Out of all the five star hotels I could have stayed in this was the one that I chose. The hotel itself is located perfectly. The staff pleasant until it came to pay my bill. As a result of my having a sleepless night my first night as a result of some fan problem in my bathroom they suggested I move my room despite me saying that I would move hotels if they could give me earplugs. They offered me use of an executive lounge that I didn’t want and chose to give me another room. The second room was actually a room adjoined to another room which had a couple in it that might as well have been in my room. I asked to move again. They then said they would give me an upgrade which I didn’t want as I had thought that a five star hotel would at least reimburse at least one of the nights. They gave me an upgrade which was nice. I had packed up twice in my four day stay and had three different rooms. The last night the electricity blew in my room so I was in total darkness at ten at night and had to wait for the maintenance to come and fix my problem. I received my bill with the money for four nights automatically deducted. When I went to ask I was met by a very rude man at reception who plainly said ‘this is the money you need to pay’. No manners. No interest. No conversation. I would not recommend this hotel as it shows it is all about the money and nothing to do with client satisfaction or service. Disappointing.

i was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, the rooms were very nice, the toiletries top notch not only for Israel but for worldwide, the porch of our was extra large with a beautiful view and very comfortable lounging chairs and ottoman, the complimentary wine in the room was delicious, housekeeping was very on top of their job and room was very clean. the food was my biggest surprise, what a huge variety, and how tasteful, both in presentation, but most importantly in taste, both during the weekend and during the week, we will without a doubt return when we are there next. if you are thinking between waldorf and this, don't think, definitely stay here.

Alles ist auf hohem Niveau. Wir fragten nach ein paar Kleinigkeiten im Zimmer, sie waren kostenlos. Es gibt einen preiswerten Parkplatz, 15 Dollar pro Tag. Hatte ein Grand Deluxe Zimmer, es war geräumig mit einem Balkon und einem großen Badezimmer. Frühstück ausgezeichnete Säfte Wein Essen, Kellner Service. Wir gingen zum Abendessen in das Fleischrestaurant des Hotels, wo wir warten mussten, um einzutreten, dann haben wir lange auf die Bestellung gewartet und die Preise waren hoch.

Das Dan Hotel wird augenscheinlich sehr stark von Reisegruppen frequentiert, die Ihren Focus mehr auf die Tageserlebnisse legen, als auf eine komfortable Unterbringung. Das Hotel wirkt insgesamt etwas dunkel und ist stark renovierungsbedürftig und leider auch sehr hellhörig.Der aktuelle gebotene Standard entspricht max. einem 3 Sterne-Haus zu einem 5 Sterne Preis. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit Geld zu wechseln, der Geldautomat im der Lobby funktioniert nicht. Der Pool ist geschlossen, das Personal mäßig freundlich, lediglich das Frühstück war ein Lichtblick. Hat allerdings was von „Fütterung der Raubtiere“ was aber an dem Publikum liegt. Durchgerostete Türrahmen erwartet man in einem Hotel für knapp $ 300,00 nicht wirklich,oder? Die Zimmer wirken sehr abgewohnt und ungemütlich. Die „Minibar“,ist ein leerer ausgeschalteter Kühlschrank. Auch das ein Airport-Transfer vom Flughafen zum Hotel nicht zu organisieren ist, hatte ich bisher in keinem anderen Hotel dieser Preisklasse. Habe mich selten so „ über den Tisch gezogen“ gefühlt.

