der Eincheckung und gab mir ein besonderes Geschenk und Erfahrung.
Und Nicky ist wunderschön.
Kimi war auch ein großes Mitarbeiter für mich während der Abreise.

The first room we were checked-in had a broken window that couldn’t be opened and the reception didn’t know about it, although the window was closed with a tape and they should have known that this room had a problem. There were not many guests in the hotel and plenty of rooms to be offered.
In the next room we found out that the show was out of hot water. The problem was with the central supply system and instead of repairing it themselves, the hotel engineer was coming to our room claiming that we should discharge water for 5-10 minutes before hot water starts coming out. This kept going for almost an hour, we were tired and wanted to sleep because it was late evening. The problem didn’t require our assistance because the problem was with the whole hot water supply system, not with our exact room.
Also, they brought us a small heater to the room which I was surprised about, but then I understood that it was because the air-conditioner which had a heater mode, didn’t work well. I doubt that the hotel would have enough heaters for all rooms in case they had more guests. Without the heater it was quite cold in the room.
Next morning the house keeper came at 9-30 am!!!Which is insane. We were sleeping. I’ve never encountered a hotel at which the house keeper came that early and disturbed the guests.
Finally when leaving the hotel, we wanted to take those one-time use sleepers with us to use during the flight and found out to our surprise, that for 4 days we were living in the hotel sleepers were not changed even once. I called the reception, it was early morning (like 6-30 am) and they told me that the house keeper will bring us the sleepers when she comes to work. I told that we were leaving already and the reception promised to bring the sleepers asap. 10 minutes later nobody came and we went to check-out. At the check-out I asked for the sleepers again and told the receptionist that the taxi has almost arrived, so that she could bring us the sleepers first and then proceed with the check-out. She didn’t listen to me, still first processed the check-out and only after it went for the sleepers. So it basically took me half an hour and my nerves to get the sleepers that were supposed to be in my room from the very beginning.
The general manager talked to us after the case with the hot water and the house keeper coming early in the morning. He was very polite, but this doesn’t eliminate the fact that basic services in this hotel leave much to be desired.
On the plus side, very comfortable beds and clean spacious room.

The Deluxe Queen Room itself was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was comfortable, and the room was well-maintained, with clean linens, a tidy bathroom, and adequate amenities. The layout felt functional rather than overly luxurious, but it delivered exactly what one would expect from an airport hotel in this category. Sound insulation was reasonably effective; despite the airport location, noise levels were minimal and did not disrupt rest.

In particular, the duty manager, Ali, made a strong impression through his proactive hospitality. Facilities appeared comprehensive, though my stay was brief and primarily focused on rest rather than exploring all offerings. In terms of value, the hotel performs strongly. It delivers reliability, cleanliness, and comfort without unnecessary extravagance. For travelers prioritising practicality, convenience, and a good night’s sleep before or after a flight, it is a solid choice.

The hotel is an excellent choice for families thanks to its very family-friendly environment and top-tier location. It’s conveniently situated right next to popular spots like MixC Mall, so there’s no stress about where to go—only the fun challenge of deciding what to eat among the many restaurant options!
The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches for children, such as a baby crib, kids’ slippers, and shampoo/lotion amenities—definitely a big plus for families traveling with toddlers.
The only disappointment during our stay was related to a special request. I had emailed the hotel in advance asking for a small room decoration for our wedding anniversary, and they had confirmed it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t prepared upon our arrival, which was quite disappointing as I had planned it as a surprise for my wife. After speaking with reception, they kindly arranged a small cake, which we appreciated, but it still felt like a slight letdown.
That said, we would really like to recognize one outstanding housekeeping staff member: 刘建鑫.
He truly made a difference during our stay. Not only did he politely check to ensure we were not in the room before entering—respecting our privacy—but he also noticed a faulty bed guard and replaced it proactively without us even mentioning it. Breakfast offered a wide and diverse selection, ranging from Western to Eastern cuisine, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Dinner, however, was just average for our taste (a personal preference).
Overall, if you’re traveling with your family—especially with children—I highly recommend Shangri-La Qingdao.

Llxhong5Die Umgebung des Hotels neben dem Yachtclub ist sehr gut. Von jedem Zimmer aus kann man das Meer sehen, allerdings aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln. Es ist sehr angenehm, morgens und abends am Strand spazieren zu gehen und eignet sich für ein paar Tage Freizeiturlaub. Ich war vor sechs Jahren dort, obwohl die Ausstattung etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Allerdings ist der Stoff der Stühle im Restaurant offensichtlich fleckig. Dem Garten wurden Kindereinrichtungen und ein kleiner Zoo hinzugefügt, deren Standort jedoch unangemessen ist und den europäischen Stil des gesamten Parks zerstört. Die Qualität des Frühstücks und des Abendbuffets ist nicht optimal, aber die Umgebung und der Geschmack des japanischen Essens und des chinesischen Restaurants sind in Ordnung.

İ wanted to order room service after 20.30 they told me no english and hung up on my face. After 10 mins 2 people came to my room telling me they dont have room service, after 20.30 even though the menu said 24 hours.
The next day i tried to order at 16.00 and they told me it starts at 18.30…
the design and the quality of the hotel is maybe the best ive seen in my life but the service is 0/10 … no cola to drink no food to eat .. i would not reccomend if you want to spend a lot of time in it.

Drittens sind alle Mitarbeiter vom Rezeptionsbüro über die Rezeption bis zum Zimmerservice sehr, sehr höflich und professionell.
Auf dem vierten Bild ging ich am nächsten Morgen nach unten, um zu frühstücken, und alle wichtigen Kosmetika waren ordentlich platziert. Einen solchen Zimmerservice habe ich schon lange nicht mehr erlebt in Zimmer 3211 und musste meiner Tante Hähnchenkeulen hinzufügen 🍗
