My wife and I are big fans of Hampton Inn. We're members of the "Hilton Honors" loyalty program. The problems with this particular hotel the lie with the staff. Our schedule of events kept us up very late and sleeping until noon or so. (6 nights) After night 1, I saw a housekeeping supervisor and said "I realize it's 1:00, so we don't need cleaning, but please give us some towels, tissues (there were 2 tissues in the box when we checked in), and toilet paper. (we had 1 roll at check-in) She agreed. When we returned that night, nothing had been provided. The person at the front desk apologized and gave us the items.
Same time the next day (1:00 or so), we stopped at the desk as were were leaving for the day and said "Can someone at least provide fresh towels and take the used ones out? And it would be great if someone could clean the room a bit". We came back to the room that night to find that no one had been there. The front desk apologized and gave us fresh towels. No offer to remove the used ones. (or trash)
Day 3: 12:45. Stopped at the desk and said: "Our room needs to be serviced". She replied without looking up as if I was bothering her: "Probably can't happen until tomorrow". I said "Tomorrow? It's not even 1:00".
She said they'd try.
We returned that night to find new towels. The old ones were still there.
Bottom line: Our room was never cleaned for our entire stay. The trash was never removed. Nothing to blame but bad management.
