The best 4 days ever! Highly recommend this hotel! We were a group of 8 people and had an unforgettable stay here. The hotel owner is one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly, gave us great local recommendations, and even personally drove us to each destination! On the day we went hiking in the mountains, he provided us with free walking sticks. He helped us with everything — arranging transfers, buying entrance tickets, and planning the route. He also allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was incredibly convenient. I shared room 8303 with my friend. The room is designed for two people and had two separate beds, both very comfortable to sleep in. There was also an air conditioner in the room, which made our stay even more pleasant. Another thing we’re super grateful for — the owner kindly let us do laundry. After hiking in the mountains, our clothes definitely needed it! The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, full of natural light, and have plenty of power outlets. The showers were great, with clean water and convenient showerheads. There were all the necessary toiletries: body soap, shampoo — we recommend bringing your own conditioner if needed. The hotel can also prepare food for guests. We really enjoyed the tomato and egg noodles — delicious and homey. There’s also a local café nearby where we had breakfast a few times. The hotel is located in the mountains, perfectly positioned for visiting nearby attractions, waterfalls, hiking spots, and even riding quad bikes. A tip: bring a good quality raincoat if you’re visiting during rainy weather! The owner speaks basic English, and even though it wasn’t easy for him, he patiently explained everything to us in English with so much kindness and care. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable — even helped us search for a lost phone in the mountains! He also called us in advance before our arrival to confirm our plans and helped arrange a transfer to the train station after check-out. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Das hoteleigene Restaurant bietet durchweg hochwertige Speisen, wobei der Mandarinfisch besonders hervorzuheben ist. Der Zimmerservice ist schnell und aufmerksam. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Aufgrund der hervorragenden Qualität des Deer Valley Guesthouse wechselte ich nach meiner Wanderung in ein anderes Gästehaus desselben Besitzers, Youhao Valley, um meinen Aufenthalt fortzusetzen.

This hotel is located stone throw from both the bus terminals, so location 5 stars. Amenities - rooms, restaurant, foot massage center(cannot locate) and Chinese chess rooms. Not sure, how this hotel is awarded 5 stars? Rooms setup - guess it is time to renovate. Heard the renovation project is approved! Cheers! Services - rooms for improvement! As I had a early flight to catch at 9.50am and the earliest bus from the mountain to the tourist center was 6.30am (again different front desk staffs told me different timings) so I tried to request for a paid car service to send me down. They said the hotel doesn't provide such service, asked me to reach out in the streets to see if the resturants or shop owners can provide such services! 1st time encounter in a 5 stars hotel, really a good learning for me in 2024:)
