Check in was easy, parking was not a problem. Food in restaurant was more finger food and more like what you’d get in a cinema. I was happy with it but hubby thought otherwise hahaha. We played pool at the lobby which had a pink table. Lots of fun before retiring for our super early flight. Room was ok for short stays. 7-10 mins walk to airport. On the whole was nice.

I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh from 22 February to 26 February 2026 in Room ***. Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly below the service and housekeeping standards expected of the Marriott brand. 1) 22 February 2026 (Check-in) Upon arrival, I immediately noticed several cleanliness issues with my room. The kettle was dusty and visibly dirty, the shower gel was completely empty, there were noticeable stains on the bed sheets, the shower room floor was unclean, and the shower water pressure was extremely poor. I reported these issues to the front desk on the same day. In addition, during the check-in process, the staff did not provide any information about hotel amenities, such as gym operating hours, availability of facilities like the ice machine or microwave, or other services. I only became aware of some of these facilities on my last day during check-out, which was disappointing. 2) 23 February 2026 The shampoo had run out and was not replenished during housekeeping services. I emailed the Front Office Manager regarding both the missing amenities and the ongoing low shower pressure issue. I did not receive any response. 3) 24 February 2026 The situation continued. Coffee and tea bags were not refilled, the stained bed sheets had still not been changed since Day 1 check-in, and both shampoo and conditioner were empty. I called the same Front Office Manager twice, and only shampoo was delivered. I then contacted the front desk twice more to clearly request conditioner, yet incorrect items were delivered again. As a result, the conditioner remained unreplenished for me for 3 consecutive days (22–24 February). 4) 25 February 2026 In the morning, I requested a new toothbrush through the front desk and was told housekeeping would provide one during housekeeping service. When I returned to my room after housekeeping, no toothbrush had been supplied. I later learned that when Trip.com contacted the hotel on my behalf regarding the service lapses, the Operations Manager informed them that everything had been “addressed and settled with me” which was not accurate. While individual staff members made partial attempts to assist, the repeated housekeeping lapses, lack of follow-up, and unresolved maintenance issue reflect systemic operational shortcomings rather than isolated mistakes. Throughout my entire stay (22–26 February), the shower water pressure issue remained unresolved. The hotel’s location is excellent and within walking distance of many major attractions, which helps save on public transport costs. However, good location alone does not compensate for the overall service deficiencies experienced during this stay. As a paying guest, I expected basic cleanliness, consistent replenishment of amenities, and responsive service, especially from a reputable hotel property like Marriott. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met during this stay.

I visited Edinburgh over Easter, which was also my birthday, and had a wonderful stay. Magda was incredibly kind and arranged an early check-in before noon after I confirmed the day before. She also surprised me with balloons and chocolates in my room for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. The staff provided clear information and gave excellent recommendations on places to visit, making my first trip to Edinburgh even more enjoyable. The hotel’s central location was perfect, close to all the main attractions, and the pool was a great bonus. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily visit again.

Der Transport ist bequem. Es gibt viele Busse, die direkt zum Bahnhof und zu anderen wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten fahren. Auch die Einrichtungen im Hotel sind gut, der Service ist auch gut.

