GGastnutzerThis is an excellent hotel with a fantastic stay experience! I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff Saly for her amazing service. She was extremely patient in answering all my questions during the check-in process and kindly arranged a room upgrade for me, which made my stay even more comfortable. The upgraded room is clean, spacious and has a great view. The hotel's facilities are well-maintained and the location is convenient. Thanks to Saly's thoughtful service, this trip was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely choose it again!

KKakoeGreat location with an easy walk to the beach, central Surfers Paradise, and access to the tram to other parts of the Gold Coast. The apartment was clean with an excellent bathroom and shower. The towels were great too - new and fluffy. The furniture in my room was dated, the mattress was old, uncomfortable, and should have been replaced a decade ago, and the apartment lacked any style or decor. I'm not sure if it was just my apt #910 but it didn't look like the online pictures. Overall it served its purpose but was fairly uncomfortable and drab.

Ssuper fishWe stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower. First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay. On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent. In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell. Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night. However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine. Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement. In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems. I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

GGastnutzerFirst, our request for a high floor was kindly accommodated—we were given room 11825 on the 18th floor, which features panoramic ocean views and elegant interiors. Many thanks to your team for that. In fact, my wife has a special request: could we please have this same room every time we stay at Dorsett? Second, the thoughtful gesture of a card, chocolate, and a bottle of wine for our special occasion truly showed how much effort your team puts into making guests feel valued. Third, both my wife and our child absolutely loved the pool and jacuzzi at Star Grand. So overall, our stay was amazing, to say the least. But none of this would be possible without first acknowledging your wonderful hotel staff. You probably see hundreds of guests each day, yet you still take a personalized approach—staying in touch with each guest and understanding their individual needs. Honestly, I hope other hotels will follow your example and make this the gold standard for excellence in customer service. Our last two hotel bookings through Trip.com were disappointing, but fortunately, your hotel never lets us down. The gold-accented interiors are striking and have become a signature look of your hotel. We’ll remember them just as fondly as we remember landing at Singapore Changi Airport. We recently bought a new house and have been decorating with gold-colored furniture from Koala Living. After staying with you, we’ve realized that our inspiration was inadvertently drawn from your hotel rooms. We come to Dorsett every year and have never been disappointed. We look forward to returning again soon.

BBommiLocation-wise it's a great place to be in. Great balcony views towards the slingshot. I personally felt the toilets could have been better. Especially the glass in the bath tub doesn't make sense at all.

GGastnutzerThe service of the concierge, reception and porter were absolutely faultless. They were very helpful, efficient, polite and respectful. The cleaniness of the room was questionable with public hair on the bathroom wall and some sort of dirt splattering on the tiles. There is some much needed maintenance/updating to be done and consultation with the practicality of the layout of the room and bathroom. The pool was not accessible by the time I checked in after my late flight and I could not use it early enough the next morning before I needed to depart which was very disappointing as I need to swim daily. Breakfast in the morning had lots to offer and it was clearly all freshly well made/delicious. I wish I had had more time to enjoy that and make it worthwhile. People with disability’s may have difficulty with the heavy lid containers that house the hot food. Room service was exceptionally slow, inaccurate and poor quality. If you are happy to spend $10 for a single latte to be brought to your room you would hope that it was available as listed or the alternative offered was at least delivered quickly and well made. Notes to room service were not read. Would stay again if I was purely considering the breakfast, concierge, reception and porter staff as mentioned. If the rooms, facilities, protocols and room service have not been updated then I’d give it a miss.

GGastnutzerVery comfortable night sleep, room was clean staff were helpful. Please note the lift is currently under construction so you may need to use the stairs, the stairs are not suitable for children as they have horizontal rails with large gaps. The restraunts buffet looked like it had a decent selection but we did not have it as it was $16each our two and three year olds.

Sehr empfohlen.

GGastnutzerActually Myself and my colleague booked two family cabins for three nights. That is for work and we were the only guests. As per advertised on trip.com we paid for including buffet breakfast. Following day morning when we went for the restaurant we were told they have not been provided our names and we need to pay for breakfast.. So I had to bring my booking print out and show the restaurant staff breakfast was included. Even though they let us eat there they were not convinced and were suspicious I guess. So that day my colleague went to see the manager of the accommodation and he said to me she was not convinced about breakfast was included. My colleague said it was very unpleasant and embarrassing. She told him I need to come down too. But later when I went to see her she said everything is sorted out and problem was they didn't know anything about Trip.com and trip.com send the booking through ******* and wrongly mentioned each of our booking included three adults and the extra payment is for additional adults as they understood. So the third day morning we didn't have issue at the breakfast as our names passed on. But unfortunately last day morning restaurant staff asked us to pay for breakfast because our name was not on the list. Luckily the chef remembered us and he was very politely let us eat. Even though we paid for breakfast we were at mercy of good people. Whole experience was very inconvenient and embarrassing. I think main bungle was done by Trip.com. But management did not bother to completely sort it out. This was my first time with Trip.com and Aaok Moondarra Accommodation Village. My colleague said he did not have issues previously with Trip.com but all those occasions were without breakfast. Other than that accommodation was really good. It had got good Wi-Fi, YouTube and Netflix. My advise is if you book through Trip.com for an accommodation with breakfast make sure with the accommodation that it has been correctly passed on to them.
