Wir haben hier drei Nächte im September geblieben. Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Suite mit einem extra Schlafzimmer, einem wirklich großen Wohnzimmer, einem sehr schönen Badezimmer und einem Balkon. Der Ausblick vom Balkon war wunderschön, da es das Meer anfing und wir genossen, am Abend draußen zu sitzen und das Fähre ankommen zu sehen. Das Frühstück wurde im Zimmerpreis enthalten und war ausgezeichnet. Die Lage ist wirklich perfekt - Restaurants und der Pfeiler, wo alle Bootsfahrten sind in einer einfachen Spazierweiterung. Wir können dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen.

Das Apartmenthotel des koreanischen Ehepaares ist super sauber und bietet einen erstklassigen Service. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Fluss und die Landschaft ist toll, vor allem auf dem riesigen Balkon zu sitzen und Kaffee zu trinken ist wirklich ein Genuss. Am ersten Nachmittag unseres Aufenthalts sah ich auf dem Balkon einen Schwarzbären. Ich dachte, es sollte Bären geben, weil es viele Fische im Fluss gibt. Infolgedessen war ich überrascht, als ich mich mit dem Onkel von Korea unterhielt 😱. Ein weiterer Bonuspunkt ist die Sauna im Zimmer

Wir haben 2 Tage bei Bayview in Courtenay geblieben, während wir Freunde in Kamloops besuchen. Das Hotel ist bequem direkt neben dem Flusswand gelegen. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer war sauber, ruhig und hatte gute Einrichtungen. Die Miniküche ist sehr grundlegende, aber war gut für 2 Nächte. Das ist das dritte Hotel, das ich in Courtenay geblieben habe und die meisten meiner Aufenthalte sind für Geschäftsreisen. Meine Rangfolge für die besten Hotels 1) Old House Hotel und Spa (Liebe zu den Apartments) 2) Bayview Hotel 3) Best Western (wie eine Drittens entfernt) Das Old House Hotel ist jedoch sehr teuer (nicht eine Sorge um Geschäftsreisen), So in Bezug auf den Wert, Das wäre meine Klasse 1) Bayview Hotel 2) Best Western 3) Old House

The worst Ramada I've ever stayed in. An absolute dump! I should know, I paid for seven nights and every night I regretted my choice. Take a look at the photos, this demonstrates what we had to live with to try and make the heat bearable. Why so hot, the beds are located in a loft. All the heat collects up in the sleeping space, and little portable fans do absolutely nothing to cool things down. We had to sleep on top of the sheets in our underwear. Get used to sweating all night! The hotel staff refused to fix the AC. The first two days I asked three different staff if someone could fix it, only to be told that none of the AC works in the hotel. Bizarrely, when challenged that my friend two room doors down had AC, the staff members refused to acknowledge it as real. When I told them his room number, they still claimed that none of the rooms had AC. Talking to other guests, some had AC, some didn't. The ones that didn't were told nobody in the hotel had AC. This meant our patio door had to stay open all night long. So we got to enjoy adjoining rooms smoking on their balconies, which meant that as non-smokers we got stuck with second-hand smoke everyday and throughout the night. Other guests drinking and swearing on their patios, they might as well be doing it right inside your open doored room. Further, the hotel faces onto a busy highway, so all day and all night you get smashed with traffic noise. Half of the wall sockets don't work. The breakfast is mediocre at best. The staff aren't empowered to address any of the issues. Because the hotel is 50yrs old, it's dirty, worn-out, carpets and furniture are filthy, the bathroom is nasty, cleaning staff are absent on the weekends, etc, etc, and etc. I travel a lot. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, even if it only cost $5 per night. Sadly I paid over $200 per night. Ramada, your should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves! Room 314 Jul 10-17, 2023
