I stayed at the novotel ipswich centre on the 8th July. I was very impressed with the communal areas and especially so the room for the price spacious and interior decor was very nice. Bathroom ceiling above the shower needed some attention but didn't impact our stay. Staff were friendly and breakfast was plentiful and varied options for all. That said I forgot my phone charger when packing which I left in the room. I tried contacting the hotel on the 9th which was date of departure when I realised but no answer left a message but no one responded. I emailed again no response I tried calling again on the 11th and the receptionist told me that they were having a meeting with housekeeping at 12 and someone would call me back. No one did so I called again and was told nothing had been found. Whilst I expect the housekeeping that enter rooms are honest and properly vetted I don't just expect that to be whilst I'm staying I also expect it if I inadvertently leave something behind. This shouldn't be an opportunity for cleaner's to help themselves. Luckily it was only a charger but is easy done this will definitely make me think again when looking for hotel accommodation in the future very disappointing

Eine sehr feuchte kalte Nacht nach einem besetzten Tag war es schön, von einem freundlichen und informativen Empfänger begrüßt zu werden. Eine Nacht Aufenthalt Zimmer mit kleinem Balkon über den Golfplatz und einem unglaublichen Heizungsapparat. Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist niedrig, aber Wasser heiß Die Zimmer fühlen, sie würden von der Aktualisierung einige ******* profitieren. *TV Fernseher nicht ausschalten musste nach oben und Pop Hand hinter dem Socket ausschalten. **Die Haare auf dem Bad definitiv nicht mein! **Kein offensichtlicher Haartrockner. ***Zimmerservice zweimal extn nicht beantwortet ging über Empfang übertragen auf die Bar Salmon Creme Käse auf braun bestellt schnell auf weißem Brot angekommen. Pink G&T lecker. Frühstück. Warm willkommen und Erklärung von Team angeboten. Die große Vielfalt und das heiße Essen war heiß. **** Das Team kurz am Bar könnte vielleicht anderswo durchgeführt werden. Checkout schmerzlos.

A great weekend in every respect, a beautiful room overlooking the water meadows, friendly polite staff, exceptionally good breakfasts and top quality well kept beers, and friends turning up out of the blue, views of Constables Landscapes nearby.

Bleib hier regelmäßig mit Arbeit und die Lage ist großartig, 5 Minuten vom A14 und 10 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum. Großer kostenfreier Parkplatz, aber Sie müssen sich bei der Anmeldung anmelden, schnelle Service an der Rezeption mit einem großen Zimmer, das Sie von der Holiday Inn erwarten würden. Der Pool, Sauna und Jacuzzi sind jetzt alle verfügbar. Restaurant ist eine angemessene Größe mit einem menü und sie haben auch BT, die Fußball zeigt, wenn es auf, Frühstück ist Selbstservice mit einer großen Auswahl.

The room we had was amazing, it was a very large room and bathroom. It was clean but looked a bit dated. Couldn't sign in automatically had to wait for a member of staff, this was a bit of a pain. Breakfast was not great, was asked what type of egg we wanted, this was a nice touch, but the bacon and sausage were certainly overcooked, the apple juice had a very odd taste. A new drinks machine is needed as they t takes so long to make a drink. Overall the room was really good, breakfast let it down.

The Hatfield enjoys a special location looking out to the North Sea and Lowestoft’s unusual seagull hotels and providing a cheery welcome. Unfortunately first impressions were soon to be revised when we found ourselves in first floor bedroom 117 with windows closed, afternoon sun and radiator on full blast and a view obscured by opaque glazing to the lower half of our windows. Windows having been left widely open, we returned to our room later in the evening to a clearer understanding of our further fate, the kitchen ventilation system in the bin yard immediately below us noisily blowing greasy fumes directly into our room. We sought to move and were willingly offered an alternative in the Hotel’s Lodge across the road. The dank smell that greeted our entry did not bode well but our bedroom proved spacious and inviting. That is until we put facilities to use to discover a bath that creaked, a shower head that was uncontrollable, beds that were anything but comfortable and long curtains that were bedraggled and dirty. Nor was our disappointment to end there, our evening meal that began with fine starters continued with mains that for one was ridiculously piled high and for the other badly overcooked. We were unable to finish but offered alternatives by sympathetic staff. For all that was wrong, the public areas of the hotel provide a pleasing environment, staff were generally friendly and our breakfast was a delight, freshly cooked directly from the kitchen to the highest standard. It’s a hotel that would do well to match its other areas to the same standard.

