Everything was good and ok except that when I arrived to the hotel around 10:00 pm no body was there I had to go next door to the pharmacy to ask if the reception was open or if I had to call someone to check in , the pharmacy employee had to go inside the hotels office to find someone after 15 minutes someone came in

Das Camp liegt außerhalb der offiziellen Wadi Rum Wüste, aber leicht von der Hauptstraße zu erreichen. Tent: sauber und geräumig, hatte alles, was ich brauchte. Die heiße Dusche war erstaunlich. Es war sauber, so sauber wie die Dinge in der Wüste sein können. Ich hatte nur eine Moskito im Zelt, aber vielleicht in anderen Monaten mehr - vorbereitet. Dinner: absolut erstaunlich. Viele tolle Gerichte, Live-Musik, separate Wüste. Ich genossen die Atmosphäre wirklich. Frühstück: nicht so erstaunlich wie Abendessen, aber immer noch absolut ausreichend. Tour: Am ersten Tag hatte ich eine Tour mit einem anderen Unternehmen - es war ok, aber meist die Hauptpunkte - viele andere Menschen dort. Am zweiten Tag reservierte ich direkt eine Tour mit dem Hotel - der Preis war fair und die Spots viel besser als der Tag vor in Wadi Rum. Weitere spektakulär und fast keine Menschen. Absolut erstaunlich. Service: organisierte Transport zum Besucherzentrum, um meinen Bus nach Amman zu fangen und einen fairen Deal mit der Tour. Also wirklich keine Notwendigkeit, in das Dorf Wadi Rum zu kommen, können Sie bessere Punkte direkt aus dem Camp erhalten. Die Bilder sind alle aus der zweiten Tour organisiert durch das Camp.

Shell Luxury Camp is an idyllic oasis set against an otherwise harsh desert landscape. Waking up to sunrise right outside the camp is genuinely breathtaking. The cosy “shell” accommodation delivers a true five-star experience, with exceptionally comfortable bed linens. Service was prompt, staff were attentive, warm, and professional. Hot water availability is limited to specific time frames and was only lukewarm during winter. To their credit, the front desk did remind guests, which helped manage expectations. Although the camp is relatively new, signs of wear and tear are already visible. Broken floor tiles and damaged toilet fixtures detract from the overall experience and should be addressed promptly to maintain the camp’s luxury positioning. The campsite would benefit from improved upkeep. Contrary to the hotel description, reaching the campsite directly by private car is not always possible, especially when roads are covered with sand. Hotel transfer is required. To avoid miscommunication, where language barriers may exist, it would be helpful for the camp to request guests’ vehicle plate number, colour, and model in advance, in addition to sharing live location. The room rate is undeniably steep, but overall, I had a memorable and luxurious desert stay at Shell Luxury Camp.

We stayed here as a family in a bubble tent during our trip to Wadi Rum, and overall we had a very positive experience. The owner, Eid, was genuinely attentive from the very beginning. Shortly after we made the reservation, he contacted us by email and stayed in touch throughout the process. He truly does his best at every stage to make sure his guests are comfortable and satisfied. We really appreciated that level of care and communication. The location of the camp is beautiful and peaceful. Even though the weather was partly cloudy, we were still able to see the stars at night, which was very special. Dinner was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes. The vegetable options were especially delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We also joined a jeep desert tour, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. Our guide (I unfortunately forgot his name) was friendly and made the experience both enjoyable and comfortable. Traveling with two children, we felt safe, relaxed, and well taken care of throughout our stay. I would happily recommend this camp to other families visiting Wadi Rum.

5/5 Service! Exceptional staff and a great stay in Aqaba Everything was great overall during my stay. The team upgraded me for free to a deluxe room with a balcony right at check-in since my initial room wasn't quite ready. The receptionist team was so sweet, and the room service staff were top-tier. I was under the weather with a sore throat, and they thoughtfully brought hot chamomile lemon tea with honey and extra bottled water straight to my room. That level of care is rare! The only drawback was that the showerhead wasn't functioning (only the lower tub spout worked, so washing my hair took a bit of gymnastics!), but everything else in the room was comfortable and clean. Highly recommend for the unmatched hospitality alone!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Hotel Alena in Aqaba. Von dem Moment, als wir ankamen, war das Personal unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie erlaubten uns frühzeitig zu prüfen und sogar uns auf ein geräumigeres Zimmer upgradiert, was eine wunderbare Überraschung war! Die Lage des Hotels ist perfektAlles ist in der Nähe von Spaziergängen, einschließlich Restaurants, Geschäfte und Hauptattraktionen der Stadt. Die Sauberkeit, Komfort und außergewöhnliche Service machten unseren Aufenthalt wirklich genießbar. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel sehr und werden sicherlich bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Aqaba wieder hier bleiben!

It was absolutely a fabulous stay! The camp's location — being slightly away from the main camp area gave me a wonderful sense of privacy and tranquility. The facilities are impressively new and well-maintained, and it is lovely to know that this is a family-run business that also offers tours — it adds such a personal and authentic touch to the whole experience. Amazing service and a wonderful stay! Breakfast and dinner are included, and the food was delicious. The location is beautiful, surrounded by the stunning desert scenery of Wadi Rum. The room was very clean and well equipped with air conditioning and a heater, which made the stay very comfortable. Transportation was also very convenient — the camp provides pick-up and drop-off from Wadi Rum / Jett Bus Station, just contact them in advance. If I visit Wadi Rum again, I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
