Wifi in the room didn’t work I had to check twice with the reception but it didn’t work I had to go to the lobby to access wifi. Despite having allowed to check out at 1pm housekeeper still knocked on my door at 12pm. Receptionist gave wrong info about going to the city. They made mistake with my number of luggages. Very disappointed with this Marriott property

Die Eincheckung war etwas langsam, unser Zimmer war nicht bereit für die Check-in aber sie gab uns Komplimentargetränke als Entschuldigung, so dass wir einen Drink hatten, während wir warten, sind extra 30 Minuten oder so. Die Damen an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Zimmer waren sauber, aber die einzige Seite war, dass unsere Dusche drain blockiert war und das dauerte eine Armee zu lösen. Wir schlossen wechselnde Zimmer am Ende, aber die Kommunikation war schrecklich. Das Frühstück war gut, obwohl ihre Kaffeemaschines scheinen nicht für den Großteil des Morgens richtig zu arbeiten. Insgesamt ein gutes Hotel, ausgezeichnete Lage, Pool war warm, Sauna war gut, Fitness war ein Bonus. Ein entspannender Aufenthalt

The hotel is a bit far from the city centre, about 15 min walk . The facilities in the hotel are good. I like the kitchen in the room and I can make my meals during the holidays. It's really amazing.The staff members are really friendly and responsive.The breakfast was really good too. Highly recommended to people who are going to Cardiff.

Booked room with walk in shower and large bed. First room had interconnecting door shower over bath and double bed. Second offer of a room was a disabled room still with just double bed. Then found out that all rooms only have double bed with shower over bath. Staff were very helpful but didn’t tell us upfront so we wasted a lot of time. In fact we didn’t have enough time to eat before we had to leave for our event. So finally we had to have a snack at 11:30 when we returned. Even then we had to go out to get it as room service is only available via an app

I feel like the cleaning service could have been better. Dirty towels left behind, cleaners forgetting their phones in the room, coming in to clean even if do not disturb sign placed and on checkout day before checkout time. It was very expensive for what was offered to be honest

Stayed one night. Not sure if because of renovation, the reception area wasn't very welcoming, pretty much self check-in set up but staffed too. Busy hotel, popular pool, gym, need to wait your turn for sauna & steam room but Impressed with facilities. Room service food was basic. The room definitely need updating and shower pressure not great. Overall fine though, would stay again.

The only reasons I gave 4/5 stars for service was the self service hot beverage station and making your own toast. Order their specials better, however, this time my poached eggs were not soft. Excellent wine and excellent bar lunch which they allowed us to eat in the restaurant which was a bonus. I love this location. Walks through the wetlands and to Penarth and easy links to Barry Island. Spa brilliant and the quiet area next to the gym brilliant for reading

I have a really mixed feeling about this hotel. I booked the superior room with tree lined view and asked for a quiet room: the receptionist gave me an extremely cold and noisy room right next to the motorway and above some nightclubs. My watch has identified the noise level is over the normal limit. I couldn’t fall asleep due to the loud noise even at midnight. I called the receptionist to change a room. Unfortunately, they first gave me a standard room that the heating system was not working and much smaller than I have paid for. The two maintenance officers who came to check the heating system are very helpful and suggested to change to another room. Only by then, I was able to change to another room that matched the similar sized of a superior room, but without tree lined view. I must say that all the receptionists were friendly and polite but behind their friendliness, they are not really helpful at all. I had my dinner, a sea bass meal, at the restaurant - see the photo. The dinner and the service was both outstanding. The kettle in the room was not very clean; it could easily be cleaned by using small spray to remove the calcium. The gym and swimming pool are excellent. If you are not used to live in really loud room, please double check with the receptionists. It is also not worth to pay an extra 10 pounds per night to get a so called tree lined room with extreme loud noise. I also wonder the reason for the hotel to give customers rooms that the heating system are not working. It would helpful to check before they allocate room to customers. It would also helpful that the hotel ensure that the room has reasonable temperature before admitting guests, esp on a very cold winter night. Overall, this is not a very good experience. I was not able to sleep for a whole night. I paid extra in the hope of getting a better and quiet room but ended up with one of the worst room without getting any compensation.