Großer Preis für einen tollen Platz. Unser Zimmer war spotless. Die Rezeption ist im Restaurant, so sicher zu bekommen, was Sie wollen, bevor sie um 11 Uhr schließen.

This was a lovely place to stay right in the harbour. We stayed with 3 other couples. We didn't have the most expensive rooms but each were spacious and clean with a view of the harbour. The reception area was amazing, glass walled also with views of the harbour to watch the world go by. The staff were curtious and very helpful to our group, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast came with a large choice, tasty and served in a nice dining area. Onsite parking is reasonably priced with a first come first serve basis. We were lucky with 2 cars but there is an overflow site not far away. Over all, I highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely return. Thanks you everyone.

have just returned from spending three nights at this wonderfull hotel,having not been hear before my wife and i were wondering what to expect but the minute we turned into the drive this has been the best hotel we have ever stayed at.The first person we met was Poppy at reception who was loverly and could not do enough for us.but she was the blue print for every member of staff as nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile.Now they say it starts from the top and how right they are .Peter the manager and his wife Abi have turned this wondrfull hotel into one of suffolks jewels,Peter could not do enough for us and went out of his way to make shore our stay was the best it could be,but having watched him he was the same for everybody and led by example by being hands on in all departments .Thankyou Peter for helping us have such a relaxing stay.I have mentoined a few of the staff but people i did not meat must get a mention as the food for our meals was also 5 star so a big thankyou to the cheffs and all the staff that work in the kitchen.enough of our stay if you are looking for a relaxing break in a beutiful home with staff that cant do enough for you and get food to die for this is the place look no further.

Es war hervorragend. In der Mitte einer Wärmewelle hatten wir ein extrem cooles Zimmer, das keine Fans brauchte. Wir sind mehr als glücklich, dort einen weiteren Pauschal zu haben

We stayed here for two nights for my wife’s birthday. We have been here several times before but the last time many years ago. Room was lovely. A heritage room in the wool Hall end of the hotel. Lovely size. Fully equipped with tea and coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. TV and desk. En-suite bathroom and shower and a built in wardrobe. Huge bed and a sofa and chair along with a coffee table. If you do stay here you are entitled to two hours a day free in the spa. If that’s your thing. We sat in the airman’s bar at lunch time on the first day. We hadn’t eaten so we had sandwiches as a light lunch. My wife had salmon with whipped cream cheese and I had a Ruben, both served with crisps and a side salad. All very nice. The barman Dave is a real find. Very good at his job and very knowledgeable. An excellent asset to the hotel. A real treat for us was honey roast chilli nuts on the bar. We ate far too many but they are very moreish. The only let down was the Gallery restaurant menu. Not a great selection of food. My wife didnt really fancy any of it and I wasn’t bowled over with enthusiasm so unfortunately we didn’t eat in there which was disappointing as we were looking forward to it. We had breakfast served in our room in the morning. There is an extra charge for this so be aware. Breakfast was wonderful. Fill in the menu at night, it’s picked up by the night shift and delivered at your chosen time. Food was really good. Full cooked English breakfast, cereals and juices. Tea and coffee, toast and preserves. All hot food was hot and all very fresh. Our stay was very relaxing and we really enjoyed the experience. The only down side was the restaurant menu. Sadly not our taste at all and we do eat out a lot so maybe a wider selection needed.
