Super Lage mitten in der Stadt. Wir bekamen ein riesiges Familienzimmer statt eines Standardzimmers. Wir waren mit dem Service und dem gesamten Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden. Der Abluftventilator im Badezimmer lässt sich nicht abstellen, daher könnte der Lärm ein Problem sein. Nach einer gründlichen Reinigung wäre er leiser!

But the hotel is looking and feeling tired… it is in much need of total redecoration.
BUT my word it must have once been beautiful.
Maybe don’t google about the third floor being ******* while staying on the third floor!! (We had no incidents but I messed my sleep up with worry!!)

Es ist wirklich ein schöner Aufenthalt in Staycity. Das Studiozimmer ist sauber. Es gibt eine volle Küche und ist sehr bequem zu benutzen. Es gibt ein Waschraum im Erdgeschoss und es ist sehr hilfreich für einen langfristigen Aufenthalt.

Lovely place to visit, central to everything. We requested a room overlooking the lake which we got, and the room was very quiet. No noise for above thankfully. Only downside was the window wouldn’t open and the pillow were too soft (I sound like Goldilocks!). Brekki was lovely, lots of choice. Would defo come again (that was our 2nd visit).

Was für ein tolles Lernen und eine gute Lage. Wenn Sie Liverpool besuchen, ist dies der Ort, wo Sie bleiben. Slap bang im Stadtzentrum mit allem an Ihrem Türsteg. Wird hier wieder bleiben und empfehlen, hier zu bleiben, wie es in jeder Seite der Bar auf war, was es wunderbar wäre, wenn sie Klimaanlage, wie es sehr heiß im Lernen. Allerdings gab es einen tragbaren Fan, der half.

My twin room was large and very quiet, even though the hotel is close to a main railway station. The room also had a great shower. There was also tge facility to leave my luggage for free the next day.
Because of this positive experience, I decided to also have breakfast in the hotel, and that's where I had my issues.
Because I was travelling alone, I was told I could not have a windiw seat as this was for bigger groups (whi never materilaized). I was guven a table that either looked into the kitchen or a big TV screen. I spotted a window seat for solo travellers, but I was told it had not been cleaned. I moved there anyway for a bit of peace during breakfast.
Egg was overcooked, pastries were stale, fruit was either old or unripe. Not a lot of choice for 14 Pounds. So room was excellent, breskfast below average hence overall rating of average.

LLeeExcellent apartment, clean and everything we could need. Stayed here with my son for a dad and lad city break. Location is perfect. Very close to the centre. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to others.

SSqrz_96Großer Aufenthalt im Knowsley. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und es gibt Parkplätze, die einen Bonus ist. Die Zimmer waren im Allgemeinen sauber, aber das Essensbereich hätte sauberer sein können - ein paar Kleider brauchte Reinigung. Das Feueralarm ging Mitte der Nacht aus, wurde aber schnell behandelt. Das Frühstück war OK - eine gute Auswahl an Lebensmitteln, aber die Zutaten waren von geringer Qualität und ziemlich fett. Ich würde hier aber nochmal bleiben, aber ich würde andernorts zum Frühstück gehen.

*The Carpark was full of old furniture from the hotel and empty beer barrier preventing you getting parked,
*The hotel has turned into more of a party venue hotel rather than the beautiful hotel it was when I last came with my daughter 2018.
*tap in the kitchen area in our room only let out hot water and unfortunately the room stunk of what I could only describe as a sewerage smell? Whether the drains needed maintenance I’m not sure but I I just sprayed some deodorant around to help make it not smell quite as bad because I was so tired I didnt want to have to swap rooms.
*There was also no phone to call reception which I found strange and the remote for the tv was missing the back of it.
I put all this bad points down to the fact that when I previously came it was owned by someone who really cared about the maintenance and reputation of the hotel but now I’ve found it’s since been sold it seems the new owner isn’t as bothered and all what the shankley represented before eg, maintenance, luxury, football themed has kind of turned more into a tacky themed hotel and doesn’t feel classy anymore. I’d probably not stay here again as it’s not the same as it was and just the whole feel of hand hotel is different. It’s not the best if you have come with kids as there’s lots of drunken guests in the hotel and it’s noisey but thank goodness it’s a large hotel as you don’t hear the noise from downstairs. We were on level 3.
Our room was lovely and big with a large double bed and 2 twins pushed together, a kitchen area with tea bags and coffee (no biscuits but that didn’t bother us as we had snacks with us
The upsides were-
*Staff were pleasant,
*breakfast was amazing with everything you could possibly as for,
*hotel was mainly quiet on the 3rd floor, room was on the whole clean and had a hair dryer, iron and ironing board with a safe.
* . The bathroom was lovely especially the bath as it was a jacuzzi with a waterfall shower. Everything was clean from what I could see.

