Ausgezeichnete Erfahrung bei Meandros, bei unserer Ankunft haben wir einen sehr angenehme Trink willkommen. Die Lage ist sehr gut nahe dem schönen und sauberen Strand von Kalamaki und nahe dem Zentrum von Kalamaki, der leider am Abend nicht animiert ist, weshalb wir immer anderswo zu bewegen. Die Sauberkeit des guten, aber nicht ausgezeichneten Zimmers, ist darauf hinzuweisen, dass im Badezimmer ein unerfreulicher anhaltender Geruch war. Sehr gute und vielfältige Lebensmittel sowohl beim Frühstück als auch beim Abendessen. Der Mehrwert des Hotels ist das Personal, wirklich kompetente, professionelle, freundliche und freundliche (wir möchten insbesondere Sofia danken).

# Zante Beach Resort Der Urlaub in Zykynthos vom 12. bis 18. Juli ist zu Ende. Noch nie habe ich eine Hotelkritik oder sonst einen Testbericht verfasst. Der Aufenthalt im Zante Beach Resort war vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht zufriedenstellend. Mir wurde das Hotel von einem Bekannten empfohlen, der das Hotel schon mehrere Male gebucht hat und immer sehr zufrieden war. Das Essen sei spitze, der Service Super, die Anlage ein Traum. Voller hoher Erwartungen sind wir also angereist und haben uns auf einen tollen Aufenthalt in Zakynthos gefreut. Wir haben einen Bungalow für etwa 300 € pro Nacht für zwei Personen gebucht. Da dies wegen Corona der einzige Sommerurlaub dieses Jahr sein wird, war für uns der Preis in Ordnung. ## Ort Die Lage des Hotels ist ein Traum, direkt am Strand, zur linken Seite nichts als wunderschöner, unberührter Sandstrand, zur rechten Seite säumen sich Strandbars und Restaurants. Direkt gegenüber des Hotels befindet sich ein Supermarkt. Am Strand vor dem Hotel ist ein Motorboot, SUP und Tretboot Verleih. Das Hotel befindet sich im Süden von Zakynthos, etwa 10 Min zum Flughafen, 5 Minuten zu Covid-19 Teststation, 15 Minuten zum Krankenhaus. ## Personal Das Personal des Hotels ist meist überfordert, die Angestellten an der Rezeption kümmern sich im Rudel um Gäste anstatt die Gäste an den zur Verfügung stehenden Schaltern zu bedienen. Die Bestellung eines Taxis für den Corona Test führt wegen mangelnder Kommunikation seitens der Angestellten zu einem Ausflug zum örtlichen Krankenhaus anstatt zur Test Station. Von den Taxikosten von etwa 2x 20€ abgesehen waren wir etwa 2 Stunden am Telefonieren und Organiseren der Rückfahrt zum Hotel. Die Rezeptionisten wirken etrem unorganisiert und voneinander isoliert. Bei dem Hinweis, dass kein Warmwasser zur Verfügung steht, werde ich nach der Zimmernummer gefragt, obwohl im ganzen Hotel kein Warmwasser zur Verfügung steht, wie ich nachträglich erfahre. Generell sprechen die Angestellten sehr schlecht Englisch. ## Essen, Trinken Das Essen im Hotel kann nicht im Geringsten unseren Erwartungen nachkommen. Die Qualität ist im Großen und Ganzen nicht gut und auf gar keinen Fall den Preis des Zimmers wert. Wir haben das Gefühl, dass nur ein sehr kleiner Teil des Essen selber gekocht wird. Wenn doch, dann sind es Gerichte die im Backofen mit extrem geringen Aufwand zubereitet werden können. Es gibt jeden Tag fast identische Speisen, selbst groß angekündigte Motto-Tage (Italienischer Abend, Mexikanischer Abend) sind anhand des Buffets fast nicht zu erkennen. Die Hauptspeisen, egal ob selbst gekocht oder aufgebacken, haben selten passende Beilagen. Im Ofen aufgebackene Kartoffelecken sind nicht das was wir in der Hauptspeisentheke eines solchen Hotels erwarten. Wir finden nur selten griechische Spezialitäten im Buffet, Supermarkt-Schafskäse und gekauftes Kübel-Zatziki sind nicht von deutscher Supermarkt Qualität zu unterscheiden. We don't understand the negative reviews written about this hotel, we have never stayed anywhere as a family where we felt our happiness was put front and centre like it was here. Due to food allergies and dietary needs communication was established with George the manager before flying, who quickly assured us that as soon as we arrived our needs would be noted and met, and they certainly were! Dinos the chef came out to speak to us every night about meals we could eat or what he could whip up in the kitchen for our daughter, and Esmeralda was extremely helpful in the morning and lunch time slots to make sure we had what was needed both always with a smile and a hello. The food is amazing, the variety was fantastic and nothing was too much, we didn't ask for anything special but I'm now slightly addicted to the fritters Dinos cooked up! If you are a vegan, the food they provided - the burgers, fake chicken, kebabs etc was way better than what is available in the UK supermarkets. They provided dairy free butter and cheese and always showed us the packaging to double check. Grateful to George for the supermarket runs! The hotel is very clean and maintained to a high standard, the majority of the staff are so lovely, polite and welcoming, and learning a few basic greek phrases such as hello and thank you just seemed to make their day. The pool and beach areas are fantastic, even if they were busy it wasn't long before beds became available. Inclusive drinks were good, including the beer. Evening entertainment was brilliant and the social areas outside and the rooftop bar were comfortable and always clean. The town is a short walk down the beach (got lost trying to go down the roads, use the beach to the main ***** then head up). Again this hotel was a fantastic stay, George and his team made us feel like family visiting - and honestly what more could you ask for. N.B. If you are reading this from the UK thinking of booking with TUI - please don't. They were abysmal from start to finish, from check in (one staff member 300 people to check in) to return, TUI were a waste of money, and the days they book you into the hotel make no sense, as a family we had to pay for an extra day as our pick up was 3am and check out was 11am the day before - this is not the Galaxy's fault, but TUIs and they don't listen nor care, Zante airport was full of disgruntled families and travellers from all over Zante 100-200 euros out of pocket because TUI couldn't organise a drink in a brewery. There were no reps around, and the reps available on the app were robotic and the most non empathic people ever communicated with. JET2 were seen at the hotel a few times, book with them. As a family we loved our stay at the Galaxy, George and his team, including Dinos and Esmerelda made our stay an unforgettable one.