I just wanted to follow up regarding the situation we encountered when we arrived. We had booked three double rooms for two nights so that our group could stay together. Unfortunately, we were informed at check-in that one of the rooms had no electricity and couldn’t be used, and one of our friends had to be moved to a different hotel. We completely understand that unexpected issues can sometimes happen. However, since we specifically booked three rooms in the same hotel so our group could stay together, having one of us placed somewhere else has been quite inconvenient for us and has made it more difficult to coordinate our plans during the trip. In addition, the hotel that was arranged for our friend was unfortunately of a much lower standard than the one we originally booked. This was quite surprising for us, especially since we had chosen and paid for your hotel expecting a certain level of comfort and experience for everyone in our group. While we appreciate that your staff tried to find a solution at the time, the overall arrangement has left us feeling rather disappointed with the situation. We hope you can understand why this has been frustrating for our group, and we would really appreciate it if you could let us know whether there is anything that can be done to help make up for the inconvenience caused. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ich war 2 Tage bei Stewart von Heeton Concept und würde mich in der Zukunft absolut gern zurückkehren! Die Wohnung war spotless kein Staub, keine Bettwäsche, frische saubere Bettwäsche und ein schlaues Waschzimmer. Alles war gut gepflegt und für einen wirklich komfortablen Aufenthalt gemacht. Es fühlte sich wirklich wie ein toller Ort, um zu entspannen und zu entspannen. Die einzigen zwei Dinge, die ich als Bereiche für Verbesserung erwähnen würde: die Check-out-Zeit von 10:30 Uhr fühlte sich etwas früh, und ein paar grundlegende Toiletteneinrichtungen wie Zahnpasta, eine Zahnbürste und Slips fehlten. Alles andere wurde geliefert und gut gelagert. Insgesamt ein fantastisches Aufenthalt und sehr empfohlen. Wird sicherlich zurückkehren! 😊

Die Lage ist gut, nehmen Sie den Airlink-Bus Nr. 100 direkt dorthin. Das Frühstück war ok, die Handtücher waren weich und der Service war insgesamt gut. Ich kam gegen 3:00 Uhr morgens an und konnte mein Gepäck an der Rezeption aufbewahren. Mir wurde gesagt, dass der Check-in um 15:00 Uhr sein würde, und ich erhielt gegen 10:00 Uhr eine Nachricht vom Hotel, dass es fertig sei. Der Vorgesetzte des Reinigungspersonals der umliegenden Zimmer reagierte schnell auf die spezifischen Probleme, die die Dame aus Hongkong bezüglich meiner Umgebung angesprochen hatte, und bestätigte persönlich, ob die Probleme gelöst wurden. Was die Einrichtungen und Zimmer des Hotels angeht, könnten sie nicht schlechter sein. Sie sind fast die schlechtesten aller Holiday Inn Express-Hotels, in denen ich in verschiedenen Ländern übernachtet habe. Die Zimmer sind klein und die Möbel alt. Das große Bett, das ich angefordert hatte, war nicht verfügbar und wenn ich mich umdrehte, könnte ich aus dem Einzelbett fallen. Die Teppiche in der Lobby und den Fluren waren voller Wasserflecken, was ich persönlich ziemlich ekelhaft fand. Ich frage mich, ob die Hotelzentrale in die Reparatur und Modernisierung der Ausstattung des Hotels investiert hat. Wenn nicht, möchte ich mich für einen besseren Service für die Gäste und eine bessere Aufrechterhaltung des allgemeinen Rufs des Holiday Inn einsetzen.

Die Zimmer und Badezimmer im Hotel sind wirklich winzig, man konnte den Koffer nicht einmal ganz öffnen, sondern musste ihn unter das Bett schieben. Die Aussicht vom Zimmer war jedoch ganz in Ordnung. Der große Vorteil ist die hervorragende Lage des Hotels, direkt gegenüber von Haymarket. Man kann von dort aus alles zu Fuß erreichen, was sehr praktisch ist, und es gibt auch eine Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür. Das Hotelfrühstück war eher durchschnittlich, es gab wenig Auswahl. Ein typisch englisches Frühstück, es war okay. Der Empfangsservice war auch nur mittelmäßig, besonders der männliche Rezeptionist gab mir die falsche Zimmernummer – obwohl sie auf dem Beleg stand, nannte er mir eine andere. Selbst nach zweimaliger Nachfrage war es immer noch falsch. Er wirkte, als hätte er keine Lust zu reden.

Reinigkeit und Lage sind nicht die beste, aber ich denke, es ist ein Niveau, das für den Preis zufriedenstellend ist. Beim Einchecken war es etwas schämlich, im Gegensatz zu den Informationen, die auf dem Schlüssel-Box-Passwort angekündigt wurden, so konnte ich Hilfe von der Mitarbeiter, aber es war ein bisschen unaufsichtig.
