Vorweg, das Gebäude und die Anlage sind wunderschön. Die Infrastruktur ist super, alles neu und sauber. Das Essen war sehr gut, aber nicht top. Das Servicepersonal im Foodbereich war gut eingeschult, ein Lob an den luxemburgischen Mitarbeiter - hier herrschte im Gegensatz zur Rezeption kein Chaos. Rezeption: ich hatte vorweg per Email um ein ruhiges Zimmer gebeten. Wir bekamen eines im letzten Stock, wo man die Bässe der Musik von der roof top bar hört. Außerdem lag es im Bereich des offenen Atriums, wo man die Kinder schreien hörte. Trotz unsere Melia Gold Mitgliedschaft wurde kein ruhigeres Zimmer vorab reserviert. Apropos Gold Mitgliedschaft: ein späterer Check out (16 Uhr) ist hier vorgesehen, außer das Hotel ist zu 100% belegt. Die Mitarbeiter bei der Rezeption gaben uns anfangs trotzdem nur einen Check out bis 12 Uhr, mit dem Hinweis, dass das Hotel voll sei. Online waren jedoch Zimmer für den nächsten Tag buchbar. Ich wies mehrmals auf die Goldmitgliedschaft hin, aber das prallte an der Rezeptionistin ab. Als wir mit dem Manager gesprochen hatten, bekamen wir ein Zimmer, wo man nicht mehr die Bässe hörte und auch einen späteren Check out, weil das Hotel ja gar nicht voll wäre am Tag unseres Auschecken, wie er uns dann sagte. Man könnte nun sagen: Problem gelöst. Allerdings hatten wir viel Stress und Ärger dadurch, was wir uns locker hätten sparen können. Ich hatte den Eindruck, die Mitarbeiter kennen nicht die Goldmitgliedschaftsregeln. Es werden roboterhaft Höflichkeitsfloskeln heruntergesagt, aber echte Kommunikation war nicht möglich. Ebenso erschienen die Damen hochnäsig und von oben herab. Betten: diese sind steinhart. Mein Mann hat fast 100 kg und selbst ihm war es unangenehm dort zu liegen. Also versuchte ich, einen Topper zu bekommen bzw eine zweite Duvet, die ich unter das Bettlaken gelegt hätte. Beim Housekeeping wurde zwar das Telefon abgehoben und ein Topper zugesagt, aber nach 20 min kam immer noch niemand. Beim zweiten Anruf hob niemand mehr ab. Also ging ich in die Lobby, wo man mein Anliegen nicht verstand. Schlussendlich wollte man mir die zweite Duvet besorgen, und drei Angestellte!!! zogen gleichzeitig gemeinsam los, um sie zu holen. Man würde mir die Duvet aufs Zimmer bringen. 15 min später -nichts. Ich ging nochmals in die Lobby wo man mir versicherte, dass nun endlich jemand kommen würde. 10 min später - mir wurde ein zweiter Überzug aufs Zimmer gebracht. Diesem Angestellten zeigte ich dann die duvet und er verstand - 10 min später erhielt ich einen Anruf, dass er keine duvet gefunden hatte. In Summe dauerte der Prozess über eine Stunde, es war dann nach Mitternacht und wir gingen ohne duvet oder topper schlafen. Ich konnte es nicht glauben - ein Fünfsternhotel und 340 Euro die Nacht - und nicht eine extra Duvet? Am nächsten Tag sah ich, dass sie am Pool eine Art von Matratzenunterlage hatten - leider wusste ich das am Tag vorher noch nicht. Ich hätte diese gerne genommen. Extra Handtücher: auch hier muss

Die Umgebung ist schön, sauber und hygienisch, die Rezeption ist sehr gut und Late Check-Out bis 14 Uhr, Frühstück ist nicht sehr reichhaltig, aber man kann essen. Tanzanblau wird in der Lobby verkauft, aber es gibt nicht viele Sorten. Das Wichtigste ist, dass es ein chinesisches Restaurant gibt, wenn das Hotel ausgeht und links entlang der Mauer abbiegt. Es dauert weniger als fünf Minuten zu Fuß. Der Besitzer ist ein Shanghaier. Das Essen ist günstig und lecker. Der Besitzer macht auch Tourismusprojekte und ist sehr nett.

The Executive Cottage was elegant, very comfortable, all amenities. The screened porch was perfect for sharing a meal & chatting. Traveling with our daughter, son-in-law & their one year old was fun here. Very family friendly. Breakfast & dinner were well served. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, multiple pools & play areas. Everything was very clean & service excellent. Highly recommend for family park vacation.

We chose to stay at this hotel both before and after our safari adventure, with the initial and final days covered by the safari company. Deciding to extend our stay by an additional day was an easy decision, especially considering the seamless experience we had. Remarkably, we didn't have to switch rooms at any point, enjoying the convenience of adjoining rooms overlooking the inviting pool area. The front desk staff deserves commendation for their exceptional service throughout our stay, setting a high standard for hospitality. The rooms themselves surpassed our expectations, boasting a level of quality that exceeded even that of four-star accommodations in the US. Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed. However, our experience in the bar and restaurant fell short of perfection, which ultimately influenced our rating. On the first day, we encountered an unfortunate incident where our table was taken while we were at the buffet. Despite this hiccup, the culinary offerings were outstanding when ordered off the menu, with prices notably more reasonable compared to the buffet dinner. Breakfast provided a satisfying start to the day. Regrettably, the service in the restaurant was inconsistent, with several instances where we had to actively seek out staff to request the check. This inconsistency in service detracted from the overall experience, prompting us to rate the hotel lower in terms of its full-service capabilities. In summary, while our stay at this hotel was largely enjoyable, particularly thanks to the excellent front desk staff and the quality of the rooms, the inconsistent service in the restaurant and bar prevented us from giving it a higher rating.
