Having paid £109 for the room and an additional £5 for parking I was expecting something a bit better than what we got. The staff on reception were lovely and very friendly, but the room was a bit tired and cold. We stayed in room 401, which was an end room on the 4th floor, which on first inspection seemed very nice. However, it soon became apparent that the air conditioning unit didn’t work, the windows were both broken so they couldn’t be opened and were leaking, the one radiator in the room was rusty and ineffective and there was signs of damp on the ceiling. I think for the price of the room these issues should have been fixed before we arrived. Had the price been lower I wouldn’t have minded but if you’re charging more than other places I think the standard should be higher.

Frühstück, aber ordentliches Dinner machen dieses Hotel zu einer sehr guten Unterkunft, dies vor allem für Bahnreisende, weil der Bahnhof fußläufig zu erreichen ist.

Morgans Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are amazing, & nothing is too.much trouble for them. Our room was large, well - appointed & had a very comfortable super king - sized bed. Breakfasts are freshly cooked to order, & the range of food available for evening meals is of excellent quality. Parking is directly opposite the hotel, is secure, & has 2 EV charge points. As a base for exploring Swansea & the Gower Peninsula, Morgans Hotel is a delight & well worth a visit.

Im Hotel mit einigen Freunden geblieben. Perfekte Lage im Stadtzentrum. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, gab auch gute Empfehlungen für schöne Orte, um in der Gegend zu gehen. Zimmer waren sauber und modern. Ich kann nicht an irgendwelche Negative denken, würde es definitiv empfehlen. Danke!

So, here goes. The bath in my room leaked and flooded the bathroom floor with 5cm of water on the first morning of my stay. No, it didn't run over the top of the bath, and the water wasn't up to the overflow, it leaked somewhere else! Being in a hurry, and not wanting to return to an indoor pool, I used all of my towels to mop up the flood. I spoke with reception later that day, and they offered to change my room from 4** to 3** due to the flooding. I also mentioned that floor 4 smelt of damp? Later, a member of the hotel's staff confirmed that there had in fact been a flood from floor 5 through the ceilings in to the rooms below on the 4th floor. Whilst I was assured that my room was not one of the rooms affected , I was surprised that a) no-one bother to mention this beforehand, in fact they were trying to hide it b) rooms were let out on a floor where there was potentially a respiratory health risk! So, having packed my belonging I trudged down from the 4th to the 3rd floor (did I mention one of the lifts wasn't working?). I unpacked only to find that the TV in room 3** was inoperative due to; a) there being no remote control b) the arial lead was missing from the TV (who steals TV arial leads!) So it was back down to reception who kindly found me yet another room this time with a TV with a remote control and arial lead + a Bath that hopefully wouldn't flood.. on the 2nd floor! And of course this meant packing my stuff up (again), trudging down another floor (again), and unpacking (again). Yep, you've guessed it, by now my restful, stress free stay was anything but! In summary, unless you've got a desire to live out a 1970's hotel sitcom, but without the view (did I mention the semi-permanent scaffolding?), and a car park resembling a bomb site (literally), I'd probably suggest giving this one a miss.

Das Hostel ist sehr nahe am Bahnhof und leicht zu finden. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Haben uns gleich bei der Ankunft schon Tipps gegeben, zu Sachen, die man in der Nähe machen kann. Ein Schlafraum mit 12 Leute hatte 2 Badezimmer, was meistens gut geklappt hat. Dadurch das es keine Fussmatte vor der Dusche hatte, war der Boden jedoch teilweise ziemlich nass und dreckig. Der Aufenthaltsraum ist relativ gross mit Küche, Tischen und Sofas. Die Küche war zwar gut ausgestattet, jedoch nicht sehr sauber. Zudem hatte es nicht genügen Waschlappen vor Ort, um sie selber putzen zu können. Es hatte meines Erachtens nur ein Abtrocknungstuch. Ansonsten haben wir uns aber wohlgefühlt und die Gegend ist definitiv schön.

