Excellent friendly obliging staff, though the next time we book to stay here we'll be sure to ask to be at the back of the hotel, away from the main road and car park. The room needed airing but it didn't feel right to leave our bedroom window open as we spent the day on Barry Island, before catching an early flight. Didn't eat there due to dietary requirements and they were good enough to put a small something in their fridge to cater for my wife's needs. Convenient bus stops outside the hotel, cabs available as well, though we walked to the airport as it was a nice day and we were early, with little traffic on the Sunday.

Whilst the staff and the restaurant are in god shape the rooms are below what one expects for the price paid. Going out to Lanzarote our room was cold and the duvet inadequate. I had to put my coat on top of the duvet to keep warm. The decoration is poor - not good. Scuffs etc with poor attempts to make it look better. The bathroom outdated with signs of mould. All needs replacing.But the water was hot.
Coming back we asked for a ground floor room (our earlier room being on the lst floor with no lift). The room was warm but in a worse state than the first one. Shoddy repairs - a rusty shower pole - all needs a total refurbishment. But this room was warm but as with the first room heating was not turned on AM. We had fish and chips going out about which we have no complaint. Would we stay there again? Not unless a total refurb of the rooms has been carried out.
