The Grand Hotel is north of North Pier and is a huge hotel with many rooms facing the sea, and a spa, pool and gym. We stayed there for 4 nights and walked everywhere (including to South Pier and the Pleasure Beach), so the location was good for us. The hotel itself is nice and the rooms were spacious with an amazing view towards the Tower and North Pier. The pool, sauna, steam room were great, and cost only £2 per person. All staff we encountered were friendly. We would stay here again.

Auf den Ankunftsbechern waren sehr schmutzig und klebrige Toilette sah nicht aus, als ob es richtig gereinigt wurde Nachtmanager musste es für uns selbst reinigen, was er getan hat, aber das sollte nicht zuerst geschehen, auch ich verstehe Feuertüren müssen sein Halten geschlossen, aber sollte am Morgen offen sein, da ich kontinuierlich für etwa 3 Stunden wach war nicht glücklich überhaupt uns ein kostenloses Getränk keine andere Ausgleichsangebot keine glückliche Kunden 😡😡😡

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. I have stayed here a few times and in general had a pleasant stay. I booked last minute for a Saturday night and I was very disappointed to find a party going on until 12.00. T he music was pretty loud and I had booked a double but was given a twin. I feel that when booking I should have been told there was a disco on and I could have booked elsewhere. On a positive note I appreciate the free parking.

Das Hotelzimmer hatte nicht genug Speicher für die drei unserer Kleidung. Die Handtücher wurden nicht jeden Tag ersetzt, der ich sehr arme finde. Auch war auf einem der Handtücher ein Marke und meine Mutter fand es tatsächlich aufgerollt und wieder in die Lagerung im Badezimmer. Das war extrem schlecht. Das Personal war wirklich nett und freundlich. Ich fand das Hotel sauber. Allerdings, aufgrund der Wärmewelle und des Fehlens sauberer Handtücher finde ich diesen wirklich schlechten Service. Das Frühstück hatte eine gute Variante und war schön. Es war auch nahe Südpier, aber wirklich gut gelegen.

We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff. When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard. Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub. Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel, umgeben von Holzhütten und Villen. Es verfügt über zwei Zimmer, zwei Badezimmer, ein Doppelbett und zwei Einzelbetten. Das Wohnzimmer ist geräumig und hat ein Schlafsofa, das wir drei aber gar nicht benutzt haben. Es gibt reichlich Geschirr, alles sauber und ordentlich. Ich habe eine halbe Stunde lang in einem Topf gekocht. Zum Frühstück gab es Hirsebrei und Instantnudeln, die ich mitgebracht hatte! Perfekt für Familienausflüge!

Absolutely fabulous weekend break set in beautiful surroundings, peaceful and we loved the wildlife. The staff were friendly and very informative and available for anything we needed. The food was lovely and everything very reasonably priced. We will definitely be booking another stay.

Easy to find. Parking a short distance from entrance. If you are in anyway disabled you can drop off my main entrance but cannot park. There is no lift in the hotel so if disabled you are going to need to ask for a ground floor room. I didn't know there was no lift so they had to quickly change my top floor room to ground floor room. They did this effortlessly despite being fully booked. The room smelt unpleasant so I kept window open and used air freshener. There was no remote for the TV and when they found a spare remote, the TV didn't work. They brought in a second TV and the manager was a hilarious man who made me roar with laughter as he tried to resolve the issues. The food was good. I stayed two days. I would come back.

Für eine Nacht reserviert und aufgrund der Umstände endete die Eincheckung auf 3 aufeinanderfolgenden Nächte. Als Lady-Solo-Reisefahrer fühlte ich mich hier so sicher und ganz einfach. Leider hatte ich keine Schwimmkleide mit mir, um ihre Einrichtungen zu nutzen. Parkplatz ist schön und nahe dem Hotel. Das ganze Hotel ohne Spott und Betten ist ein Komfort, in dem ich während der Reise schon schlafen habe. Frühstück, Ladungen der Wahl & obwohl der Buffetstil ist alles sehr frisch. Personal sehr freundlich und nichts zu viel Problem. Super die Bar serviert frisches Essen bis spät, wie ich später auf alle Nächte eincheckte. Wenn ich im Bereich bin, würde ich gerne hier wieder bleiben und glücklich anderen Reisenden empfehlen 😊
