View was more than spectacular..recommend booking a lake view room, was able to sleep with the window open and the view of the lake all day and night was breathtaking.. food in restaurant so/so, easy walk into town to find everything you need

Ich hatte ein sehr komfortables Appartement, ein gutes Bett und eine sehr gute Ausstattung, tolle, kräftige Dusche. Die Fenster können nicht geöffnet werden, aber auch für anspruchsvolle Frischluftfans ( Ich ), war die Luftqualität ohne Beanstandung ! Nach Queenstown ca. 6 KM. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

Doubletree war eine Last-Minute-Entscheidung, als wir von Mount Cook in Queenstown ankamen. Obwohl es teuer ist, bereue ich es nicht, hier für zwei Nächte ein Zimmer genommen zu haben. Es hatte eine voll ausgestattete Küchenzeile, in der man kochen konnte, die wir aber nicht nutzten, da wir auswärts gegessen haben. Ein Ärgernis, das ich nicht verstehe, ist die Notwendigkeit, für das Parken vor Ort zu zahlen (16 NZD pro Nacht). Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze und für Gäste, die mit dem Auto anreisen, sollten diese für die Dauer des Aufenthalts kostenlos sein. Die Lage ist außerhalb von Queenstown, aber ein Wassertaxi ist vom Hoteldock aus verfügbar. Empfehlenswert wegen der Umgebung und des fantastischen Zimmers, aber 3 Sterne für die Einrichtungen, da für das Parken bezahlt werden muss. Die Lage am See ermöglicht Ruhe und Frieden und auch Begegnungen mit Wildtieren. Das Personal an der Rezeption war beim Einchecken ebenfalls sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit.

The ambiance of this place was quite unique, with dim lighting and not many electric lights, which gave it a rustic charm. One of the highlights was the ability to cook meals, which added a nice touch of convenience. Plus, there are plenty of shops nearby where you can easily pick up groceries or essentials.

Obwohl es ein Autohotel ist, ist die Küche sauber, es gibt keine Tankstelle und der Kisten kann verwendet werden. Unsere Zimmer sind nicht überfüllt, vier Menschen leben nicht überfüllt, die Umgebung ist bequem und sieht die Pingviin sehr nahe. Es gibt viele Lebensmittelgeschäfte für etwa zehn Minuten zu Fuß. Die Rezeption ist chinesisch und die Kommunikation ist ohne Hindernisse.

Wir haben dieses Hotel gewählt, weil wir erwartet hatten, dass wir seine Weinberge/Essen genießen. Andernfalls hätten wir in Queenstown mit vielen Restaurants und pubs verblieben werden. Als wir am frühen Abend ankommen würden, setzen wir eine Notiz für unsere Hoffnung auf die Erlebnis ihrer Weinbau- und Lebensmittel (oder zumindest Fingerfutter) beim Hotelbuchen und erhalten E-Mail, dass sie nicht garantieren können, sondern werden ihr Bestes tun, um unseren Bedarf zu dienen. Seitdem wurde uns keine E-Mail geschickt. Als wir um 6 Uhr im Hotel angekommen waren, war niemand im Informationsdesk, so mussten wir zum Bistro gehen, um herauszufinden, dass sie den Schlüssel in einem sicheren Kästchen ohne Anzeige verlassen oder uns mit seinem Passwort eine E-Mail schicken. Wir mussten eine Weile warten, bis die Bistro-Lady einen Anruf macht, den sie besorgt, was nichts war. Schlimmer noch, wir hörten, dass ihr Bistro für eine Gruppenveranstaltung vorbehalten war, so dass wir überhaupt nicht die Anlage nutzen konnten. Wir mussten 15 Minuten nach einer nahe gelegenen Stadt fahren und Lebensmittel aus einem Supermarkt kaufen. Ich denke, das Hotel hätte uns von der Unmöglichkeit der Bistro-/Food-Service aufgrund der Gruppenveranstaltung informiert haben und wir müssen für unsere Lebensmittel vorbereiten. Als ich mich gefragt habe, habe ich einen Hinweis auf die Themen hinterlassen und erwartet, dass sie mir eine E-Mail schicken, um ihre ehrliche Entschuldigung auszudrücken. Leider ist bislang nichts passiert. Obwohl ich das Zimmer und den ganzen Ort sehr gefallen, denke ich, Kinross Cottage braucht Professionalität, um ihr Aufenthaltsprogramm zu führen. Es hätte viel schöner, erinnerlich Aufenthaltserfahrung gewesen sein können.

Sauber, neu und sehr geräumig. Die Aussicht vom Fenster ist wunderbar, man kann einen Kaffee neben dem Fenster trinken … Waschmaschine und Geschirrspüler sind neu und funktionell. Werde in Zukunft wiederkommen

The room was very spacious and had great natural lighting, which I really appreciated. It felt comfortable during the day and overall the space itself was quite nice. However, the WiFi was extremely poor. Even basic social media would keep buffering, and trying to watch a show at night was almost impossible — it would pause every couple of minutes. Since there’s not much to do around in the evening, this was pretty frustrating. Another thing that felt a bit uncomfortable was the mirror placement next to the bed upstairs. It’s not directly facing the bed, but if you turn to the side, you’re basically looking straight into it. I know this might not bother everyone, but in some cultures (like feng shui), having a mirror facing the bed is considered bad for sleep and overall comfort, so it felt a bit odd to me. The bathroom was also a bit annoying — the fan automatically turns on with the light and can’t be switched off separately. It was quite loud, so even using the bathroom felt uncomfortable after a while. Parking space was decent in size, but getting out was inconvenient. I had to reverse multiple times because the space behind wasn’t very wide. Overall, the room itself is nice, but the WiFi and some layout details could really use improvement.

The room was very spacious and offered a nice view, which was a highlight of the stay. Free parking was also convenient for guests travelling by car. However, the property feels quite dated and could benefit from refurbishment. The cleanliness of the room was below expectations, with some areas not as well maintained as they should be. Another downside was the shower pressure, which was very weak and made showering less enjoyable. The hotel is within walking distance of Queenstown City Centre, but the walk is a bit longer than expected, especially when returning uphill.

Where do I start - from arriving until leaving we had the most amazing stay here. We had a family room which was so spacious - the beds were huge and it’s cosy! The blowout curtains had us sleeping in more than it should’ve 😆 We had breakfast with our stay and it did not dissapoint there was such a selection from savoury to sweet and more! Love it coffee and juices included just amazing The gym was so well equipped mlre than I’d expect so was pleasantly surprised and the equipment was all up to scratch and working smoothly The spa was beautiful 🤩 The sauna was also good but it wasn’t as hot as would usually expect It would be amazing if the bigger pool was heated so more ppl could enjoy swimming around together but it wasn’t like a cold plunge perfect for those who enjoy it after a sauna The location is beautiful right near town a little walk away and parking was well priced and easy enough to organise Thanks so much for having myself and my family It made our stay that much more memorable