Das Zimmer war bei der Ankunft sauber, aber die Reinigung in der Woche, die wir geblieben waren, war sehr getroffen und missen. Es gab keine Tassen im Zimmer, so dass wir ein Paar im lokalen Supermarkt kaufen mussten Zimmer im Untergrund des Hotels sind ziemlich dunkel und gegenüber dem Park, es gibt einige schöne Bäume in einem Gartenbereich vor dem Park. Wir zahlen 7 Euro pro Tag für den Air Con und 3 Euro pro Tag für einen vollen Kühlschrank, der, wie Sie auf vorherigen Bewertungen lesen können, einfach einschalten. Die Steuer war nur 50 Cent pro Nacht als ein 2-Sterne-Hotel. Das Frühstück war Kartons aus Orange oder Apfelsaft, geschnittenes Brot mit Toaster, eine Auswahl von Jam/Honig, Yoghurt, Knoblauch und Käse, Tomaten- und Kuchenschnitte, Maisflaschen, geschnittenen Kuchen, einige Tage gefriertes Brot und einige Tage kochte Eier. Ein sehr elementares Frühstück, und wir haben es geträumt, aber perfekt geeignet. Ich denke, das Hauptproblem, das wir mit diesem Hotel hatten, war der Lärm, die Flugzeuge fliegen viel später in der Nacht und früher am Morgen, als wir uns von unserem vorherigen Besuch in Zante erinnern, um 11:00 Uhr und dann wieder um 5:00 Uhr, Das Hotel hat auch einige Hühner im Rücken, mit einem Truthühner, der jederzeit von 3am bis 6am schwarzt. Leider hatten wir auch einige schrecklich lauten Gäste, die das Hotel mit uns teilen, zurückkehren bei 2am Schlammtüren und schreien die Korridore. (Nicht die Hotels fehlten) Das Pool-Bereich war schön, in ein paar Nachmittags hatte mein Partner und ich den Pool für uns. Wir essen einmal aus der Snackbar und das Essen war gut. Die Lage ist gut mit einem kurzen Spaziergang bis zur Hauptstraße und einem etwas längeren bis zum Strand.

