Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa

This is our second time here, and it’s always a pleasure to stay. Everything is done so well, staff are friendly and professional, nothing a problem. The pool for adults is wonderful with pods for people to relax in, while having something to eat or drink. The rooms are comfy and furnished well for the climate.

The first time e came to Broome and stayed at Cable Beach was in 1990! The resort was not even two years old and much smaller and there was a zoo which was quite an oddity. Broome is a long way from Melbourne so we are not regular visitors however we stayed here last year before taking the Ponant cruise and now again this year after a 3,000km drive from Perth to here. I mention the latter to set the scene that we were here for a 3 night rest before heading home. We were given a lovely room, 351 opposite the adult pool. All was good until 2.30 this afternoon when management in their ‘wisdom’ thought the 90% of seniors sitting around the pool, reading and napping were affronted by what was to be 3 hours of techno music. Numbers of us, sitting up from our supine positions looking like meerkats, thought’ what the hell?’ I went straight to management to complain. Very apologetic the very apologetic manager added that this was a Friday afternoon session and that there was free beer and rose and some food being offered. Given our room was in direct hit from the thumping bass the ‘special Friday afternoon’ was an ‘assault’ on our peace and quiet. I believe a number of complaints followed and finally the music was turned off. Thank goodness. On a positive note the hotel has been kept really well, the service is excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The food offerings are good but Melbourne/ Sydney prices. On a sad note that few people would really care about, there used to be a grass area near the adult pool that a number of kangaroos would be found eating the grass and lying in the shade. Now there is mod turf which I personally hate and now denies the kangaroos a quiet resting spot to have lunch! Lastly but not least, could the resort please ditch the single use plastic bottles. Supply reusable water bottles to the room for a small extra charge and place water fountains around the resort.

It is hard to write a review for this stunning resort but after coming here since my kids were toddlers from various locations in the state, I left this time with a bit of a sigh. The rooms haven't changed much in 30 years, testament to their quality build with stunning grounds & pools. Some areas starting to look tired around the exteriors.The staff in general are lovely. We didn't have a vehicle this trip, choosing to eat exclusively at the resort and this is where we felt the lack. Around the food and not just the cost of it. Buffet breakfast expensive if you don't eat a lot, great if you do;room service of pizza, no plates, no serviettes, sure eat out of the box and drinks not delivered, so a walk to Divers for a bottle of rum; first meal around the pool on a quiet day before the long weekend,mushy prawns, dry bland club sandwich; drinks out the front every night, beer OK but waiting and asking twice for my drinks.Sure these things can be addressed by returning,chasing up but adds a level of annoyance when you just want to chill. The biggest disappointment however was Sunset Grill, plastic mats on outdoor tables and being told by the gentleman overseeing, that there was 'no lingering' over cocktails, people are encouraged to order straight away,eat and leave. Diminishing the overall expectation of any dining experience other than drive through fast food perhaps. The steaks & sides were good,steer clear of mac&cheese. Kichi Kichi by the family pool provided the tastiest food we had along with a great dining atmosphere. Judging by the hours of doof doof music around the adult pool last Friday and subsequently in all of the rooms bounding the pool, I wonder if the Resort is targeting a different crowd. Very Ku De Ta feel to it but not very well read by the providers as most of the crowd would have been over 60, loving the sun, the birds, the drinks,the calm? We came expressly for a chillout,this was not the vibe I was looking for here. Have loved this resort and its grounds, ambience and style for years however not sure at $6-800 per night that it is 'the place' anymore, unique as it is.

Had the best experience here! The staff were incredible from start to finish and the rooms are stunning. We had a beach view room and it was amazing. Sam at the restaurant was so lovely and accomodating and full of great information. Couldn’t imagine a better time away

We spent 3 days at this resort. Everything was above expectation, from the reception staff to the room staff to the great dining restaurants. The pools are fabulous & of course you are just across the street from Cable Beach. Sunsets are magic. Highly recommended. We will certainly come back.

We have stayed in many hotels around Australia and around the world. This resort rates amongst the best we have stayed at. The staff were oh so friendly and welcoming and this made for an enjoyable experience. Our room - ground floor - had a very comfortable king size bed and was well appointed. There was a fridge and an amazing shower - the floor was non slip. There was plenty of hot water and we had a great verandah to sit on and enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. We were close to the bar and restaurant and we suggest a pizza as a tasty and enjoyable meal. We did dine at the restaurant and the food was first rate but quite expensive. We didn’t eat breakfast there. The wifi was good but telephone reception was a little difficult at times. Overall our 3 night say was just lovely and it was sad to leave.

The stay was amazing - beautiful clean facilities, nice calm atmosphere, lots of space and things to see and good location. The best part of the stay were the staff! Incredible service, so friendly, smiling and relaxed. Felt super comfortable and at peace staying here and one of the best coffees I’ve had in Broome from the Italian restaurant located next to reception

15min late into appointment. Soak lasted 5min with no scrub or massage.Awful/limited colour choices.Bad paint job, bad nail shape. I think she is in training but if so why charge full cost? Or the spa was so quiet why wasn’t the other spa lady assisting her/supervising her. Poor thing should be way more supported and trained. Lacking a lot of confidence and it’s not her to blame but the people responsible for her/managing her. Left feeling overcharged and with a very very substandard service and poor result that I need to have redone somewhere else tomorrow. Better off going down the boulevard for $55. Much much better. Just paid $115 for what service I couldn’t tell you.1/5.

Excellent customer service, beautiful and clean rooms. Cannot identify any faults at all. We stayed in the adults only section, which was tranquil and perfectly serene. We did wander through the family friendly area which looked like great fun for the little ones. There is also a shuttle bus to and from the airport at a small cost. The shuttle bus to and from town is free. Both are very convenient. Our luggage was brought to our room and collected at the end of our stay. Lots of choices for food and drink, so you don't even need to leave the resort at all. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend.