O my God... where do I begin?... The hospitality & love the staff shows is apart from anything I've experienced in Jerusalem! It is the.most moderately priced hotel (yay for that!), but the breakfast you get is nutritious & vast enough, the mint teas or coffees you can pour yourself throughout the day are a very special touch, and if you need a pick-me up lunch or dinner they make that available to you, too, with no hassle just love, and it's delicious! They renovated the 3rd floor, which is really special with marble floors, a big TV screens and very nice rooms! Lower floors are less expensive & modest, but they're all you need when you're on a pilgrammage, and was perfect for me! Also... this is the clincher: you begin the Walk of Jesus from this very point to the Garden of Gethsemane along Palm Sunday Road, then through Lion's Gate and Via Dolorosa to the very, very Church of the Holy Sepulchre! And this, you must walk for the full experience or you're seriously short-changing yourself! - Which means, you should be based at this hotel! The best upscale & quaint restaurant & cafe is right beside the Hotel and everyone says they ate the ery best shewarma of their lives here! Also... another clincher: the Mount of Olives Hotel is right beside the Ascension rock from whence Jesus ascended! A must visit! Orthodox churches & monasteries are all around the Hotel so again, a perfect choice for Orthodox Christians, and remember, you can walk to Old Town Jerusalem from here or take a local bus! And you have the best wide angle view of Jerusalem from the Lookout Point, overlooking the Dome of the Rock & the Golden Gate! And on a personal note: someone stole my iPhone from the OldCity, so I had to ask staffers umpteen times to use their mobile phones for whatsapp communications with my security advisor, and they were always obliging, understanding patient & compassionate! Das Hotel ist relativ alt. Es ist auf dem Ölberg. Das Essen im Restaurant ist in Ordnung. Im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels in Israel gelten die Kosten als gewissenhaft. Es sind 40 Schekel pro Person, aber die Entfernung zum Friedhof beträgt nur mehr als 100 Meter. Wer tabu ist, sollte sich das gut überlegen.

Bei unserer gemeinsamen Reise mit einem Freund haben uns von der ersten Minute an sehr wohl gefühlt. Dafür hat die Mitarbeiterin Anitta gesorgt. Wir konnten unkompliziert unsere Sachen vorab ablegen und all unsere Fragen wurden sehr kompetent und hilfsbereit beantwortet. Auch Fragen rund um das Viertel und günstige lokale Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wurden hierbei beantwortet. Nach einer eng getakteten Reise konnten wir hier zur Ruhe finden. Unser Raum war ruhig, sauber und sehr komfortabel. Die Lage ist perfekt. 5 Minuten entfernt von der Altstadt. Daher sind wir voll zufrieden und können das Hotel mit Nachdruck empfehlen.

Great hotel with friendly service. Ramzy the hotel general manager was attentive and polite to guests. Only 15 minute walk to Holy sepulchre church through Damascus gate. Ich blieb hier mit meiner Mutter für 9 Nächte. Das Zimmer war sauber, eine gute Größe und es hatte einen Kühlschrank, den wir wirklich geschätzt haben, weil es gut ist, Wasser kalt zu halten, wie es hier heiß ist. Alle Mitarbeiter haben wirklich hilfreich und immer mit uns geprahlt. Wir hatten jeden Morgen Frühstück, das schmeckt, eine gute Auswahl an Lebensmitteln. Wir hatten auch Abendessen auch ein paar Nächte. Noch einmal, das Essen war verschieden und wirklich schmeckt und es ist alles kosher nur Einfall, das für Leute, die denken, Besuch ist wichtig. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer guten Lage, nur 15 Gehminuten vom Damaskus Tor der alten Stadt so leicht zu erreichen, zu gehen und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten dort und natürlich die Märkte zu erkunden. Alles in allem hatten wir einen großen Aufenthalt.

Hotel Manager Frau Rania ist eine sehr brutale und nicht professionelle. Meine Familie von vier kam für einen 3-Nacht- Aufenthalt. Sie sagte uns, das Wasser funktionierte nicht und müsste in ein anderes Hotel gehen! Es waren viele Gäste ankommen und Check-in-In. Das Hotel war eindeutig überbucht und lag bei uns. Das Hotel, das sie uns zu schicken wollte, war günstiger als das Heilige Land. Zuerst sagte Rania, dass sie für unseren Aufenthalt an dem günstigeren Ort zahlen würde. Nachdem wir uns darauf einig waren, dort zu bewegen, sagte sie, dass der volle Preis für unsere Buchung, auch das neue Hotel war £250 günstiger auf booking.com!!! Wenn sie angegriffen wurde, wurde sie EXTREMMENT aggressiv und ich hält mich cool und ließ ruhig. Seien Sie hier sehr vorsichtig, da dies in der alten Stadt üblich ist, die Zimmer überbucht werden. Aber zu behandeln in einer solchen Cowboy-Mannschaft war schockierend. Ich würde niemanden empfehlen, hier zu bleiben.

Hotel is in a authentic style, large rooms with AC and fast WiFi. Good breakfast, with a different type of hummus and a perfect location, just a 15 mins walk down the sreet and right to the old city. It's the best offer in town for this price!