Es befindet sich im Herzen der Stadt. Wochentage sind perfekter Ort mit vielen Menschen und Aktivitäten. Wochenende ist wie Wüstengebiet und Nachtzeit ein wenig ruhig. Bequem mit Restaurant im Lobby. Das Hotelzimmer ist durchschnittlich standardisiert, aber das Bett muss wirklich aktualisiert werden. (Zu weich) Gut erhitztes Zimmer. Toilette und Dusche Standard und sauber. Das Beste ist die bequeme Lage mit Einkaufszentrum und Busterminal in der Nähe.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr gut in Teilen. Das Cateringpersonal ist ausgezeichnet und die Qualität der Lebensmittel gleich, vor allem Frühstück. Effizienz und Hilfe Rezeptionisten und Barpersonal. Das Problembereich ist Hauspflege. Wir hatten ein teueres Zimmer, aber keine Service- oder Reinigungsarbeiten, bis wir uns beschwerten. Das Zimmer wird durch einen zweiten Stuhl, die regelmäßige Bereitstellung von Kuchen und Toiletten, ein Fernseher mit Rücken auf dem Batterieraum und ein Mittel, um die Balkontür offen zu halten, wenn Wind herrscht. Parkplatz im benachbarten Multi-Storey ist gut, aber dafür muss bezahlt werden.

Die Küche war zwar gut ausgestattet, jedoch nicht sehr sauber. Zudem hatte es nicht genügen Waschlappen vor Ort, um sie selber putzen zu können. Es hatte meines Erachtens nur ein Abtrocknungstuch. Ansonsten haben wir uns aber wohlgefühlt und die Gegend ist definitiv schön.

Das Hotel wirkt etwas moderner, aber im Inneren mit nicht übersehbaren Alterungsspuren. Dennoch: Als Standort in Südwales für eine Gruppe Museumsbahn-Reisender war es eine ganz gute Wahl. Sehr freundliches Personal, recht gut ausgestattete Zimmer, zwar nur britisches (!) Frühstück, aber ordentliches Dinner machen dieses Hotel zu einer sehr guten Unterkunft, dies vor allem für Bahnreisende, weil der Bahnhof fußläufig zu erreichen ist.

Having paid £109 for the room and an additional £5 for parking I was expecting something a bit better than what we got. The staff on reception were lovely and very friendly, but the room was a bit tired and cold. We stayed in room 401, which was an end room on the 4th floor, which on first inspection seemed very nice. However, it soon became apparent that the air conditioning unit didn’t work, the windows were both broken so they couldn’t be opened and were leaking, the one radiator in the room was rusty and ineffective and there was signs of damp on the ceiling. I think for the price of the room these issues should have been fixed before we arrived. Had the price been lower I wouldn’t have minded but if you’re charging more than other places I think the standard should be higher.

So, here goes. The bath in my room leaked and flooded the bathroom floor with 5cm of water on the first morning of my stay. No, it didn't run over the top of the bath, and the water wasn't up to the overflow, it leaked somewhere else! Being in a hurry, and not wanting to return to an indoor pool, I used all of my towels to mop up the flood. I spoke with reception later that day, and they offered to change my room from 4** to 3** due to the flooding. I also mentioned that floor 4 smelt of damp? Later, a member of the hotel's staff confirmed that there had in fact been a flood from floor 5 through the ceilings in to the rooms below on the 4th floor. Whilst I was assured that my room was not one of the rooms affected , I was surprised that a) no-one bother to mention this beforehand, in fact they were trying to hide it b) rooms were let out on a floor where there was potentially a respiratory health risk! So, having packed my belonging I trudged down from the 4th to the 3rd floor (did I mention one of the lifts wasn't working?). I unpacked only to find that the TV in room 3** was inoperative due to; a) there being no remote control b) the arial lead was missing from the TV (who steals TV arial leads!) So it was back down to reception who kindly found me yet another room this time with a TV with a remote control and arial lead + a Bath that hopefully wouldn't flood.. on the 2nd floor! And of course this meant packing my stuff up (again), trudging down another floor (again), and unpacking (again). Yep, you've guessed it, by now my restful, stress free stay was anything but! In summary, unless you've got a desire to live out a 1970's hotel sitcom, but without the view (did I mention the semi-permanent scaffolding?), and a car park resembling a bomb site (literally), I'd probably suggest giving this one a miss.