Just got back from a quick overnight at Ropewalks Hotel in Liverpool and had to share my thoughts! For just £46 — and let's be real, saved a solid chunk thanks to those Trip.com coins — this little spot delivered way more than I expected for a city break.
The location? **Perfect.** Right in the heart of the Ropewalks district, which means you're steps away from some of the coziest bars, indie eateries, and amazing street art. I came for a quick solo adventure, and being so close to everything made it super easy to explore without wasting time on transport.
I stayed **Monday, August 11 to Tuesday, August 12, 2025** — just one night — and check-in after 3 PM was smooth. No waiting, no hassle. Check-out before 11 AM was equally chill. The room itself was modern, comfy, and spotlessly clean — exactly what I needed. Not five-star fancy, but everything worked, it felt cared for, and I actually got a great night's sleep.
One thing I really appreciated? **The transparency.** The bulk was paid upfront, and I only had to hand over £2.40 on-site — no surprise fees. Plus, knowing Trip.com backs it with a price match and stay guarantee gave me peace of mind.
Loved that I could message or call the hotel directly through the app, and the ”Manage Booking” feature made the whole process feel seamless. Felt like I was in control the whole time.

GGastnutzerErstens blieben wir dort, wo es keine Satz von Drachen oder ein Kleiderschrank gab, konnten nicht die Klimaanlage der 1. Nacht (wurde der nächste Tag sortiert) und schließlich der Lärm von der Straße um 4am wie Bins leer und Waren werden Laden. Das ging schon seit Jahren weiter.
Apart from the above we’d still consider Tune due to its location, price and cleanliness maybe the next time request for a room away from the Main Street.

GGastnutzerDie Lage des Hotels, wo wir hingehen mussten, war ausgezeichnet. Dies umfasst den offenen Top-Bus, Echo Arena, die Stadt mit Pubs, Restaurants, etc. und Transport.
Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nichts war zu viel für sie. Unser Zimmer war spotless. Die Dusche war ein großer Spaziergang mit Shampoo, Klimaanlage und Körperwaschbecken.
Wir werden hier sicherlich nochmal bleiben und es an Freunde und Familie empfehlen.

GGastnutzerWir reservierten Standard-Zimmer und sehr schön. Es war geräumig, neu renoviert und das Badezimmer war groß. Die Rezeption ist in einer Bar und hatte schwer Zeit, von außen zu sehen. Vielleicht kann es sich verbessern, um eine Richtung von außen hinzuzufügen. Im Allgemeinen war das Zimmer gut. Ich habe für Samstag Nacht etwa 99 Euro. Preis kann je nach Datum ändern.

GGastnutzerWhen we arrived, we noticed we had been given a far inferior room than we've ever had before. The view was terrible. There was no fridge which we have always had before and the room looked 'tired'...in need of TLC.
I went to reception to tell them I was not happy. Anyway they did sort it. Gave us another room with a better view and the young girl on reception brought us an old, but working mini fridge.. so it worked out OK in the end ( I need a fridge to put some of my medication in.) Another lady on the desk was very curt when I said there was no fridge and stated....not all rooms automatically have a fridge in them. Sorry but I thought they did.
Whoever makes loose leaf tea in the restaurant needs to learn it is 1 tsp of tea per person and 1 for the pot. In this case 3tsp of tea and not half a teapot full. I kid you not. See pic below. We got a refund for some of the tea, but nit for the cream tea my friend had. My friend had ordered a cream tea and me, just a tea. Yet they brought a pot of tea for 2, which is the wrong etiquette for an order like this. Hence we only got 2 cups out of it, because of the amount of loose tea in there.
I think I have been spoiled by the superior standard of the rooms, when we have stayed before....I just presumed all their rooms would be like this
