The room was disappointing. We booked a small double, but were given an accessible room instead. The sink was tiny and low down for wheelchair access, but uncomfortable for a 6ft 2 in male! No window so felt a bit claustrophobic. Only 1 coffee sachet between 2 of us. Seemed like the roomwas an after thought. We have stayed here many times and this was the worst room we have had.
Bar and breakfast was fine though.

Die Umwelt und die Gesundheit im Hotel sind sehr sauber.
Die Wärme im Zimmer, das Warmwasser und die Wasserkraft sind sehr gut.
Es gibt einen Fußweg in der Nähe des Hotels, der es bequem macht, auf den Berg zu gehen und die Sonne zu sehen 👍🏻

Vor 2 Jahren hier geblieben und absolut liebte es. Beschloss, dieses Wochenende wieder zu stoppen und, wieder, kann es einfach nicht brechen. Großes Essen, freundliches Personal, komfortable saubere Zimmer. Wir nutzen es als Ort, um aus dem größeren Bereich zu gehen und zu erkunden, aber immer Menschen sehen, die natürlich dort für besondere Gelegenheiten oder Geschäftstätigkeit sind.
Was auch immer Ihr Reisen ist, ich kann nicht genug empfehlen.

Needed convenient stopping point from Surrey to Chestefield, one night, for a funeral. Location ideal. Despite proximity to M1 itself, road noise was not excessive. Receptionist was really welcoming; gave me a choccie bar and bottle of water. You can stroll to the services for Mcdonald's or Costa - and WH Smith etc, (if open). . The overall decor is a bit 'tired' but everything was clean, bed fresh, coffee/tea facilities. Would have preferred the radio to be fitted by the bedside not table across the room (!). Freeview TV quite adequate for one night........ Bedroom was huge (guess it would double up as a family room at times) - and possibly I could have taken my dog with me, in which case the extra space was great.
For functionality cannot fault.

Awesome 1 night stay over, used the gym facilities in this occasion and were of an excellent standard all round. As always, cannot praise the staff enough and the beautiful room once again! 10 out of 10 ☺️

Great little hotel right next to the rear exit of the train station, Fiver to park as a guest, pay at reception. Nice european feel style breaky with cheese and ham available as well as the usual continetal buffet. Similar room style to other purple chain. Comfy beds, modern style.

GGastnutzerWir blieben für eine Nacht für eine besondere Gelegenheit. Als wir ankamen, wurde uns gesagt, dass der Spa für eine Veranstaltung geschlossen wurde, die sehr enttäuschend war, als ich dieses Hotel reservierte, weil der Spa & die Nutzung des Pools & Sauna planen. Das sollte zum Zeitpunkt der Buchung bekannt gegeben werden. Das Gebäude und die Grundstücke waren beeindruckend, aber bei der Ankunft war unser beigefügtes Oberzimmer kalt. Die Rezeption setzte auf unserem Ersuchen die Heizung ein, aber dies hätte tun müssen, bevor wir ankamen, da es 8 Grad draußen war. Wir saßen eine Stunde im Zimmer mit unseren Manteln auf, bevor wir einen tragbaren Heizgerät beantragten, weil die Strahlen nur Lukewarm sind. Das Zimmer war nie wirklich warm & als wir von dem Abendessen bei 9.15 zurück kamen, war die Heizung wieder abgeschaltet und wir mussten es wieder abschaltet. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut und die Server waren schön, aber unorganisiert. Wir wollten im Hotelbar ein Getränk haben, aber es war so kalt, dass es leer und nicht komfortabel zu bleiben war. Ich habe gehört, dass mehr als ein Mitarbeiter über das Kalt im Hotel klagen. Was ein sehr angenehmes Aufenthalt gewesen sein könnte, wurde durch das Kalt vernichtet. Leider werden wir nicht zurückkommen.

GGuest UserAn excellent short stay in this B&B situated above a tea room in the village of Bonsall.
Check-in is a small window of 2 hours between 2 and 4 pm but it does state that you can organise late check-in if you are stuck. Best to avoid the area around the Heights of Abraham when traveling in at the weekend as it gets very busy.
We were there just to check out the area for walking and it suited our needs perfectly. The owner greeted us and made sure we settled in and as a bonus, the tea room was still open to allow us to sample their delicious cakes before unpacking. We went to the Kings Head pub for dinner which is a 3-minute walk up the hill and I must say it was a good choice. Another place with great hospitality with a mix of locals and visitors but more importantly good honest grub.
Breakfast was probably one of the best we have ever had at a B&B it was plentiful and there was no compromise on quality, perfect to fuel us for another day on the hills.
Thank you for hosting us and giving us good value for money in an excellent location to explore the Peak District National Park.

GGastnutzerFrom the outside, the hotel makes a charming first impression with its elegant façade, ornate balconies, and a warmly lit lobby that exudes a sense of old-world charm. The check-in process is smooth, and the staff are courteous and eager to help.
The room was clean and spacious, the décor is a bit dated but it adds a character to the place and I like it. The only small issue was, there’s no window only a door to the balcony which is locked and we cannot access it making the room stuffy.
Also, it was difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep due to a noise of exhaust fan in the bathroom throughout the night.
The bed was comfortable and having an iron was a bonus.
Will I stay again? Definitely.

GGastnutzerStayed for two nights in this beautiful country hotel. A very warm welcome on arrival and then shown to a beautiful large room, The Kedleston. It had everything you could wish for and a very comfortable bed. I was staying to visit relatives nearby but it would make an excellent base for exploring the area. Kedleston Hall, National Trust is on the doorstep and a must to visit. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, I didn’t eat in the evenings but the menu looked really good and if breakfast was anything to go on it will be fabulous. I will definitely return to stay and also take my family to the restaurant. Thank you to all your excellent staff for a very enjoyable stay.
