Tolles Hotel, aber etwas zu weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Wenn Sie Tourist sind, sollten Sie vielleicht etwas Zentraleres in Betracht ziehen (ca. 40 Minuten mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln vom Zentrum entfernt).

Gute Lage gleich am Bahnhof Gesundbrunnen. Einkaufszentrum gegenüber. Das Zimmer zur Straße war total leise, absolute Sauberkeit, neue und moderne Zimmerausstattung. Einzig das Personal war nur durchschnittlich. Wir sind in Berlin, aber etwas mehr Freundlichkeit am Empfang würde es perfekt machen. Preisleistung war hervorragend.

The location for this hotel is ideal for exploring Berlin by foot or public transport. There are also quite a few attractions nearby or a short walk away and many good restaurants close as well. We had very few interactions with staff as we had no issues during our stay and when we did speak with them they were kind and helpful. First thing we needed was to sort out parking and that was easy because there was free street parking in the evening and on weekends so that was free during our stay. We had a quick check in too. We booked a double room for my wife and I and a single room for her mom. We both had a good amount of space and the rooms have furniture that utilize the space well including a desk, a safe, shelves with built in hangers and plenty of bars and hangers throughout the room to hang your things. There was a small TV, good lighting and some helpful lighting around the headboard. The tempurature control is good in the rooms with a thermostat on the wall that has a power button on top and controls on the front to control the air conditioning or heat. The beds were comfy and the rooms were very quiet at night so we got a good night's rest. The bathroom was small but designed well. The shower had good pressure, plenty of hot water and a good curtain to keep the water in. They provide a shampoo/shower gel combo so you may want to consider bringing your own bath products. If you book a suite you get a mini fridge and kettle but the regular rooms have neither. There are tea stations on even floors that have a nice filtered water dispenser that does hot, cold and room temperature water.

Sauber, ruhig und gute Umgebung

Wir blieben in einem Familienzimmer - aber es war klein - es gab kaum Raum zu bewegen! Ich hatte keine Suite erwartet, aber ich hatte definitiv ein Familienzimmer - nicht ein Doppelzimmer, sondern mit zusätzlichen Betten - vor allem für den Preis! Es war so klein, dass es eine Schiebetür zum Bad hatte, um Raum zu retten, aber (durch Design) es nicht ordnungsgemäß geschlossen, so es gab eine Lücke ganz rund und es nicht geschlossen - also keine Privatsphäre! Das Personal hätte freundlicher sein können. Aber - Frühstück war ausgezeichnet! riesige Vielfalt. Große Lage.

Der Check-in vor Ort gestaltete sich leider etwas umständlich. Zudem sollte man bei einem Aufenthalt im smartments Berlin Karlshorst berücksichtigen, dass es durch die nahegelegene Straßenbahn sowie den S-Bahnhof zu einem erhöhten Geräuschpegel kommt – inklusive regelmäßiger Durchsagen. Bei offenem Fenster ist das Schlafen daher nur mit Ohrstöpseln wirklich angenehm, während es bei geschlossenem Fenster schnell recht warm im Apartment wird. Die Apartments selbst sind funktional und praktisch eingerichtet, was für einen kurzen Aufenthalt durchaus ausreichend ist. Die Betten empfand ich persönlich jedoch als weniger komfortabel. Da in der Umgebung zum Zeitpunkt meines Aufenthalts keine Alternativen verfügbar waren, stellte diese Unterkunft eine gute Ausweichmöglichkeit dar. Für einen zukünftigen Aufenthalt würde ich jedoch eher einen längeren Anfahrtsweg in Kauf nehmen, um mehr Ruhe und Komfort zu genießen.

Ich war nicht sicher, was zu erwarten, wenn ich dieses Hotel reservierte. Durchschnittlich waren die Bewertungen ok, aber es gab einige, die mich ein wenig beunruhigt hatten. Aber nachdem ich hier war, kann ich sicher sagen, dass ich meinen Aufenthalt voll genossen und keine Beschwerden habe. Lage: Ausgezeichnet! Das Hotel liegt nur von der Haupteinkaufsstraße und hat einen guten Zugang zum Transport. Es gibt Geschäfte, Gemüsegeschäfte und Restaurants in der Spazierweite. Bau: Ja, es ist ein älteres Gebäude, aber es ist gut gepflegt. Sicherlich könnte es ein paar Updates verwenden, aber es gab nichts, was ich nicht gefunden falsch. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett war komfortabel. Es gab keine Klimaanlage, aber das ist in den meisten älteren europäischen Hotels erwartet und ein Fan wurde geliefert. Die Dusche war sehr sauber, hatte guten Wasserdruck und gute Temperatur. Ich habe in anderen Bewertungen einige Leute beobachtet, die sich darüber beschweren, dass sie die Schlüssel zu verlassen, wenn sie ausgehen, aber das ist in den meisten älteren Hotels in Europa üblich, wo tatsächliche Schlüssel statt Türkarten verwendet werden. Es ist eigentlich eine gute Sache, weil es verhindert, dass Sie für sie zu verantworten und eine harte Gebühr zu bezahlen, um die Löcher ändern, wenn Sie die Schlüssel verlieren. Dienst: Das war der wahre Gewinner für mich. Jeder war so freundlich zu mir und sehr hilfreich. Ich fühlte mich willkommen und ich schätzte das wirklich. Preis: Der Preis war mit dem Markt wettbewerbsfähig. Es war nicht der billigste, aber nicht teuer. Es bot einen guten Wert für den Preis an. Insgesamt würde ich hier sicher noch einmal bleiben.

I I had an unforgettable hotel experience. When I arrived, I tried to push the door open, but it was locked. There was no doorbell. Just as I was fretting over what to do, three groups of guests who had booked the same hotel tried to enter, but none of them could get in. Then one of the guests noticed a digital keypad and typed in the code from her email, but none of them could get in. Each of our groups tried their codes, but none of them could get in. As we were still fretting, the door suddenly opened, and a guest came out, allowing us all to enter. That guest explained that the hotel had emailed us a ten-digit start code and a four-digit comfort code. You had to enter the start code first, then the comfort code, to open the door. The other guests had both the start code and the comfort code, but my email only contained the comfort code. The kind guest checked my email and confirmed that it contained only the comfort code. He then called the hotel, and they said our reservation had been cancelled because we hadn't paid the city tax. However, I clearly saw on the check-in voucher that the €29.90 check-in fee was payable upon arrival. The staff member on the phone later said they would email us the payment and, after payment, gave us a new start code and comfort code. After payment, we finally got a room. However, upon checking in, I discovered it wasn't the Standard Studio with Balcony we'd booked, but a Standard Studio. I didn't want to call them again to complain about the mistake; I just wanted a comfortable room. The hotel's location is convenient, about a 5-minute walk from S train station, and the room was generally acceptable.

The room is very basic, just a cabinet and bed, not table or chairs in room, it quite far away from the city , need transfer 2 to 3 times train to all the surrounding scence.
