Element Chelmsford

So never stayed here before as been somewhere else - really nice hotel - slightly basic facilities in the room but the highlight is Mitch at the bar - there were 16 of us here on work and he was the best - great food (flatbread pizza) top bloke thanks for keeping us sane #thebrits

Very nice, well-run hotel. 2 stars leftover from previous owner and before remodel into Element, should be at least 3. Very comfortable bed, well-equipped mini kitchen in 1-bedroom suite. Friendly staff, decent free breakfast with lots of options and even omelettes/eggs made to order. Bar open weekday evenings with Mitch the bartender is a nice touch. We thought the place was kept very clean, and yes the pillows were wimpy and the bathroom sink shallow, but otherwise highly recommend this hotel if you need to stay near Chelmsford.

Great location! The breakfast food and staff are fabulous!! Had an issue with housekeeping but the desk staff handled it wonderfully and efficiently. Would definitely stay here again next trip!

I've stayed at this hotel last year and I had a favorable experience. This time I would say the stay was a different experience. What a difference a year makes! The hotel is fairly new and appears to be decent when you arrive. When I got to the lobby there were two people waiting for the hotel clerk who was no where to be seen. After about 15 minutes the clerk waltzed to the front desk and proceeded to take care of the people in front of me. For some reason it took an inordinate amount of time to check the people into the hotel. No idea why. Then I finally got my turn and it took about 2 minutes. I get to the room and I find a pretty nice set up with a one bedroom room with a kitchenette and living room. Upon examination I see a lot of issues: 1) The walls appear to have had holes in them that were newly patched but not painted (see picture); 2) There are burn holes in the rug in the living room (see picture); 3) The remote in the living room has no batteries; 4) The body scrub is empty in the shower; 5) The safe is locked shut. I guess I don't understand how this room was rented out with all the issues. Also, who checks the room to make sure the remote is functioning, the body scrub is filled and the safe is operational? Seriously, here's a thought for management: Instead of all virtue signaling signs in the parking lot for parking for vehicles carrying multi-persons and EV's, how about just getting the basics down in the rooms and get people at the front desk that are present? It really shouldn't be hard! I will say that the two ladies that were making eggs, french toast, home fries and bacon were delightful! They were cheerful and easy to approach. They made great eggs too! Overall, I'd say get it together Element Chelmsford! You are missing an opportunity here. I travel a great deal on business and personal and I can tell you I will be avoiding your hotel in the future!

We are an elderly couple. We stayed over the weekend after Thanksgiving. We asked that our room be cleaned every day especially the towels because my wife is immune compromised. Our room was NOT cleaned the second day. But with some effort we did find a set of clean towels. However, the shower did not work well. There was one narrow heavy stream rather than an even spray. So we had to do a body wash using a wash cloth. All in all, it wasn’t a pleasant stay.

Nothing outstanding about the hotel. Clean and comfortable, but not over the top. The chair in the room was not nice, no arms at all - looked and felt like a leftover from a sectional that was on clearance.

Clean and spacious I have a family of 6 and we all fitted in one room comfortable.

Mass amount of fat fruit flies in the kitchen and bathroom areas of room 123. Eww gross.

The hotel was very nice and the front staff was very kind, however, after I checked out, there was a surprise $400 charge on my credit card that nobody could tell me what it was for nor can I get it refunded. Please do not go to this hotel unless you have an extra $400 to burn & no one in management can affectively return your calls or messages.
