This boutique hotel is conveniently located in the old City. The hotel staff are very friendly and even fetched us from the train station. Hotel room is spacious and comfortable. I accidentally dropped a ring in the lobby and the staff picked up and returned to me. Very pleasant staff and highly recommended.

We took a 23-day trip through China, staying in 9 different hotels. Without hesitation, I can say that our stay at Floral stood out in many ways. First, the hotel's structure is very beautiful and has been renovated while staying true to the traditional style of the region. The hotel room itself was probably the most beautiful we had seen on our entire trip: spacious, with windows that actually opened, good air conditioning, and modern decor and furniture without being over the top. Second, the hotel's location is within the boundaries of the city wall and is part of the old town, so beautiful to walk around and see the traditional houses - many of them renovated according to the traditional style. And third and most importantly, the kindness of the people who work at the hotel. I have never felt so welcome anywhere on holiday as at this place. Unfortunately, I arrived with health problems and needed antibiotics - equivalents of the ones I had brought from Europe. I asked the reception where I could find the closest pharmacy, but rather than guiding me there, Xiao Liu, the lady at the reception, figured out for me which antibiotic would be the right one and got it for me. The same when we needed a suitcase, rather than sending me to the shop she inquired about our desired suitcase and in one hour it was there. Drinks are complementary at any time of the day, and the breakfast (Chinese and international - sandwiches) was generous and unlimited. When we were running late coming back from the grottoes and needed to catch a train, Xiao Liu helped us out by bringing us all our suitcases directly to the train station. We will never forget all these acts of kindness and we are still grateful to her and the entire hotel staff for making us feel so much at home. Datong will stay in our minds and hearts forever thanks to the people of the Floral hotel. Datong is special enough for all the incredible cultural sights you can visit - but our stay there will never be forgotten thanks to the beauty of the Floral Hotel and its amazing people. Der Service war aufmerksam und herzlich – einfach ausgezeichnet. Das Hotelinterieur versprüht ein klassisches, antikes Flair. Die Zimmer waren sauber, ordentlich und komfortabel. Die Heizung funktionierte im frühen Winter sehr gut und sorgte für angenehme Wärme, teilweise sogar etwas zu warm. Die Klimaanlage und die Belüftung waren jedoch ausreichend, um die individuelle Temperaturvorliebe zu erfüllen, was ein Pluspunkt war. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend: Nach einem 10-minütigen Spaziergang, wenn man vom Hoteleingang rechts abbiegt, erreicht man den Trommelturm. So lässt sich die Altstadt bequem erkunden und Restaurants besuchen. Obwohl ich ein günstigeres Zimmer gebucht hatte, das nicht besonders geräumig war, war es ausreichend. Angesichts der Lage, des Preises, des Komforts und des Services war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr gut, was lobenswert ist.

Best is that they provide pick-up and drop-off at HSR station, just make a call 3 hours in advance. I dont have local number, so I email them in advance before my trip, they replied my email and provide me their WeChat number so I can make reservation for the pick-up service at the station. Many local tours have pick-up and drop-off service near the hotel (junction outside the hotel), easy and convenient. Services: warm and welcoming services. Tea and drinks in the lobby, luggage storage as well. Room: clean big room, big screen TV, mini bar fridge, bathrobe and comfy king bed. Lavender shower shampoo, hand soap and body lotion, make me feel so so much relax. Laundry: laundry machine are free of charge (washer and dryer). Laundry room provide ironing equipment, books, drink as well. Definitely not get bored. Otherwise, can use phone connect their website to make a reminder while the laundry have done (so convenient). Gym Room: just opposite and same level of laundry room. Treadmill are so new. Breakfast: varieties of choice. Before that I already crave for coffee since it is not so common to find espresso in the local breakfast restaurant. Salad bar, local meatball soup, noodles, dumplings, wantons, boiled egg, fried egg, fried tomato with egg and local cooked food. So many choice and so satisfying. However they dont have egg omelette, it is fine for me. I found that even though not staying at LinFen city centre, it is still fine to stay here as the traffic here is convenient. And here is more quiet and more relax👍 The only thing I dont like is, some customer smoking in the lift and hotel lobby (even though there is a sign in the lift to advice not to smoke), definitely affecting those unlike smoking smell and sick of cigarette smell like me.

Ich dachte, es wären Mücken, aber sie jucken und schmerzen immer noch. Erfahrungsgemäß sollten sie das tun von Flöhen gebissen werden. Ich hoffe, dass das B&B das ernst nimmt. Umgebung: Die Lage in der antiken Stadt ist sehr gut, die Tür ist unauffällig und das Frühstück ist sauber und lecker. Service: Nachdem ich WeChat in der Anfangsphase hinzugefügt hatte, kam die Antwort nicht sehr zeitnah. Später, als ich im B&B ankam, konnte ich meine Zweifel zerstreuen. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr begeistert und forderte rechtzeitig ein Taxi. Im Moment mache ich mir nur Sorgen, Flöhe nach Hause zu bringen. 😰

Brilliant hotel and a great place to stay. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the location was perfect — tucked away on a quiet little road, away from the busy side of the city, but still with plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff were incredibly helpful and thoughtful throughout our stay, and the whole area felt very safe. The free welcome snacks were a lovely touch too. Really good value for money, but what stood out most was how comfortable and welcoming the place felt. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. Would definitely stay again!
