Die besten Hotels in Xpu Ha, Mexiko

Ich habe 4 Nächte im Royal Tulum Catalonia verbracht und als Vielreisender in meinen Dreißigern möchte ich meine Meinung sagen, damit Sie nicht den gleichen Fehler machen, den ich gemacht habe. Dies ist ein Resort für ältere Paare, die einfach nur am Strand liegen und nichts tun wollen. Das Resort ist wunderschön und der Pool und der Whirlpool sind schön. Das Personal ist bemüht, einen guten Service zu bieten. Aber das Essen ist absoluter Schrott und die Getränke sind noch schlimmer. Sie sind weit von der Innenstadt entfernt. Wenn Sie also ausgehen möchten, müssen Sie viele Taxis nehmen, die sich summieren. Auch werden die Mitarbeiter versuchen, Taxis und Ausflüge zu einem verrückten Preisaufschlag für Sie zu buchen. Am besten verlassen Sie das Resort, melden Ihr eigenes Taxi und bezahlen die Ausflüge bei Ihrer Ankunft. Positiv: schönes Resort, schöner Pool, schöner Strand? Negativ:: Das Essen ist schrecklich, billiger Alkohol, Reservierungen für das Abendessen erforderlich, nur 1 Stunde im Spa erlaubt, weit weg von der Innenstadt, die viele Taxis erfordert, viele Käfer.

... wir suchten als allein reisendes Paar ein paar Tage Erholung und Sonnenschein nach einer Woche New York. Den Sonnenschein findet man (meistens), allerdings ist es mit der Erholung so eine Sache ;-) Eines vorneweg, wir waren die letzten beiden Jahre auf den Malediven und es kann gut sein, dass unsere Eindrücke hier und da etwas subjektiver ausgefallen sind... Es handelt sich um einen riesigen Hotelkomplex mit sechs Hotels. Dies Gäste stammen überwiegend aus den USA, Canada, Russland, Spanien und Mexiko selber. Deutsche haben wir nur ganz vereinzelt getroffen. Für viele junge Amerikaner ist Mexiko vergleichbar was für uns (einen Teil zumindest) Deutsche Mallorca bedeutet => Party und Saufen bis zum umfallen! Aber auch die Mexikaner nutzen das Hotel scheinbar gerne für Vereinsausfülge. Dies haben wir zumindest mehrmals sehr negativ wahrgenommen. Wir sind nach drei Tage ins Maya Palace gewechselt (für einen Aufpreis von 50 Dollar pro Tag und Gast). Wer es sich erlauben kann, dem raten wir definitiv zu diesem Upgrade. Falls man euch an der Rezption (so wie uns geschehen) abwimmeln möchte, bleibt hart und verlangt notfalls nach dem Manger. Im Palace ist es zwar ebenfalls laut, aber kein Vergleich zum Colonial. Das Klientel ist ein etwas anderes. Die Gäste im Colonial nehmen überhaupt keine Rücksicht aufeinander und es herrscht fast rund um die Uhr eine sehr hohe Geräuschkulisse. Und dies egal wo - im Zimmer, am Pool, in den Restaurants, am Strand, etc. Die Zimmer sind okay und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, aber sehr hellhörig. Gerade nach 22 Uhr ist von einer Nachruhe nicht zu reden. Ich möchte hier nicht nur negative Punkte aufzählen, aber wer Ruhe sucht, sollte sich definitv eine andere Unterkunft aussuchen. Wer aber Party und frohes Miteinander sucht, der wird hier fündig und die riesigen Pools, gute Animation, mehrere Poolbars und gute Buffetrestaurants mit einer großen Auswahl an leckerem Essen vorfinden.

Das Personal wurde getroffen oder miss. Hat einen wirklich tollen Service und einige nicht so tollen Service. Der Strand war schön und auch für die Öffentlichkeit offen. Sie werben einen Strandclub, von dem sie Sie beauftragen, zu sitzen, an dem ich dachte, es war seltsam, als ich ein Gast war. Die Strandrestaurants schlossen ein 5:30pm. Das kontinentale Frühstück war subpar. Ich habe den Salmon und Mahi Mahi zum Abendessen versucht und beide Gerichte waren ausgezeichnet! Perfekt gekocht und voll von Geschmack. Die Straße Lärm und die Nachbarparty, die zu 1am ging, war nicht ideal, aber ich denke, das ist, was die Ohrschleifen waren. Die Zelte waren wie erwartet. Es wurde dort ziemlich nass. Angesichts des Preises, den ich für den Austausch fühlte, war fair und ich würde definitiv wieder buchen.
