Der lächelnde Willkommen ist der Ausgangspunkt, Zimmer sind sehr gut renoviert, Badewanne, Zimmerschuhe, exzellente Körperprodukte, alles ist sehr gut organisiert. Das Kloster ist in der Mitte von Nure, Schweigen, Natur und Entspannung sind die perfekten Zutaten für einen guten Aufenthalt. Der Spa und die 2 Schwimmbads inne und außen sind sehr schön und sauber. Das Frühstück ist großartig. Ein Ort zu sein!!!!!

This place by far is the best Parador of Spain. Its like visiting a historic site and sleeping there. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and comfortable . The bathroom is like a mini apartment. The parador has several lounges and a wonderful restaurant. Breakfast is served cold buffet and hot from the menu, just fantastic. The place even has a cloister. Parking is located around the back which does have an entrance to reception. The parador is a bite away from the historic part of town, take a taxi.

Es ist eines der schönsten Hotels, die ich erleben durfte: super Lage, stilvoll renoviertes Kloster mit bestem Frühstück. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotel. Im Zimmer frische Blumen, viele wichtige Kleinigkeiten, die das Besondere ausmachen.

This is a nice hotel & I enjoyed the stay, though my room was a disappointment. But first the good points. The location is terrific, in the very heart of the city, I always felt like every point of interest was just a hop & a skip away. Conversely, it is tucked away in a quiet back street, making for peaceful sleep. My check-in experience was top notch, the young lady on reception at the time was helpful, friendly & switched on. She also gave fabulous restaurant recommendations. The highly rated, fine dining restaurant, Villena, was closed during my stay & the hotel was only offering light bites. As a consequence, I didn’t dine in-house. I found the bar a rather soulless place so didn’t drink there either. I had booked a Superior Double Room, which looked very alluring on various booking platforms, including the hotels website. The allocated room didn’t remotely resemble the photographs (which show a very desirable looking semi circle window overlooking the Esmera Valley). Instead, my room had 2 small, shoulder height windows, & was dreary & featureless. I decided against complaining as I was only staying one night, plus, I checked-in very early & was thankful a room was immediately available (I was told it was a different room to the one originally allocated due to my early arrival, but the same category). I didn’t like the room, but to be fair, it wasn’t a bad room, it just wasn’t as advertised, so more a case of unfulfilled expectations. A recent TA reviewer also alludes to this issue… Actually the bathroom was very nice, good products, & a terrific shower. It also had a bath, but this still had the sticky residue left on, across the entire length of the bath, from what I assume was a protective coating, in place at purchase. Unfortunately it had the appearance of scum & as such I didn’t want to use the bath. I’m staggered management haven’t seen fit to get this seen to, it looks disgusting. The hotel hails itself the first 5 star in Segovia but it doesn’t feel 5 star. For example, the in-room. coffee/tea cups are paper, the ‘spoons’ a wooden stirrer, a la McDonalds. To conclude, it’s a pleasant hotel, & with a few tweaks could be very good. On price/quality ratio it’s doing a decent job ...... but be sure to get the room you think you’re getting.

Ich habe dieses Hotel mit der Bonvoi-App ausgewählt, als ich von Lissabon nach München fahren wollte. Ich hatte etwas niedrige Erwartungen, aber es scheint ein sehr guter Aufenthalt zu sein. Ich mag den Stil des Hotels. Das Zimmer war im zweiten Stock. Das Bett war komfortabel, das Zimmer war im Allgemeinen sehr sauber und ruhig. Ich war so müde und ich hatte einen guten Schlaf. Meine einzige kleine Beschwerde ist, dass die Restaurantöffnungszeiten recht spät waren und es nichts zu essen war um 18:00 Uhr, außer Zimmerservice. Nachdem ich eine Weile wartete, wurde mir ein Hamburger vom Zimmerservice-Menü angeboten, das war übrigens sehr gut. Allerdings würde ich lieber ein anständiges Essen im Restaurant haben, wenn es früher geöffnet war. Frühstück war sehr gut.

We grabbed four nights here on something of a whim and built an enjoyable and informative northern Spain trip around our stay at the Hacienda. The bones of this splendid property are a 14th century monastery where Columbus – along with academics from the nearby Salamanca University and representatives of the royalty -- met to finalize his trip to the New World and hand over the check to make it possible. (I do not hold this against the present owners.) The exquisite renovation is even more astonishing after viewing photos of the sad state of the buildings in the early 20th century. Architectural brilliance and craftsmanship are evident throughout, from the spacious bedrooms with hand-hewn ceiling timbers to the inviting variety of sitting areas, complete with fireplace, period artwork and comfortable furniture. We ate dinner at the hotel several times, and each was delicious. And of course wine (the Syrah and tempranillo are sourced from their vineyards in the nearby Douro Valley) from the hotel’s own winery is available for tasting and to enjoy at your table. Included breakfast was ordered from a menu and was consistently excellent. I enjoyed a massage in the old stone building that once (and still does!) housed the machinery that regulated water flow into the mill race, which still runs cheerfully under the main building. With a special nod to Pablo, whose knowledge of Spanish history and wines was exceeded only his charm and hospitality, the staff was uniformly helpful and welcoming. This is a place to relax and enjoy the gardens and an exquisite property that has incorporated modern comforts in a beautifully restored 800-year-old piece of history.