Oh my days, what an absolute little gem this hotel was. Set back from the main area just far enough to be free from any noisy traffic but near enough for a gentle three minute stroll to the shops, bars etc. As with most budget Greek hotels, basic but exceptionally clean and not a scuff or mark anywhere! A small quiet pool with bar which is shared with neighbouring hotel. What impressed me most, apart from Elena's very warm and friendly welcome everyday, was the absolute quietness of the place. I would sit on my balcony overlooking the fields and all I could hear was the occasional distant dog bark and a cock crowing. Delicious bliss in my book and as a frequent visitor to the island, I will definitely return. Thank you Elena x

Just returned from spending 10 nights in this lovely hotel with our daughter and 11 year old grandson. Everything you could wish for on a holiday . Beautiful clean hotel , amazing scenery , lovely pool , less than a minutes walk and you're on the beach. The staff here are a credit to the owners, from Sophia and Mava the two lovely ladies on reception , to Helena ( I've probably spelt her name wrong ) she is absolutely amazing she really engaged with our grandson William everytime she saw him. Cannot fault any staff , from the cleaning ladies , dining room ladies , poolside bar staff anybody else I've forgotten to mention, thank you all for making our holiday special. We will be back.

Wir blieben hier 11 Nächte und waren wirklich glücklich, dass wir diesen Ort wählen. Als wir zuerst dort waren, war ich etwas besorgt über die Nähe der Hauptstraße, aber es hat uns wirklich nicht beeinflusst. Es ist in einer großen zentralen Lage. Die Zimmer sind grundlegend, wie immer in Griechenland, so war das kein Problem, sondern sehr geräumig und gereinigt jeden anderen Tag. Betten verändert, frische Handtücher. Die Küche war ausreichend, ich war überrascht, dass ein Toaster nicht standard war, aber das Hotel liebt mir glücklich eine für die Dauer meines Aufenthalts für das Frühstück für die Kinder. Jeder war sehr freundlich und immer bereit, zu helfen. Das Poolgebiet war gut, vor allem mit dem separaten Kinderpool mit Schleifen. Mein Mann war etwas enttäuscht, dass er Bewertungen und Bilder über einen Pooltisch gesehen hat, wie das jetzt entfernt wurde. Das Bar-/Restaurant-Bereich wurde von einem schönen Team geführt und das Essen, das wir hatten, war schön, wir haben es mehrere Male während unseres Aufenthalts verwendet, von denen eine ihrer griechischen Nacht war und das war verpackt und eine echte gute Nacht. Wir werden defo nach Kalamaki zurückkehren und wieder in die Vanessa kommen.

We have been to Kalamaki many times over the years, and have walked passed the Athina Apartments on our visits, so we took the plunge and booked to stay here for 9 nights from the 8th September. The apartments are ideally located. They literally back onto the main ***** in Kalamaki, and are a few minutes walk from the main Kalamaki beach. We stayed in a top floor room, overlooking the pool. The view was great, and lovelly to wake up to in the morning or to enjoy of an evening before venturing out. Because we faced away from the main *****, we did not hear it at all. The rooms are basic, and could do with a little spruce up, but they are clean and comfortable, so that's what is most important. If you are looking to cook in the room, the cooking facilities consist of 2 hot rings and that's it. There is no oven or even a microwave. So you may struggle. But if like us, the only thing we cooked in the room was some toast for breakfast (yes there is a toaster and a kettle) then its fine. The pool area has been recently installed / renovated. Its is a lovely area, however during our entire stay, we did not see any member of staff tidy up the area at all, not even straighten the sun beds at the end of the day. When we had finished using the beds, we always tidied up after ourselves, and straighten the beds up etc, but not everyone did. So the pool area tends to look very untidy at the end of the day, which is such a shame, as it looks very tranquil in the evening, so it would be nice if it looked neat too :-) There is no lift in the hotel, so if you have struggle walking up flights of stairs, we would suggest opting for a ground floor apartment. However these do open up right onto the pool area so privacy will be a factor. The staff were great, and were always at hand should you need them. Would we stay again? Of course we would! In fact we have already booked to return again next September!!
